It's been there since 1983 (and in business since 1968). I think we rolled in there in our giant station wagon with the wood grain paneling on a family roadtrip in 1985. (Had our wagon been "metallic pea" instead of burgundy, we would have been the Griswolds) From the name to the merch, this is a classic. Seashells, candy, boiled peanuts, jams and jellies and so much, much more. Lots of retro vibes... and the "only in Florida" feel. Goldben Eggs are $1.65/dozen, milk is $1.89/half gallon, store brand cheese is $1.85/block, and 80/20 ground beef is currently $3.69/lb. You'll need your own bags at Aldi, and the "rental and return" cost of a shopping cart is .25 cents (you get your quarter back when you return the cart). These are some of the cost-saving measures that Aldi has implemented - I think both are great ideas! I'll be back!
