I got oranges which were very good, but they were expensive. They taste much better than anything from the store. The staff was friendly and let us sample pecans, oranges and watermelon. They have a lot of interesting food items and knickknacks. The only drawback is the prices are a little high for me, but all the I-95 fruit stands are expensive.

I love it here!!! Passing through St. Augustine and found the Nut House. Friendly, funny and helpful staff. Bought some local honey, local beer and the boiled Cajun peanuts!

Suppernong Cider! Never heard of it before!

Very friendly & helpful staff. Lots of goodies to choose from. They sample the oranges, wines and probably willing to let you try anything else you're interested in buying. It's the cider and boiled peanuts that drew me in but we ended up buying a lot more than that. The Cajun boiled peanuts were very good, you have to stop in and get some - it's a staple on a Florida road trip! The Orange juice was also very good. I picked up some Suppernong Cider which I've never heard of, I'm really excited to get it home to chill it and try some! If you caught all the billboards on the way in (don't know how you couldn't have) and you're debating on making the stop, do it! You're sure to find plenty of goodies, road snacks and souvenirs!

Very disappointed to get home after 1400 miles and spending almost $100 at this business where they clearly don't care that they are ripping people off! I had to throw 5 of my 12 grapefruit in the garbage, even tried to salvage the other half of the one below but it tasted rotten throughout. They sort through these everyday but I was still given an old bag despite our conversation and his knowledge of my trip home to Maine with them. I won't go back, EVER and I have made my vast numbers of friends and family aware to stay away from The NUTHOUSE!!!

Be careful here! We stopped on way home back to Virginia last Tuesday. We got chocolate covered pecans but there's hardly and nuts inside. We also bought two bottles of their fruit wine and i just saw sticker on the key lime wine that said $52.99. What? I about died when I saw the price sticker. This place is a rip iff. DON'T GO HERE!

Got my sticks of alligator jerky here. We got a mini lime and lemon tree to bring home. The people who worked here were very helpful , knowing we are not familiar with the area. They have big massive billboards advertising the place. You can't go wrong coming here for souvenirs. Driving down the highway, you can't miss the billboards. It caught our eye, so that's how we ended up coming here. The alligator jerky is really good. Bout 4 for $10. It's a blend of gator and beef. I enjoyed the BBQ flavor. Samples the oranges and the bits. I enjoyed the cinnamon nuts, and the pralines. I bought some red akin peanuts to bring home. Had to bring me a taste of Florida! There is alligator heads displayed at the shop. For animal lovers, they would probably be upset.. but it didn't bother me. They even have gator feet back scratchers lol. I'd be scared to scratch my back with them but some people might enjoy them more than I would. They have a massive selection of fire works. They also can ship any good you want to buy and there is no shipping tax to do so.

Buy 3 bags of orange with high costs and bad quality. Very bad experience and never come to this store again.

Too overpriced; nothing unique; you can get nuts if not cheaper but at the same price in any other store.

Interesting home made preserves, etc. Their Pineapple Pepper Relish is excellent. Also Amaretto Peach Pecan Preserves.

There were Beanie Baby and jewelry booths, I think there was soap and secret ingredient moisturizer, custom signs, so not all food. If it weren't so hot we would have stayed longer. You might see tractors roll up through out the day bringing fresh picked broccoli or cauliflower. The carrots and potatoes are also grown right here, berries are local; and more I'm not thinking of for sure. The flavor and quality of the produce will knock your socks off!! County Line makes me seem like a better chef than I am, because everything tastes so good!! The fruit - berries, citrus, mangoes, bananas, you name it! They have several refrigerator coolers as well, where you can get herbs and lettuces. There are some locally made goods as well, local honey, barbecue and hot sauces, etc. The people are knowledgeable, kind and wildly efficient. The most amazing thing is their prices. The cauliflower is at least twice as large as what's sold at the grocery store; it tastes ten times better, and costs half. I have doubled the amount of vegetables we're eating weekly for less than I would have spent at the grocery store, and it tastes so good! Driving out each weekend has become a little ritual for me. I slow down, enjoy the drive, select wholesome, fresh for the week, and most weeks I get to see one of the farmers there unloading fresh veggies from their tractor and I get to thank someone who is integral to feeding my family. I'm sad when my schedule occasionally doesn't permit me to go. Good to know: bring cash, they don't accept cards.
