SERVICE This location was awesome. I called ahead to make sure they had an item I'd wanted to buy that had low to no availability at stores nearby. They checked in their stock and held the purse for me to come pick it up. I came and was warmly greeted by the store clerk who recalled our phone conversation. I looked around the store a bit to see what they had, and was offered help. I appreciated the level of customer service from me entering the store all the way through me exiting it. SELECTION/ VALUE The store layout was beautiful with so many different shoes and awesomeness. They were in preparation for Valentine's Day so there were some extra saucy heels just for that. This is one of my new favorites and I'll definitely be checking them out again. They said the store would be moving to the Beverly Hills area so I'll have to go visit their new location. read more

The "store manager" is unhelpful. The store has 0 customers and she's "too busy" to attend me. I asked for a refund on a shoe I bought a couple days ago and I couldn't return them because they were "used". I discreetly explained to her KINDLY that they were a display shoe & they looked worn already when I bought them. She said they were unreturned and I created the dents and scratches. First of, they are cowboy boots and originally have scratches because that's there look. Second, I asked if I could just get a discount because they already look used due to it being a display or exchange them because they are half a size too small. Aldo shoes are the best. I could open up an Aldo Store with all of the shoes I buy there. They last forever, even though I usually purchase 2 to 3 of the same shoe. They are never out of style and I get compliments on all of them. The regional manager David Atkins really cares about the customers. I love the Aldo company and love the shoes. read more

Bought a pair of shoes after associates oogled over them and made me feel they were a smart decision (this is karma for being young and impressionable) eventhough I wanted a color they would have to order. We all decided it would be best for me to just get the brown instead of the white. I wore them out of the store and continued to wear them for about 6 hours as I gradually realized how uncomfortable they were. I tried to return them literally 1 day later and no go. Rude staff! Terrible quality shoes that are way overpriced. Very uncomfortable, shoes/boots made so poor, you can see glue and their fake leather imperfections inside and outside the shoe. Shoes on AliExpress are better quality probably Every single pair of shoes that I owned by Aldo in the past was terrible. Never will shop there again. Buying pair of boots or shoes somewhere else that double the cost of Aldo will last you many more years and will be much more comfortable to wear. I bought Akiyo and Stuartweitzman that 2-3 times more expensive, lasting me 10 plus years and such great quality product that you actually enjoy wearing it. read more

There were two girls there who were absolutely so sweet. They helped me around 2 to 3:50 ish pm on this past Thursday afternoon. They helped me return both my shoes. Super sweet and helpful and did everything they could to assure my return. There was a taller african american lady who I'd especially like to thank. She was EXTREMELY patient despite what i put her through with my in store order for delivery from Irvine. That took like two hours and she never once caught an attitude or got upset with me as I have experienced with MANY other employees at stores. The lady also helping her was super super understanding and kind. Hopefully I get a chance tomorrow to check out what else they had as I had to rush off to work and didn't feel myself in my work clothes lol. This was honestly the SWEETEST and most genuine pair of employees I've met and had help me. I put her through so much and although the wifi was terrible (I work in the mall so I know this. Its not any of their faults), they were so helpful and I am so grateful we got this done. Will be back. I don't remember their names but they were the most genuine pair. Oh, ugh ugh, I LOVE Aldo. I can't control myself when I walk into this store. I always find something I want, and it's one of the few stores you can walk into with a clear idea of what you want and actually find something that matches that. Lately, I've been kicking it in tiny-heeled pointy-toed black babies from here and I love them and they go with EVERYTHING and I can wear them all day. Staff is nice and quick and good with suggestions. They also have a good selection of trendy accessories. AND you don't have to walk out of here after blowing your metaphorical wad. read more

A month after ordering some brogues online and never wearing, I realized that I actually received two shoes with different colored soles. What the... after a bit of Googling of Aldo's return/exchange policy and experiences, I have to say that I was a little nervous that I'd be given a hard time. Nevertheless, I figured it wouldn't hurt to try, and so I drove out to this location. Can I just say that everything was amazing? Maybe it was the fact that the shoes were clearly in mint condition, only tried on once (when I realized they didn't match), maybe it was the ridiculous fact that I received two mismatched shoes, but I'd like to think it's because the staff here is just plain awesome that they didn't raise any questions about me exchanging these shoes. The manager, I'm assuming, I didn't get his name, informed me that I actually received two different types of shoes, and that this shouldn't have happened, and then proceeded to show me the difference as well as taking out a new pair of shoes for me to try. Seeing I wasn't wearing socks (I was wearing boat shoes, calm down), he brought out some insoles for me to try as well (I guess that's what you call slick sales, but either way, PROPS) That's not all, for some strange reason they had no single dollar bills in change so he ended up giving me a little extra change. Like 30 cents, no biggie, but stuff like this doesn't happen often. I guess I'm just really happy because I never really expect this type of customer service, I for sure wasn't expecting it today, and everything well-exceeded my expectations. OK, I've always shopped at Aldo, but this was the first time at the new mall location in Century City. The shop is immaculate and organized with tons of selections. Caveat: This review is only about the customer service! I went to the store shortly before the mall closed. I knew exactly what I wanted and was prepared to be in and out within 5 minutes tops. Anyway, after sprinting to the store, I barely made it (or so I thought). The sales lady tells me that the store closed at 8:30pm, instead of the regular 9pm mall closing. Wth? Why is the door still open? And who turns away a customer (and one who's panting and out of breath at that)?! I sensed the sales lady just wanted to leave early! Perhaps with the remodeled mall, this store has new staff? I've been here several times now and had really good customer service experiences the last two times (the first was a go-in, go-out so that doesn't count), unlike the other (older) Yelp reviews. One of the times, I tried on several shoes and ended up buying none (they were not comfortable), but the girl was super helpful the whole time even at the end when I didn't buy any. (I felt bad). But this last time, the shoes I tried were much better and I actually made a purchase. Anyway, Aldo shoes in my experience are a hit or sometimes miss but they are reasonably priced when you hit a sale. Great selection of styles for great prices. Not necessarily the most comfortable shoes though. I tend to get more of their flats and wedges. Their handbag selection is pretty limited and they do carry some jewelry and small accessory pieces. They have a good sale section you should check out. Shoes can be up to 50% off! read more

Yesterday I was greeted as I walked through the door by a young woman who was very actively helping the only other customer in the store. Two other employees, one of which claimed to two young men looking for employment that he was the manager, the other, a young woman in and out of the back room, neither of whom acknowledged I was in the store. I picked up several shoes to try for fit and worked my way around the shop. Had to listen to the two young men looking for employment (they were picking up applications) as they quizzed the manager about bonus', benefits and discounts. Oddly, instead of saying that it would be discussed in an interview, he proceeded to ignore me, the customer, and talk to them about the subject. Both of the men, one of which said he had graduated Santa Monica, were dressed as if they were slumming at the beach. Really? That's how one shows up at a place in which one wishes to seek employment? To the young men seeking employment - hello, you are looking for a minimum wage job, there are a thousand out there like you with the same lack of skills and work experience, you might want to at least present your self as something other than a total slacker. Anyway, that said, I was completely ignored, and when a young woman came towards me, I thought to help, she instead bolted out the door, apparently on her break. Manager still standing behind the counter, now shuffling paper, the other one who had been helping the customer was now in the back. Not exactly in the mood to have to ask someone to do their job so dropped the shoes on a bench and left. I may, or may not, get around to ordering the shoes from the website. When one is in the business of selling a product that is not self-service it might make sense to have people at the shop who would make the effort to do their job and provide the service. It's not like I am being unreasonable in that request, like the people who also wrote reviews complaining about the store not staying open past business hours for them or that they wore brand new shoes for hours then decided that they didn't like how they fit and tried to take them back. To the credit of the other Aldo stores (especially the Beverly Hills store) they were great for customer service. read more

When I went to return the purse, the customer service person was very unhappy and started asking why I want to return it and stuff. And then she told me that I will have to go to the same place I bought the purse etc. She made me feel as if I am doing something wrong by returning the merchandise and I did not like this experience. read more
