The price is right here, average about 6-9 % less than Walmart. Looked at Aldi, Walmart, ShopRite, and ACME locally with 1130 products. Same Brand, size, type, etc. Price Wize looking at Walmart as 100.00 spent Unity, what I Found was as follows: ALDI: $92.00 WalMart: $100.00 ShopRite: $152.00 ACME: $171.50 So one cart with same product will cost 100.00 at Walmart, same items and sizes will be 171.50. read more

Sinks and toilets in ladies room are filthy. No debris but caked on dirt. Obvious it has been this way for quite some time. This is the same restroom that employees use to wash their hands. I notified manager but I can only assume manager was already aware as it is the only restroom in the store. Please clean your restrooms. I can post a photo if mgmt would like to see it. read more

so i saw a couple ppl leaving this store at 7:55 so i assumed it was opened .. i went in picked out stuff and this tall man with glasses rudely told me we were closed and that i had to put everything back or just give him the stuff, seeing i had my own bag (they don't supply bags unless u purchase them) so i proceeded to say "oh i brought this bag in and id assume if u guys were closed wouldn't u have locked the doors so no one can go in?" the proceed to tell me it was my own fault for not knowing their hours and proceed to be followed and walked out by a shorter guy with no hair. i always come here but im beyond disappointed with how i was treated today. read more

Was staying at Wildwood crest NJ when I realized it might be easier just to run off the island and do our shopping for the week. To my surprise we found this Aldi which was stocked and clean with everything we needed. It was also away from the weekend chaos at the other local grocery stores. 2023: I've been going here for years and the people are great, they show me where stuff is and are always quick to ring you up. Such a variety of great products and at such great prices! Their store brand products are cheaper and better than Walmart. Produce, meats, snacks, baking, frozen, refrigerated and even general use products like detergent/softener, plates and paper towels, and a small seasonal section. I went from spending $400+ every two weeks in 2013 on groceries for a family of 6, plus 2 dogs to spending half of that and getting more at Aldi. I'll only go to ACME, shop rite Walmart etc, for specific things. I'm also getting more food for less money, the kids are happier with the snacks and at less than $2 for a family sized bag of chips, same for a pack of cookies, same for a box of oatmeal, it isn't hard to see how I'm able to feed my family for such a long period while spending so little. Want to bake? Every spice is like $1.00 per bottle, garlic parsley etc. Plus coffee beans, grounds, pods and filters are all sooo much cheaper than anywhere else. Went to aldis in rio grande yesterday (10-18-21). Totally disgusted with the cashier around 3:00 pm. Went with my daughter so shared a cart. Got to the register we were not allowed to get another cart to leave so we could separate our groceries. Cashier "they way you walk in this store is the way you walk out"", no exceptions". REALLY!!! And rude voice. Also the older woman ahead of us had an armful and was not allowed to get a cart to ease her arms. What!!! Bullshit!!! The cashier had put her groceries in the cart, the one that is always there. The older lady was told to take them out and carry them. No cart allowed because she didn't bring one in. This is so over the top ridiculous!!!! I pray it's not a new policy cause if it is.....buh bye!! Whatever happened to customer service!! Get it right Aldi!!! read more

ALDI in Rio Grande has been a godsend for me. I have never purchased anything there that I didn't like, the produce is both cheap and fresh somehow, the candles are ALWAYS burning at my house, and my grocery bill has been cut in half. Sometimes I have to stop at Shoprite if there's a specialty item I need that Aldi doesn't have, but for the size of the store it's amazing how I almost always find everything I need right there. The employees are friendly, helpful, and present. Sometimes the other shoppers can be a bit oblivious (LOL) but that's just the world these days. read more

This store didn't have organic bananas but was selling regular bananas as organic be very careful when picking up organic products at this Aldi. The management in this store seems to be non existence. read more

The employees at Aldi's were wearing masks. Unfortunately one employee who was stocking shelves, only covered her mouth but not her nose with the mask. Definitely more comfortable for her but not for the shoppers. She was breathing all over the fruits, vegetables and all the refrigerated items. What if she was an individual that tested positive but symptom free???? Also the cashier was wearing his mask the same way. Fortunately, plexiglass was between him and the shopper. Does Aldi take Covid seriously? Are they concerned with keeping their shoppers safe? This is not a good place to shop if you are serious about Covid! read more

After several calls to corporate I no longer shop here they are dirty store and never have many items in stock. When I ask at the store they tell me to get here early corporate is worse to speak with. Most of their fruit is bad and smells like rotten fruit mold is always growing on the strawberries I actually watch an employee put out moldy strawberries. read more

I've been shopping at Aldi's since they opened here a few years ago. I nearly always find everything I want there without needing to go elsewhere. All is fresh, usually well-stocked, and staff are constantly replenishing items. I've always found staff to be helpful & pleasant. The tourist season can be especially challenging for staff and customers as the store isn't large. read more

I would like to give Aldi's a 3 star because I've experienced both good and bad. But the bad is so very bad! The good includes some fresh produce buys, but watch the date and quality. I've had great potatoes for little money and another time they looked like they were on their way to rot with scab. Not everything is a deal. Sometimes Aldi's has the best deal, especially on lemons, carrots and organic greens and the leader produce deals for the week. I bought beautiful, giant acorn squash last fall, cheap, and recently zucchini was a great deal. Butter is a good buy as is cream cheese and I found a great variety of imported specialty cheeses that were reasonably priced and tasted very good. There have been times, more than once, that I went to Aldi's for an advertised item which was not available, and Aldi's does not give rain checks. The extremely bad includes their "gourmet" imported coffee. I thought it was awful! And my very recent experience with St. Louis spareribs on sale for $1.99 per pound was even worse. This was my first meat purchase from Aldi's and the meat appeared to be good and lean in the package. However, it tasted absolutely terrible and was literally almost 99% fat. We found it to be inedible, the raccoons had a feast. This was a total waste of money. I've checked out the advertised salmon deals and after reading the very fine print discovered it was Atlantic Farm Raised. I won't eat farm raised and therefore didn't buy it. Pay attention to the packaging, the date and fine print. I will shop there regularly, but only for a very few select items and never again for meat. read more

I walked into this store expecting to get some groceries. Instead, I had an unearthly experience. It was as if I was transported to an alternate universe where grocery stores were operated with both extreme tension and absolute carelessness. I can not accurately express in words the extreme discomfort that walking through the store gave me. No music, no organization (ie; canned beans shelved next to adult diapers), and no food that anybody would actually buy. Avoid this store at all costs. Walmart seems like a castle compared to ALDI. read more

I went into Aldi in Rio Grande yesterday around 3 PM. My mom and I had a very rude lady ring us out. Her name was Arianna. Aldi was pretty crowded as is. My mother and I were placed at a register & were told to wait for someone to ring us out. We unloaded our items out of the cart, and were rung up. As I started to move the cart and my items to the side, (which was the cart that I shopped with & got with my quarter), I was told to return it right back to her stand. I was confused considering this was the cart I got up front. My mother and I had too many groceries in order to just carry in our hands. Our reusable bag would be too heavy in order to carry around the store with us. Many other people were walking out with their carts they got up front as well. Arianna stopped us and said "this is my cart". My mom looked at her and said "no? This is my cart". Arianna then says "where did you get it?". My mom replied with "up front". Arianna said, "oh well what happened to my cart?", when in reality there was NO shopping cart at her stand to begin with. We were accused of taking her cart when she didn't even have one & it was ours. We were treated disrespectfully & this was not our only bad experience in Aldi.
