Really good deals on pretty high end items. You should bring your own bag, they sell plastic & cloth bags there, but there are no free bags. Employees will have boxes left around for the intention of a customer using it to carry out their groceries. Their selection is quite impressive & they are a predominantly organic market. Personally I like being able to get a dozen organic eggs for $3.99 & organic bananas for $0.59 a lb as well as a few ounces of Norwegian smoked salmon at under $4. I always bring at least 2 clothe tote bags & a cooler bag to get everything I need in one trip to the store. They also have wine & beer very reasonably priced. I can't attest to the quality of the wine selection, the prices are Trader Joe's esque in that department.

We came here on a Sunday morning to see what the rave was all about. Great timing, since it was pretty much empty except for maybe 4-5 people. At first, I was a bit confused, since they charge you $.25 to use a shopping cart. I was impressed by the cleanliness of the store. I noticed it was cold inside the whole store. Was wondering if this was on purpose or not. Prices are incredibly cheap. They have organic selections for both produce and non produce which made me happy. I noticed they have their own brand of food and it looks extremely close to the named brand itself. They also have a huge selection of fancy, international cookies, chocolates, and cookies. I also did not know you should come in with reusable bags for your groceries. In order to keep their cost down, they do not provide bags. In fact, there's a very long bar at checkout where you bag you groceries after you've paid for them. I like this store. I see what the fuss is about, however, honestly, both Aldi's are far away from where I live, I so I probably wouldn't make a special trip out.

My 2nd experience at Aldi...Had my quarter, no problem. Brought my bags July 4th. As soon as I enter the store, I am greeted with "We're closed" It was 3:55. She said grab what you need, but check out quickly. She was closing flaps on the dairy & meat sections, quickly & loudly. Instructing everyone she could that they were closing. Complaining that it would take a long time for them to get out of there. My first instinct was to leave, but badly needed milk. There was approximately 50 people in the store. So, I check out & put my bags empty bags in the cart. The cashier intentionally starts putting my items in the cart...not the bags. Really???? Will NOT go back!!!

I found out they were going to be here so I planned to visit the Farmers Market. Locating the Farmers Market was not too hard. The area it is located in is so cute. Parking is hard. You have to park on the street which is tight! There is a small section of parking lot opened at the church, but, that fills up fast. Parking on the street is better than the lot. Be prepared to walk to and from your car. They had about 20-30 different places. You can get fresh produce, knifes sharpened, bath products... and DOUGHNUTS! It's a nice small farmers market.

Bodacious bakehouse have you covered for your freshly baked artisan bread needs, Cowboy Syd's got your neo-southern gourmet goodies (those of you who are Norfolk locals will know about Chef Meers and his famous restaurant career), meanwhile Cullipher Farm brings you locally grown fruits and veggies from Pungo Ridge. Three ships coffee roll up in their awesome coffee machine (don't know what I mean? You should be here then!) and Doughminion Donuts brings the treats for your sugary needs, soon to close their doors in Selden Market, but they'll be here right through til September. Then there's Fayton Farms artisan cheeses offering up some finely crafted small batch cheese from Mechanicsville but locally sourced milk, and Hampton Roads Winery coming through with the vino offering a taste of their wines for $1, and my personal favorite The Flower Lady, Robin Lindsey from Portsmouth along with her heeler pup Reno - bringing fresh free range chicken and duck eggs along with locally grown flowers. It's small, but there are plenty more vendors I've not named that should be checked out. The later in the day you get there the less there is on offer to buy, but it's definitely one to check out, just make sure you bring some dollars with you, it's not the cheapest - but all in the name of supporting small businesses right!? Love your locals!!

I stopped by on a Sunday afternoon after church and ordered the chicken salad sandwich (Freemason). Fresh, flavorful, and exactly what I was craving. When the weather's nice, I always try to grab a seat on the patio. It's such a relaxing spot to enjoy a good meal and soak up a little sunshine. Also, I have to shout out their potato salad is one of the best around. Creamy, just the right amount of seasoning, and always hits the spot. TASTE is the kind of place that makes you proud to support a growing local chain. Great food, great atmosphere, and always a solid experience.

Based on visits over the past 5 years, which have been spaced further and further apart, I was hesitant. And my hesitancy proved to have been warranted. Husband's Northender on Multi grain My Princess Anne also on multi grain. Bread was so dry and stale that I simply struggled to eat the filling. The tomatoes were that hard, white inner core that most people would not feature on a sandwich. Finally in frustration I walked up and asked for a slice of baguette, which was the main meal's only redemption. Let's not even talk about what has become barely a step up from snack pack desserts. Both my (Bakehouse--oh my gosh, are they kidding?) gold brownie and my husband's blueberry mishmash had one bite from them before they too went straight into the trash. (Both tasted more of chemical, than of food) Sadly, what used to be one of our favorite weekly visits pre-Covid, has become less than lackluster, and far from its name. Rather it should be renamed yet again, from the original, Taste Unlimited, to Taste and now should be called, Tasteless. For the price of $50, one would think the meal would at least be edible. Hopefully this review will help me remember why we stopped going. Definitely do not recommend.

I have had issues with this Kroger location since it opened. I finally just stopped shopping here…read more However, I have continued using the pharmacy. I have been a Kroger pharmacy user for approximately 23-24 years; both in Ohio and here. Everything has always been great and I have only started having problems with the pharmacy personnel here within the last year. I always get my proper medication, but that is not the issue. The problem is the surly, condescending attitude of the young girls who work there. The tone in their voice is one of condescension as if they are doing the customers a favor to give them their medication and take their money. Anything out of the ordinary seems to irritate them. In fact, they just seem irritated all the time. That has been going on for a while but now it has escalated to actual rudeness. Example: because of illness and disability I have been using their prescription delivery system for the last 7 months. Last Saturday I called the store and made arrangements for a delivery on Monday afternoon. (Deliveries must be arranged in the morning of the day prior to the actual delivery and no deliveries are made on Saturday or Sunday. Then, on the delivery day the delivery arrives between 2-6 pm.) The tracking app used by the delivery company is not very good and often it is impossible to track. So, a delivery can be tricky. Anyway, back to this particular time, I realized on Monday morning I had not received any confirmation and could not locate the delivery in the app. I called the store to check on it and spoke to a very nice woman named Ashley. She checked for me and said my medications (There were 5, mostly heart meds. One was nitroglycerin and really needed.) had been bagged up and were sitting there waiting to be picked up that afternoon. Great! At 5:15 pm I realized time was running out and I hadn't heard anything about the delivery. So I called the store again. This is where the customer service problems really got started. A young girl answered ( I won't include her name) and told me the meds hadn't been picked up yet. I said the time was getting short, I needed the meds and would she check to make sure they would be delivered. She said they use an outside company and there was nothing she could do. I explained the seriousness of the heart meds and why I needed them. She said in a - why don't you stop bothering me - voice, "Most people pickup their prescriptions." What????? I remained calm and said I am disabled and unable to drive and must use the delivery. She couldn't have cared less and said, "Maybe they will deliver them tomorrow." Maybe???? I then asked for the manager and first she told me he had left for the day. I asked what time he would be there tomorrow morning and she said he wouldn't. It was like pulling teeth to get information from her. Finally, she said he was taking the week off. I asked who was in charge in his absence and she said, "No one." Well now, that's a definite problem - if it's the truth. Needing the meds and realizing i wasn't able to make that happen that day I told her to just arrange for the delivery for tomorrow. The next day I was telling my neighbor about this situation and he insisted on driving me to the pharmacy drive-thru and we picked up the meds so I could be sure to have them. Then, when I got home, I received a text message from an area code I did not recognize saying, "Hey they told me you picked up the order." It had to be the meds because I hadn't ordered anything else from anywhere else. I didn't bother to respond. However, I am seriously considering calling the Cincinnati HQ and talking about the poor hiring and training practices at this store. What's wrong with people?

Food is always priced well and their options are wonderful. The service is helpful despite the busy…read moreatmosphere.
