The good: I got a sports bra for $10. It came in two different colors. They had a Croc like shoe for really cheap as well as gardening shoes. I really like how frequently they get new home goods stuff. Right now, there's camping gear and Aldi's themed shoes for pretty cheap. Aldi's is where I like to get my frozen ahi tuna steaks for poke or seared tuna. The bad: I didn't see coconut shavings in the baking aisle here. Aldi's has a lot of groceries but they don't have everything. They don't have a deli or bakery section the way larger grocery stores have but they are bigger than Trader Joe's. The interesting: They have shopping carts that require a quarter in order to separate from other carts. It's a nice European system to get you to return your cart to the proper cart return location if you want your coin back. This store reminds me of Grocery Outlet. read more

There's an employee there that always has an attitude she has black and red hair. She tries to scan everything really fast and she double charged me on some items then when l bring it to her attention she tries to blame me like l gave it to her twice and proceeds to refund me but she still didn't comprehend she had double charged me because the other item was also charged for. in the end instead of getting a refund she does an item charge difference and only refunds a dollar and some change but it was supposed to be $5.55 plus tax. Anywho l like Aldi but they need more competent employees that are humble and don't jump the gun on you like chill bill l don't care about you just do your job right...also some bigger items l usually Keane in cart and they just scan it from there but not her she's always special and not in a good way. This is the worst Aldi ever. The store always looks like a mess and dirty. Price marked and charged are always wrong here so you have to check your receipt b4 you leave the store to get the price adjustment. Unfortunately I live 16 miles away and this is the closest Aldi to me so I've driven home many times to see I was charged more than the listed shelf price. But what really got me upset tonight and finally forced me to write a negative review is bc I asked to use the restroom at 8 PM while I was checking out since I have to drive 16 miles home but the Mgr Cece said bc Karina cleaned them already customers are not allowed to use them for the rest of the evening. I couldn't believe this so I asked Karina again while she was checking me out if it's true that just bc you cleaned it we can no longer use it and the store still has an hour to remain open and she rudely said yes that's true and didn't give a care to say this to me without any apologies for the inconvenience. Aldi corporation please train your staff to do better. There's other grocery stores we can shop at! Store #18- I realize some days are more challenging than others, however, I would remind the management and staff to be mindful when speaking with customers. As an avid Aldi shopper, since 2020, this was the first experience management was short on friendliness and barking orders as if I was on the payroll. I understand policy and procedures are in place for safety and decreased liabilities, however, to be snapped at because I need to use the restroom was ridiculous. Recently we bought some pulp free orange juice for the first time ever at ALDI. Normally we make our own, but we were cutting corners for an upcoming camping trip. So it took a couple days for me to realize that I didn't check the seal. It was broken. Ugh... ALDI has what they refer to as a "double guarantee" return policy. When they first came onto the scene in South Gate, this policy intrigued me, but I never used it until early June 2018. Not remembering the policy at that moment, I hopped in line and told the husband to get a fresh one. When the nice female employee heard me say "broken seal" she started entering numbers from my previous receipt. Before I knew it, she already set the old OJ aside and had cash back and the new OJ ready to hand to me. Originally, I just wanted to exchange for a fresh bottle of juice, but now that the double guarantee has been tried and true, I remain a fan of ALDI. read more

The worst customer service ever!! I went to this store back when it 1st opened. The employees back then were so rude!! That was thee last time I stepped foot in that market. A friend of mine converted me to go back. She talked to highly of it and how she loves it so I decided to give it another try. I went back today and the employees were soo moody and pissed off. They had additude. The lines were long and there was only 1 cashier open. Some lady dropped a drink by accident which created a mess in the aisle and all over the lady as well. Oh they were super pissed that she dropped it and were even talking bad about her. She asked for a towel or rag to clean herself and the cashier said nope we don't have nothing. Poor lady. this one has issues. i went there yesterday afternoon & when the check out line had 10 people in it they DID NOT open another register. ALDI put in self check out! that way the ONE cashier can help. it doesn't matter how fast the one checker is self check out is better. I have never had a problem here until today. An employee was blocking the entire bread aisle with her pallet and jack. She was in the middle of the aisle and no one could get by. My siblings and I come to Aldis all the time, mostly for junk food :( They have a great selection of German chocolate, they are so rich and creamy! We always get almond or fruit and nut, both are our favs. Other things we buy here is grapes, they go on sale often. Milk is cheaper than in other supermarkets. Eggs are sometimes $.49 or $.69 cents, Almond milk is pretty good, Their bagels are yummy. Great supermarket, friendly employees and always very neat. I'm amazed at this grocery store because of the deals on their items. You won't find everything here like your regular grocery store, but they do have the basics. They have produce, dairy products, canned foods, and bread. I come here to buy the quick basics because it's cheaper than the grocery store. The store is always clean, and they have their own parking lot. They are located within the X-Crossroads shopping center. I don't interact much with staff in the aisles and the last time I went the cashier didn't talk much. A clean, simple, affordable, quality grocery store. Hailing from the Midwest, my family used to shop at Aldi when I was a kid because of their low prices. Aldi has only recently moved to Southern California, and I was eager to check it out one day on my way home from work in South LA. I have to say, it did not disappoint! Aldi is originally a German grocery chain, and is quite efficiently run. It should be noted that they do not carry many name brands, and many are their own. I did not always like this as a kid, but now as an adult on a budget, I really don't mind! This is a very small grocery store with limited selection, but I have found that the products are of solid quality. It is very clean, organized, and simple to browse. They even have an aisle of random non-food seasonal items. The positives: -Great deals - much cheaper than the larger grocery stores! (I saved 50% on my grocery bill!) -Quality products - brands you probably have not heard of, but still quite good! -Very efficient - if you want to use a cart, you must put in a quarter to take out the cart, then the quarter is returned when you put your cart back. Keeps the parking lots clean and free from rogue carts denting your car! After checking out they have an area where you can pull over to bag your own groceries -- keeps the line moving! -Friendly employees - helpful, kind, and efficient. -They accept credit cards! (the stores in the Midwest did not do this in the past) The negatives: -Smaller selection: might not always have the flavors or specialty items you're looking for. Simple produce selection. -Bag your own groceries - could be a positive or negative, depending on how you look at it based on how much time you have, kids to watch, etc. Overall a very solid option in a competitive and expensive market. I wasn't completely overjoyed or extremely ecstatic about Aldi when it sprouted up around the corner from where I lived. I had heard great things about the retailer and had heard many others refer to it as the cousin of Trader Joe's. How could I not shop at a place that hangs its hat on the fact that it is "like Trader Joe's"? Outside of it being convenient, it is rather inexpensive without having to sacrifice quality. Produce is good, flowers are nice and cheap, meats and dairy are on point. They also have an interesting general merchandise aisle that I frequent and shop quite often. I have purchased christmas gifts, baby welcoming, housewarming gifts and birthday gifts all from the unexpected aisle. They also have some awesome keto friendly snacks! It's my new addiction since having declared this new lifestyle. The service is good and the employees are always so friendly and helpful. I do think it's a bit odd that the cashiers sit, but it's all good. I also think it's very smart to charge a quarter for the shopping carts. If it means that I get cheaper prices because Aldi isn't paying for more employees to bring in carts, count me in. They don't have many name brands and pride themselves on quality private label product. I'm in! I have been turning into more of a money saver vs. a name brand consumer. The inside is clean, and the employees are following COVID precautions. Everything is really cheap/affordable, but surprisingly fresh. We bought some veggies here for a dish I am making, and they look crisp. They have a large meat selection that we haven't really ventured through yet, but again the prices are cheaper or fair. They have a selection of frozen pizzas you can buy here to prepare at home in your oven. If you haven't tried those before and love a good pizza, do try these. I think you'll be surprised. It's a good bang for your buck and they are delicious. The only issue I really had was there amount of selection with certain items, including spices. Unfortunately they did not have the spices I required, but I wasn't mad about it. They have your basic, commonly used spices so that's good at least. This small grocery store is a gem to me. We were excited when we heard the news that they were going to open one near us. We've been going ever since.I'm able to get everything I need here. The place is always clean and fully stocked. The quality of items and produce are great. The fruits and veggies are fresh and at a very reasonable price. Please make sure you have a quarter with you. You will not be able to use a shopping cart without it. But don't worry, you'll get it right back when you return the cart. I bet you're asking why would they do that. People are so funny. Yes, it might not have the most extensive collection of brands or items - but it makes up for it in price! The prices here are great, quality is good, I actually really like the quarter in, quarter out (yes, you get your quarter back) cart deal since it helps avoid a mess in the parking lot, and the staff is very friendly. Aldi isn't a "super" market like most people are used to. It is small, maybe the size of a Trader Joe's, and they don't carry 'everything'...so, If you're looking for tons of junk foods or big name brands, then go to Ralph's or Pavillions. But, if you're looking for really good and amazingly priced produce this is definitely the place to come! Their deli meats and nut selections are pretty good too. The cashiers were really friendly and I will definitely be returning to this store! Yes, you do have to put a quarter in to get a shopping cart... BUT when you put the cart back where you got it, guess what?!? You get your stinkin .25 cents back! It's just so people who are traditionally too lazy to walk the extra few feet to put their cart away are now inclined to do so. Not really something to shun the entire store on.
