The space is cozy and arranged to promote family feel and conversation with the other guests, tables close and people are so friendly. I Don Luigi's gourmet kitchen is absolutely my favorite restaurant in Palm Coast! I can't wait to go back! Fabulous Italian food! we had a party of six. Each person ordered something different and it was all phenomenal! It's a small intimate restaurant. There were a lot of things to like about it, including the fact that the staff is so friendly and so sweet. They were very accommodating in our party had special dietary requirements. linguine with white clam sauce was really bad. I had 2 clam shells and the rest was chopped up clams tasted from a can. The sauce was so watery and light brown. Had 3 spoonfulls and could not eat it. told waitress and they charged 1/2 price should have been the whole price taken off. Never going back. read more

I was SOO anxious to get good calamari as my meal, even though it's only listed as an appetizer. Less than a year ago I went there and was happy with the portion of the calamari, and it was really good. However, this time, the portion was about a quarter of what I previously had there, much higher price and it was way overcooked. I was so disappointed. Won't be returning. read more

It's small, cozy and if I was in this area again I would call ahead and make a reservation to not be disappointed with the limited seating space. The lasagna was outstanding. By far one of the worst meals I have had EVER! If you're Italian or if you're just someone looking for a good Italian experience, this place is not for you. 1. Plate of oil and seasoning for bread put in front of us to start. Oil not olive oil, no taste, no salt, no flavor. 2. Fried calamari.. pale in color, yet extremely over cooked. We could not eat it. 3. Chicken cacciatore.. made with very thin, school lunch grade chicken breast, marinaded in something that made the chicken look burnt and it tasted bitter. Served with potatoes?!!! My husband ate his chicken parm which again was a school lunch grade patty with a side of inedible pasta. Over priced. I want to give them 5 stars because their food is delicious but the rest is lacking! Their online reservation system does not reflect the restaurant's capacity. It's small and the tables are very close together. Every time we've dined there, it's been a different experience. Once was awesome. One of the times we booked online, they called us to move our dining time. Time didn't work for us. On another occasion we waited over a half hour past our reservation while other couples were sat - they were all older than us. That was strange. We finally left. The staff tried, but said that people showed up late for their reservations and weren't getting up from their tables. If you can get to the food, it's great, but not worth the hassle for me again. read more

I have to start with that I should have taken pictures of the food. I will when I return. We finally tried Don Luigi's last night. Why, did we wait so long? We started our meal with a Calamari appetizer. There was plenty for the 3 of us. It was cooked perfectly. Tender and tasty. It was also served to us quickly upon ordering our meal. The bread was wonderful. Light and crispy. The crust omg good. They put fresh garlic butter on it. This yelper would love it plain with Italian dipping sauce. IE olive oil and ground pepper. I tried the Saltimbocca Di Vitello. The veal was so tender. The sauce perfect. The polenta was tasty and mixed well with sauce. Mrs went with her usual Fettuccine ALfredo. Their Alfredo sauce is light and very favorable. It had a hint of fresh lemon added to it. The owner paid us a visit and I was surprised when he told us how it's made. Our niece went with.Penne Alla Genovese. She loved it. We will definitely be back to experience his other items. Came here for the first time today for my birthday. Very disappointed. I do have pro and cons. Greeted very friendly. Sweet nice waitress. Decent bread. Hot to table and tasty. Salad was mixed greens. It was just OK. They have two types. Caesar and regular garden. Only three options for dressings. The entrées are extremely expensive along with the appetizers. We got a cold antipasto salad for 2. It was below average. It had rolled up salami, prosciutto, and a couple of other meats that were pretty disgusting looking. Probably four pieces of mozzarella cheese and we were told that they usually use provolone but with the price of provolone it's very expensive so now they're using mozzarella. It would've been nice if we had more than four pieces. Some roasted red pepper and olives. That all set on a platter on a bed of lettuce. But as I said, nothing to write home about. And this is a very pricey item on the appetizer list. We both had the chicken marsala. We both got angel hair pasta. We had a choice of pastas or vegetable. The marsala sauce was delicious. But only came with one piece of chicken. And not a very big piece. I asked if my pasta could have red sauce on it. It came in a separate dish next to my plate and it was drenched in sauce. And I swear it tasted like jar sauce. It was very sweet and for me and it was inedible. Since it was my birthday, they did bring me a free dessert of cheesecake, which was probably the most delicious thing we had today. Came with whipped cream on the plate along with the cheesecake. That was absolutely delicious. Sweet wait staff sang. Cloth tablecloths and napkins but the silverware look like it was beat up and washed a million times. You have the ambience of a little Italy restaurant, but you have beat up silverware. Very high priced food items and crappy silverware. The place needs a serious cleaning. I looked up at the light fixture and the cord it's hanging from had thick dust from the ceiling down to the fixture. All of the light fixtures in the restaurant had a lot of dust on them. Quite disgusting. Things like this are going to be noticed when you're paying high prices for not just the food but the whole experience. Bathroom was clean. No stalls. Private room. Not the worst place I've ever been to, but the place needs some work. Best part was the wait staff and their friendliness and the dessert. The prices do not warrant what we received. Don Luigi needs to make some changes to improve the ambience, cleanliness and more importantly the quality of the food and its presentation. read more

We tried Don Luigi's one night when we were staying at Beverly Beach Rv park. Apparently I misread the address and thought it was just a couple miles from where we were staying. Once we realized it was farther than we anticipated, we decided to continue based on the reviews that I read online. Wow were we glad we did! The whole experience was great! The service was great, my husband had the Special Ribeye with linguine Alfredo, and I had the Gamberito con Pomodoro (sp?) which was jumbo shrimp in a white wine butter sauce with orange zest! What a lovely place! My friend was in the mood for Risotto. We just type Risotto in the Yelp search and found Don Luigi. My mother and I had the Lobster ravioli, so delicious. My friend enjoyed her Risotto very much. It was one the best she had in a long time. We had a wonderful time & a delicious meal. The severs were so nice. A++ all the way, start to finish. To start with, the BEST Fresh baked bread you ever had at a restaurant with the olive oil and herbs dip was Great. The Zucchini Fritte with a garlic aioli was excellent. Veal Marsala with mushrooms and angel hair Capellini pasta along with a bottle of very good Barolo was the perfect pairing. Fast and Friendly service was very much appreciated. The subtle Italian music playing in the background was very nostalgic and the perfect touch. They only have 6 or 7 tables so it has a very homey atmosphere and you are not blasted by the conversation noise pollution you are subjected to at the larger chain type restaurants. You can tell that the owner really cares about and takes pride in the food that he is preparing. GREAT place to take the family or friends for a very classy meal and experience. Plus, the prices are very reasonable for the quality food that you receive. Would ABSOLUTELY Recommend Don Luigi's as THE PLACE to go in Palm Coast. read more

Being generous here because the chef is so nice and gracious. He stopped by our table to ask if we were enjoying the food. Didn't have the heart to tell the truth so maybe he'll see this. The quality of food and ingredients were not fresh and seemed to be straight out of food distribution truck. The oil on the table to dunk bread was not olive oil. Just flavorless vegetable oil. Meat quality was very low, like one would find in old folks home or grade school. Tomato sauce was overly sweet, likely due to use of high fructose corn syrup. I understand that inflation is wreaking havoc on food prices. But the restaurant charges premium prices that do not reflect the taste or quality of the meals. Palm Coast isn't really a foodie town, so my guess is most customers have lost their ability to taste or don't know any differently. Fresh baked bread on the table was only redeeming experience. read more
