I really love Produce Junction but the employees are rude! I know I gave the checkout lady a $20 for my $16 ordered! She turned back to me after giving my $20 to another lady who told me I owed her $6!! I just left the bank and all I had were $20's!!! Very uncomfortable situation since the 2 women were complaining about ME in their language! No supervisors and no way to check there tray amount!! I just love this place. There are several locations throughout Southern New Jersey and Pennsylvania and I have been to most of them but this particular location is the biggest and the best. They are loaded with bulk quantities of fresh produce and much better prices than you'll find at any big box grocer. They also have fruit and deeply discounted plants and flowers. Where else can you buy a large orchid for $5 or a bouquet of roses for $6? Note that there are sometimes long lines and you'll have to wait in separate lines designated for fruit, vegetables, and plants to pay and request items that are behind each counter. read more

I have been here many times but this was the last! I have overlooked the rudeness of the employees many times but I am done. 6 women all standing behind the check out counter speaking their own language & scowling, taking a breath long enough to shout NEXT and then go back to barking at each other. While I was standing, being ignored, waiting for a total I was not comfortable with all the talk of which I did not understand. The only English spoken to me was the amount and as I was leaving "have a nice day?". If you can speak English well enough & add figures in your head please be courteous to the customers. Prices at the local grocery stores can be high even for average vegetables so I'm glad there's a Produce Junction in the area. (Even if I have to drive from Cape May to go!) Plants are in one area, veggies are on one side, and fruits are on the other. Some things are out for you to grab yourself while others you ask for at the counter. I've been trying to eat heathier but high grocery store prices for fruits and veggies make it hard. Produce Junction evens the playing field price wise. The only downside is that you usually buy way more than you need because it's packed that way but still cheap! (I.E. 8 lemon for $2, 3lb of Celery for $2-3, Cauliflower 2/$3, and so on) Obviously prices may fluctuate a bit closer to holidays or depending on what's in season. Been coming to Produce Junction for many years now, but I was upset to see my peppers in such a bad and gross condition on the inside. The outside seemed fine, but I wasn't eating it after seeing what the inside looked like. This isn't the first time this has happened. Beware of your final price - these people don't know how to add or they are scamming customers - the price listed and added up does not equal the total they tell you at the checkout counter. Also beware, more of their products are grown in China vs. Mexico and the US. read more

If you're a hot chili pepper aficionado, produce junction is the motherland. I got a giant bag of habanero's for so cheap, I didn't feel one tiny bit guilty biting the tip off of each one and throwing the rest of it in the trash. And it's not like you can use that whole "people are starving in 3rd world countries and you're throwing away food" against me because who the fuck in their right mind starving to death would eat a half eaten habanero anyway? Nobody, that's who. So if you like Jalapeno's and Habanero's, their bins are so full and they're so cheap, you can act like a fat Mexican King, nibbling off the best part and spitting the rest at the dog. Produce Junction consistantly has in my opinion has a higher quality of produce than any of the other discount store of this type in our area. They have a very wide various of vegetables the are not available elsewhere. They have a great selection of cut plants that are very very reasonable. My only gripe is that you have to pay in three separate lines; one for fruit, one for veg, and one for flowers! Othewise no complaints, the staff are efficient and friendly. read more

Great place to buy your seasonal fruits and vegetables! Always the cheapest place to do so, but it's CASH ONLY! The Produce Junction is also an amazing place to buy flowers (don't buy near the holidays, try to do it the week before) because the prices are super low. You can buy a dozen roses for under $5! But they do charge more if demand for flowers that week is high (example mother's day weekend). Like one of the comments below, since they only deal with cash they do not have a register and they don't scan your items so they may end up overcharging you or give you the wrong amount of change. They've done this to me before so I always double check. I'd like to think they're not purposefully doing this to every so customer just to make a profit for themselves, but you never know. So either bring a calculator with you OR do your own mental math! read more

The deals are insane; 4 avocados for 2$, 2 containers of strawberries 4$... The prices change & the products change but it's always less expensive than the grocery store. Ok. Love the variety and the prices for the produce. The good- variety, prices and pretty fresh for some things. The bad- got a bag of mini Yukon and it rotten after a week with maggots coming out. It was so gross I couldn't even take a pic. Grapes and strawberries not the freshest. For the grapes, they are behind the counter with tomatoes, lemons, and other produce. Why?? They don't want you to look at the quality. When you pay, definitely check out the receipt to make sure they add it right. read more

Both stores, Northfield and Medford(?) are somewhat in our area are about the same but not necessarily priced the same. Lots of bargains but you must pay in cash, no receipts given, items unmarked, and lines can be long. I do enjoy going to one of the two NJ stores occasionally and have been happy with my purchases, both quality, and bargain prices. I am not aware of ever being cheated price wise but surely with this set up there is that potential. I plan to go today and I am hoping to find plants like I bought last spring if I am lucky! The service here is non existent. I walked in and there was a long line. I thought they must have a really good thing going. I selected some vegetables and stood on line only to find out they don't take credit cards. I paid cash and asked for a receipt. The salesclerk doesn't even use a cash register to ring the sale. Produce Junction is a wonderful place to buy fresh produce. The flowers are great prices. I got an orchid for $5 where it would usually be about $20 where I am. I don't like that the place doesn't have a cash register and counts by hand. I takes a long time and I question the accuracy. Also it would be helpful if they accepted credit and debit cards.
