This is by far the nicer Aldi in town. It's clean and usually well stocked. We save HUNDREDS a month by shopping here. We love it.

So when I arrived at the Amtrak station, I asked one of the helpful agents, what I had just seen. He informed me that it was the mid-week farmers market. When I was done with my very short meeting, I took off to explore this delightful little market. It was only about two blocks long, but it had an amazing assortment of vendors. Traveling by train for the day, I was limited to what I could buy, If I lived local, I would have had shopping bags full. I did buy some scones from one bakery, for a snack later in the day and for my breakfast the next morning. Again, if I were local, I would have bought some fresh vegetables, homemade sausage, fresh flowers and so much more. The vendors that I spoke with were good ole country friendly and I could sense their passion in the products they were offering. In addition to the vendors, a local radio station was broadcasting live outside one of the near-by restaurants. Music to shop by is always a nice touch. As i left the market, I wandered in a different direction then when I arrived and stumble upon a sign alerting parkers not to utilize a lot on Friday night and Saturday. Why? It's saved for the Saturday, Farmers Market. So, I can only imagine the Farmer's Market on Saturday must be BIGGER and BETTER. When: June 23, 2021 Why: In town for meeting - out exploring downtown

They had breakfast food first and the eggs and bacon were wonderful -- no scorched eggs here! The hash brown casserole was also good. They had a salad bar, but we were more interested in breakfast food. There was a carving station with ham and prime rib. Both were very good, although I would have preferred the prime rib to be less done. There was another station that had boiled shrimp. It was cold, very fresh, and delicious. Their bakery items were wonderful. My favorite was the chocolate croissants. They had cakes, cookies, and a large variety of sweets. The buffet was $25, but the only drink that came with that was water. If you wanted coffee or tea or cola, it was a generous extra charge. Their seating area was not very large and filled up quickly. I saw people going upstairs because there were no more seats in the restaurant area. We walked around checking out the groceries after we ate. Most items seemed to be more expensive than other grocery stores in the Springfield area.

I was actually blown away upon a ride. Parking from veterans Boulevard can be a bit tricky but once you're in the strip mall, this place has plenty of parking and it shouldn't be hard finding parking for yourself This place was absolutely huge for a grocery store! Where I walked in from, I was greeted by all the amenities like the : restrooms, hot food Bar, coffee bar, fresh kombucha, etc. The grocery section was very diverse and it had many options such as healthy protein shakes, great single serve meals in the freezer section and plenty of fresh cheeses as well. This store features a really cool upstairs space that I actually did not have a chance to venture to. Tons of fresh produce as well. But ultimately I sell on some of their hot food to go. A chicken breast and some mashed potatoes to go was about $5 which is absolutely good for the price. Overall, I highly recommend this store if I were to come back to the area. Stores like this are hard to find where I'm by so it's great and a grocery store like this exist in Springfield.
