Very disappointing experience I had previously been to this stylist before and never had any issues, which is why this experience was particularly disappointing. After about 2 hours, I was suddenly told the service would take another hour, making the total time over 3 hours. That was never communicated when I booked the appointment. For context, the service was simply a single dark color hair dye on shoulder-length hair, with no complicated technique, so I planned my time based on the estimate I was given. Because my baby was crying at home, I had to leave early. As a result, the service was not completed -- I didn't receive the full treatment, there was no styling, and my hair was only briefly air-dried. Despite this, I was still asked to pay the full price. When I questioned it, the stylist made a very unpleasant comment, saying she "had a feeling it would be like this with me." The issue wasn't the time itself -- it was the miscommunication about the service duration and the way the situation was handled afterward. Respectful communication and clear expectations are important when booking an appointment. Unfortunately, this was a very unfair and unpleasant salon experience, and I wouldn't recommend booking here if timing and professionalism matter to you. read more

The process of the balayage highlights was smooth and easy. Due to it being my first time dying/styling my hair. Since my hair was virgen, Alejandra was able to use color for my balayage and not bleach, which i was a big fan of! Buyer beware, "& up" pricing can cost you more than expected. I had just moved to redondo beach in March due to the pandemic. I saw good reviews on google so I made an appointment for a cut and color. There were prices posted that said cut $70 (& up) and highlights $125(& up). I have fairly thick curly hair but shoulder length, so I was expecting max $300 so when we finished I was shocked she charged me $600. It was the most overpriced highlights (bad color I might add) and cut of my life. I went back for her to fix the highlights later that week because they were so awful for my skin tone which I have never had to do at a salon before. Alejandra's salon is my new go to! I have been looking for the perfect stylist since I moved here 2 years ago and I'm happy to report I've found my healthy hair home! One of my own clients came in with gorgeous color and a perfect cut and recommended her to me. The salon itself is absolutely instagrammable, the prices are competitive and the professionalism and cleanliness are off the charts. She books her appointments directly with the client, confirms the day prior and ensures to leave enough time between bookings to fully sanitize everything before you are scheduled to arrive. She keeps a mask on and requires the client does the same and during shampoo she wears a face shied since you'll be in closer contact. I felt as if she took every possible precaution to stay safe during the entire interaction. As far as the cut and color process it was outstanding. She made sure to ask me in advance for inspirational pictures as well as what my hair looked like at that moment so she could already start planning. She took the time to really listen to what I was concerned about and what my desired outcome was. At no point did I feel like she was brushing me off or rushing the consultation.
