From the time I dropped off the lock, Efrain seemed like he was having a bad day. When I came back to pick it up, I waited patiently, and around 4:55 PM he told me, "This lock is very difficult to work on because you didn't even bring me a key." Of course I didn't bring a key -- the whole reason I came to a locksmith was because I needed a key made for the lock. He then told me, in a very unfriendly manner, that I could either take the lock with me or come back tomorrow. His attitude was similar to the way he treated me when I first arrived around 3:00 PM. Efrain, if you happen to read this review, I don't believe a customer should be treated with rudeness or a bad attitude. We all have difficult days, but when we are running or representing a business, personal problems should be left aside and customers should still be treated with courtesy and good customer service. I came to your business simply looking for a professional locksmith service and was willing to wait for the work to be done. Good luck, my friend. Great service and pretty decent prices too!…read more He was able to re-key the cylinders for the ignition of my '74 Plymouth Duster this way my new ignition cylinder worked with m door keys and I didn't have to fumble around trying to figure out which key was which. One time I had them re-key the locks to my mom's front door. They did a good job with the cylinder, but it seemed that I had some bad keys. When I had issues with some of the keys not working with the locks, I took them back. The kid in the booth was very professional into getting to the bottom of why some of my old keys worked with the re-keyed locks and some didn't. After him tearing the cylinders down and realizing the problem was with the old keys, he made me 5 new keys for free. He explained that the problem was that the keys I had were not made or copied correctly. He took the time to explain that when keys are copied, they need to be set correctly in the machine otherwise the plunge of the key would not hit the backstop on the key (when inserted into the cylinder) and the pins would not line up right allowing for the cylinder to unlock freely. That's awesome service!! Not only did he investigate the problem, but he also explained it too. I should have got the kid's name, but he was a younger guy. Probably in his late teens or early 20's. He knows his locks! Re-keying the Kwikset locks cost about 15 bucks each. I guess that's pretty reasonable.

I called this morning to get a quote for a car fob replacement (referred by amazing father-son team of mobile auto mechanic services but I don't feel this necessarily reflects anything badly on them in kind) and he first answers as "who's this?" but confirms it is Elvis Locksmith after I queried to make sure I had the right phone number. When I asked if he received the text messages, he just said no but didn't ask further how he could help or be of service and even started sounding suspicious somehow as he then goes and says maybe I have the wrong number? But I still press further and let him know I was a prospective customer who was interested in a quote for his fob replacement services and admittedly from a bit of my own irritation, then said it sounds like he doesn't need any new customers to which he then hung up on me without any further response or closing remarks. I'm assuming he's not doing well unfortunately as most of us aren't in this day and age but... guess he doesn't really need new clients and maybe his business is steadily doing well? He couldn't find a simple pry tool and was searching around like a filthy teenager shuffling through their bedroom. This place is disgusting and ran by amateurs. Everything he said was wrong about the process of duplicating and programing. Proof is that he broke the oem key fob I brought in because he's too stupid to know that you can't use a metal flat head screw driver to open plastic parts. The rest of us have the sense to use a plastic pry tool as to avoid breaking key fobs. Try at your own risk and downfall.
