Summary: was a decent experience. We went for an earlyish dinner on a Friday. The service was nice, but the drinks took an oddly long amount of time to arrive after we ordered.The food was good, but nothing too wildly impressive. The fish was cooked well and the fries were a bit too thick for my personal taste. They were also supposed to have seafood specials on Fridays according to their website, but it turned out that it was not offered for whatever reason. First of all I would love to thank to our server, named Tayyibah. She was really nice, kind and helpful . We came in to the place but there was no one. They said the host is on the other door. But there was no host at the other door too. Thanks God , Tayyibeh give us a table, found the host... Anyway. Came here for Trivia Night last night. I think that's every Tuesday at 7:30 pm. That was fun, even being close to last place the entire two hours. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The Ale House is really nice. It was packed at least in part due to Trivia Night but we just had a feeling that it's a popular place to be. TVs everywhere with sports (and trivia) all around you. Not sure if there were any bad seats.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The waitstaff was wonderful. Our food and drinks all came out quickly as we ordered with refills constantly coming our way. I think our only gripe is the food. Keeping in mind that we only had two things, both the Spinach Artichoke Dip app and the Mac n Cheese dinner were just not that tasty. Not bad but not that good. Before I describe the food I MUST compliment both our waiter, Zach, and the awesome manager James Harper. I am sensitive to gluten and must be very careful what I eat. BOTH of these folks were very knowledgeable, concerned for my well-being and helpful! James, the Manager, personally came over to our table and discussed food content and preparation for us and made a couple of menu suggestions. He told me that the Chef is developing a Gluten Free MENU, but it is not ready yet. He confided that the Chef did have a Gluten Free roll that is available for my lunch yesterday. I took advantage of this! BTW, he also mentioned in passing that their food is freshly prepared and does not come from some central facility. The way he spoke of his Chef impressed me both for his sincere respect for the Chef AND his appreciation of the Chef's creativity. I had the feeling that the restaurant is reinventing itself! My wife ordered one of the salads modified to her liking. She says it was "OK," but overpriced. She noted that for croutons the Ale House used cut up soft pretzel that had been baked to hard. I had the Salmon BLT with the special mayo on the side (see photo) on the Gluten Free bun that is not on the menu yet. Both the salmon and bacon were excellent. Instead of lettuce, per se, the chef puts a bit of mixed greens in the sandwich. An interesting creation! The herb mayo was delicious, but as you can see in the photo, I used it very sparingly. My only disappointment was the one very thin slice of tomato. Zach, our wonderful waiter, warned me that the fries were not suitable for someone gluten sensitive since they are fried in the same oil as wheat products. He substituted oven roasted potatoes for me. They were a bit cold and soggy, but delicious. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Several reviewers have complained about the sound level. We were there lunchtime on a Saturday. Part of the restaurant is a SPORTS bar type establishment with numerous large screens broadcasting every sport known to mankind. Had a great time at the Al House in Columbia , our server Brett was great. He was kind , patient, and attentive. He did get one of our orders wrong at first but he quickly fixed it and brought out the correct order right away. We were able to sit out on the patio which made our experience wonderful. Their patio is nice. Comfortable seating, nice bar area with huge tv screens . I love the yellow umbrella, it gives a signature appeal. The food was tasty, everyone enjoyed their meal, we laughed all night . It was truly a great time. I order the Thai Chili Shrimp as my meal. Went here Saturday morning for brunch with my Sister. The atmosphere was nice. When we got there it had not gotten crowded. the restaurant was clean customer service was excellent. our waiter was a young man who was in training gave us excellent customer service he check in with us several times. I came here the other night for an event and the whole evening was overshadowed by a rude aggressive manager with a Napoleon complex. After eating my house salad and some of my main course, I started not feeling well and realized I should try to find a bathroom as soon as possible. I was informed it was closed.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I stood there in shock wondering what I was supposed to do because I was not feeling well. A guy, who I later found out was one of the managers came and said that he could take me to their employee bathroom although it wasn't what he was supposed to do. I was gracious and quickly started to follow him as another joined us. I asked what were they going to do and how could they stay open and he informed me they actually had to close because they could not. When it was my turn to use the bathroom, I tried to wait it out because I felt like my stomach was uneasy. Soon after there was incessive banging on the door and loud shouting telling me to get out and being threatened that they were going to come in. I heard a female's voice who I later found out, was someone within my party telling the manager you're not going to go in there. The banging continued and I quickly started washing my hands and yelled such hoping all the commotion outside of the door would end. I exited the bathroom and saw two ladies who were with my group standing there waiting for me. I couldn't believe how rude the manager was being but knew I still was not feeling great so quickly went back to my seat. If I had been feeling better I would have advocated for myself but I was happy to know they were there stopping him from breaking in the bathroom while I was in there. How ridiculous! [[HIGHLIGHT]]After being forced out of the bathroom I went to sit down at the table and realized that I still was not feeling good.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I quickly got up and looked for a trash can at the bar and motioned to the bartender who then quickly threw me one. For my meal, I got the crispy chicken sandwich with fries. I didn't care much for it. The chicken was dry. My friend got the salmon which he loved. The menu had good variety and, while we didn't take advantage of it this time around, the bottomless mimosa, Bellini, and Bloody Mary bar looked AWESOME. I opt in for the build my own flight-base beers, picking my go-to favorites, while hubby builds his own guest beers & we split. The price is reasonable, as they are specialty beers at standard pour sizes, $ off at happy hour-and every now and then one beer may be a special pour price. The food is excellent-very upscale dining, at higher but not unreasonable prices- we've gone through most of the menu over our visits & I've never had a dish I've woefully regretted based on flavor or price (quality for quantity)- my absolute favorite is anything burger related- while this is the one place my husband will surprisingly opt for a big hearty topped salad. Looking for a place to stop for a work lunch, and I remembered that I had not been to Ale House in a while. Upon entering, we were greeted with a warm smile. The restaurant had just recently opened so there was not a crowd yet. We took a seat at one of the bars' high tops. Bartender came over and took our food and beverage order. The food was delivered fairly quickly. I ordered the turkey burger with french fries. The burger was well seasoned. The pickled onions or onion marmalade was a nice touch. This venue is our son's favorite place to get a burger! This venue started his love of have a fried egg on a cheese burger. Sometimes the egg burger is not on the menu, but the server told us that you can ask for an egg to be added to any burger at any burger at anytime. We are here with a friend who's visiting town and we just had the worst experience, [[HIGHLIGHT]]there's a mouse running around the salon and the manager is acting like this is normal[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]], I asked to talk to him and he said that's ok, that I shouldn't be worried, that every house has mice and this is nothing. They're close to our home, the renovations look great, they have fun beers on tap...but after our third visit here I still have nothing good to say about the food. We did their brunch and the food was disappointing, though we love the Bloody Mary bar and the option to make your own mimosas. We went for lunch another time and again were disappointed. Last Friday however was probably our last visit. We went for dinner and sat at the bar. I got a burger and fries. Burger was a little over cooked and there wasn't much flavor. Fries were good. R got their steak sandwich and the steak was just plain inedible. He literally had to rip it apart after each bite and then just gave up. It should not have been served. I won't really comment too much on the service, because the server seemed in the newer side. So it won't be included in my review. The ambiance of the restaurant is SO cute. Especially the outdoor dining, it felt like I was on vacation. There were a lot of bugs, but that's the thing about outdoor seating. Overall the decor was so nice. Now for the food. Oh my goodness. From the French Toast Bites, to the Apple Cider Donut Crush (which is a seasonal drink!!!) All was so good. I can't exactly remember how much I spent, but it was all very affordable. A couple weeks ago, we dropped in for a late lunch and were pleasantly surprised. When we got to the parking lot, we saw a small-ish looking place that looked like it belongs on a pier somewhere. Korean tacos were really good, fish and chips were fantastic, beer selections were good. Our waitress was friendly, didn't complain about some modification requests, and checked on us enough without hovering. The place was much bigger inside than it appeared from the outside, and the layout leaves space between the tables, so you are not cramped together with people bu.ping the backs of your seats. I've been here a few times before so thought I would add a review of my latest visit. The ambience is much like a typical sports bar restaurant without sports memorabilia on the walls. Decent overall environment. Came with my kiddos and parter today so we gave the waitress her test of the day lol. She was friendly and helpful. We started off with nachos and asked for the chicken on the side. I also had an Irish coffee... which was good with rich and thick whipped cream on top. The nachos were good, not amazing. I like to at they are separate chips so you get a good ratio of toppings vs the versions that are all piled together. For an entree I went with their steak cheeseburger with a side of broccoli. The burger was done properly and was juicy. The broccoli was decent, a little overcooked and a tad too much butter. All in all, decent. Then we all shared their chocolate brownie Sunday which was fantastic. The brownie was warm and had a slight crisp on the outside of it. Overall a good spot for a chill dinner. read more

The food was some of the best pub fare I've ever had. The spicy honey old bay fried chicken sandwich was the best chicken sandwich I've ever had. The Mac and cheese was also perfect. I dined with my family last Thursday and as expected the experience was great! Autumn our server was so delightful and very attentive to our 3 kids we had at the table. We were in the outside area which had nice lights and speakers playing music. Our server was very friendly and provided great service! I started off the night getting the pickle fries. They were delicious, crunchy and the aioli was the perfect dipping sauce for them. For my meal, I ordered the Korean Fried Chicken Sandwich, and it was AMAZING!! It was so good I couldn't stop talking about it with people at my own table. The veggies, the chicken in gochujang sauce and the pretzel bun just made an incredible flavor combination.
