First of all I would love to thank to our server, named Tayyibah. She was really nice, kind and helpful . We came in to the place but there was no one. They said the host is on the other door. But there was no host at the other door too. Thanks God , Tayyibeh give us a table, found the host... Anyway. We tried burger with the coleslaw salad, Burgers was ok, but coleslaw was very bad and we didn't eat. Tayyibah take it out from the bill. We really appreciated her effort and her attitude with smiling face. Pretty big place, bright, There is a little place at the out also, I like the detail for the dogs. They put water tank and water bowl. We will come back!

Great service and good food! We enjoy coming to Alehouse and the service has gotten better over the years. We recently went for dinner and we all enjoyed different hamburgers. I enjoyed the smash burger and my daughter loved the tavern burger. Hubby got the egg burger and we all enjoyed the fries and drinks as well.

Alehouse burger with fries and a side of ranch $18

Had a nice, semi-quiet experience here one Sunday afternoon. The food was exactly what I was craving--meaty fried cheese balls that still had a crunch, a juicy burger with lots of caramelized onions and blue cheese, crispy fries. I tried a prickly pear sangria and a sour beer, which were both good. Not too strong but had enough of a punch for me. The service was good u tip the very end...I had to wait about 10-15 min for someone to pick up the check. I kept going to the front desk to see if I had to pay on the way out cos I was confused, but the person at the front desk seemed new and confused, too. My server finally came back and apologized for the delay, but I was annoyed at that point. There were a couple of loud, drunk guys at the bar barking at the football game on TV but that's to be expected on a Sunday afternoon at a sports bar. No one was rude, just loud.

Came here on a Thurs night to watch some football...this place has potential, you can tell its poorly managed. Food is actually not bad. Staff is attentive and friendly. Tostadas were good. Tacos were plentiful but no flavor Flatbread was good. Every beer I asked for was out. Mind you its NFL Thurs night and place was not poppin' ..shouldnt beers be on tap? No real drink specials, its shame no wonder place is dead, t Messy tables that havent been picked up I mean its a nice place with outdoor seating. Cmon no music, No live Entertainment...

Packed house for Trivia Night (except at the bar at that specific moment)

Came here for Trivia Night last night. I think that's every Tuesday at 7:30 pm. That was fun, even being close to last place the entire two hours. The Ale House is really nice. It was packed at least in part due to Trivia Night but we just had a feeling that it's a popular place to be. TVs everywhere with sports (and trivia) all around you. Not sure if there were any bad seats. The waitstaff was wonderful. Our food and drinks all came out quickly as we ordered with refills constantly coming our way. I think our only gripe is the food. Keeping in mind that we only had two things, both the Spinach Artichoke Dip app and the Mac n Cheese dinner were just not that tasty. Not bad but not that good. We'll definitely be back as we just liked the atmosphere. And we'll try other menu items and hope/assume they're better.

Great brunch! This restaurant has a nice menu which includes fried green tomatoes which is a fav or mine. However, when we ordered this item it never arrived. The Ale house omelet, blackberry cider and smith island cake were all delicious. The restaurant was clean, spacious and has a nice bar area to watch the game. I look forward to going back to try lunch or dinner.

Salmon BLT on a Gluten Free Bun with a bit of Herb Mayo.
    Arthur Y.

Before I describe the food I MUST compliment both our waiter, Zach, and the awesome manager James Harper. I am sensitive to gluten and must be very careful what I eat. BOTH of these folks were very knowledgeable, concerned for my well-being and helpful! James, the Manager, personally came over to our table and discussed food content and preparation for us and made a couple of menu suggestions. He told me that the Chef is developing a Gluten Free MENU, but it is not ready yet. He confided that the Chef did have a Gluten Free roll that is available for my lunch yesterday. I took advantage of this! BTW, he also mentioned in passing that their food is freshly prepared and does not come from some central facility. The way he spoke of his Chef impressed me both for his sincere respect for the Chef AND his appreciation of the Chef's creativity. I had the feeling that the restaurant is reinventing itself! My wife ordered one of the salads modified to her liking. She says it was "OK," but overpriced. She noted that for croutons the Ale House used cut up soft pretzel that had been baked to hard. I had the Salmon BLT with the special mayo on the side (see photo) on the Gluten Free bun that is not on the menu yet. Both the salmon and bacon were excellent. Instead of lettuce, per se, the chef puts a bit of mixed greens in the sandwich. An interesting creation! The herb mayo was delicious, but as you can see in the photo, I used it very sparingly. My only disappointment was the one very thin slice of tomato. Zach, our wonderful waiter, warned me that the fries were not suitable for someone gluten sensitive since they are fried in the same oil as wheat products. He substituted oven roasted potatoes for me. They were a bit cold and soggy, but delicious. Several reviewers have complained about the sound level. We were there lunchtime on a Saturday. Part of the restaurant is a SPORTS bar type establishment with numerous large screens broadcasting every sport known to mankind. I did NOT find them or the sound to be troublesome. I will return to this restaurant that we found by accident.

It is a nice location to have some beer. I would say the prices are very reasonable for happy hour but they do not allow this anymore in the patio area. (Bummer) However if you do go on Mondays it is about ~$5-6 for a beer with the $2 off deal which is alright. I would rate the food as decent but not spectacular. If you are in the neighborhood I would say it's a spot to check out for their bourbon selection. They have some very rare whiskey (pappy van winkle) from the sazerac/buffalo trace distillery which is usually hard to find at your local liquor store.

Had a great time at the Al House in Columbia , our server Brett was great. He was kind , patient, and attentive. He did get one of our orders wrong at first but he quickly fixed it and brought out the correct order right away. We were able to sit out on the patio which made our experience wonderful. Their patio is nice. Comfortable seating, nice bar area with huge tv screens . I love the yellow umbrella, it gives a signature appeal. The food was tasty, everyone enjoyed their meal, we laughed all night . It was truly a great time. I order the Thai Chili Shrimp as my meal. It comes fried but I asked for it grilled and they were able to accommodate me which was a plus. We will definitely keep this spot in our rotation.

Went here Saturday morning for brunch with my Sister. The atmosphere was nice. When we got there it had not gotten crowded. the restaurant was clean customer service was excellent. our waiter was a young man who was in training gave us excellent customer service he check in with us several times. I forgot his name but his trainer was Chelsea. The food was amazing I had the Banana Praline French Toast with a side of Sausage my sister had the Shrimp and Grits. everything was delicious. I do not have one complaint. if you are looking for a nice Brunch Spot on a Saturday or Sunday from 10-3 try them out the menu prices are very reasonable. Make a reservation I did the day before.

I came here the other night for an event and the whole evening was overshadowed by a rude aggressive manager with a Napoleon complex. After eating my house salad and some of my main course, I started not feeling well and realized I should try to find a bathroom as soon as possible. I went to the restroom I had washed my hands at earlier and noticed it was taped off. I was informed it was closed. I stood there in shock wondering what I was supposed to do because I was not feeling well. A guy, who I later found out was one of the managers came and said that he could take me to their employee bathroom although it wasn't what he was supposed to do. I was gracious and quickly started to follow him as another joined us. I asked what were they going to do and how could they stay open and he informed me they actually had to close because they could not. When it was my turn to use the bathroom, I tried to wait it out because I felt like my stomach was uneasy. Soon after there was incessive banging on the door and loud shouting telling me to get out and being threatened that they were going to come in. I heard a female's voice who I later found out, was someone within my party telling the manager you're not going to go in there. The banging continued and I quickly started washing my hands and yelled such hoping all the commotion outside of the door would end. I exited the bathroom and saw two ladies who were with my group standing there waiting for me. I couldn't believe how rude the manager was being but knew I still was not feeling great so quickly went back to my seat. If I had been feeling better I would have advocated for myself but I was happy to know they were there stopping him from breaking in the bathroom while I was in there. How ridiculous! After being forced out of the bathroom I went to sit down at the table and realized that I still was not feeling good. I quickly got up and looked for a trash can at the bar and motioned to the bartender who then quickly threw me one. I didn't want to ruin anyone else's night just because I was feeling bad but being forced out of the bathroom and having to throw up in a trash can was highly insensitive and demeaning. I was so embarrassed to see staff come around and clean the floor up as well. Wow just wow!

I got the turkey burger and the fries. I was a bit underwhelmed. The turkey burger was super under seasoned as well as the fries. The service was pretty great and attentive as well as the location and atmosphere, but i just wasn't super happy with the food.

I was off work. It was a Sunday. There was only one logical thing to do.... HEAD TO BRUNCH. I texted my friend Lavender and she recommended Ale House. When you come in, it gives family friendly, chill vibes. I was greeted immediately by the hosts (very welcoming). We decided to sit at the bar and watch football. The bartender was great... attentive but not too over baring. They have unlimited Mimosas for only $20!! So that's rust we got lol. For food I tried the Fried Green Tomatoes and the BABEC and my friend got the BLT. Both meals were pretty big portions and taste delicious. We ended up chatting with other bar guests and doing shots before calling it a day. If you're looking for a place that's not too crazy but a good time, I definitely recommend coming here

The menu offers a nice balance between curated bowls and build-your-own options, and everything on display looked vibrant and genuinely fresh. Even the subtle aroma of garlic in the air set the tone in the best way. I don't usually go for chicken (I cook enough of it at home), but being from Hawaii, there was no way I was passing up on their limited-time Huli Huli chicken. For those unfamiliar, traditional Huli Huli chicken is typically bone-in, skin-on, soaked in a brine, marinated with a blend of soy sauce, ginger, brown sugar, garlic, and pineapple juice maybe rice vinegar or ketchup, it's all left to the cook. Basted several times as the meat is flipped until fully cooked. Back home, you don't just eat it--you experience it. You smell it long before you see it--grilling on those iconic half oil drum kettles along the roadside, often set up for fundraisers or local gatherings. The sight of chicken quarters being flipped ("huli" means "turn") and basted over open flames is pure island nostalgia. So yes, expectations were high. I was offered a sample, and it delivered. The flavor balance was spot on--savory, slightly sweet, and deeply satisfying. The chicken itself was moist and tender. The only thing missing was that classic crispy, charred skin and the full leg quarter presentation you'd find back home--but even so, it didn't disappoint and left me wanting more. My bowl came together beautifully with coconut sweet potato sauce, fresh spinach, garlicky cilantro green beans, and basmati rice. It was flavorful, well-balanced, and delicious. Service was another highlight--the staff was friendly, patient and helpful with recommendations. The space itself is not large to eat in but it was clean, bright with ocean-toned blues that nod to its island inspiration. I'll definitely be back--especially while that Huli Huli chicken is still on the menu.

The duck fries as an appetizer were good but needed to be seasoned with a little more salt. I had a strawberry salad with some grilled chicken that was good with the greens, but dry as the desert with the chicken and borderline inedible. Here's the twist!!! The Fluffernutter Blondie is a good dessert choice if you love blondies and peanut butter. Although, it was a bit drier than I'd like, the texture was still soft.

But today we realized that Iron Bridge is considered a bar, not a restaurant, and therefore this place in Columbia/Howard County, MD doesn't require/ need to have high chairs for families with toddlers whom need them, and in our experience, it's not a family/ children friendly bar. ? I always thought it was a nice restaurant, until today ! What I consider a shocking experience. Because we live nearby and have celebrated birthdays, anniversaries, etc., there, but until today I've never taken our grandkid there! Wow, a terrible experience! However our waitress was really nice ..

They were definitely very busy but our server was still attentive and friendly. My friend ordered a flight of wine and I ordered a glass of the Poggio Le Volpe, 'Roma Rosso'. The wine, as always was delicious. My friend ordered the IBWC Fall Burger and I ordered the Grilled Bistro Steak Frites. The Steak was perfectly cooked and absolutely delicious. We had also ordered side Caesar salads. It was restaurant week and neither of us opted into the the 3 courses for a price option but our server did kindly inform us that she grouped it that way to help us save and include the dessert. We ended up getting the Nutella dessert (I don't recall what it was called). While the presentation wasn't great, it was very good and I would recommend it. Wish I liced closer so I could come here more often but it is one of my favorites in the area.

Great addition to the restaurant park in Columbia…read more We finally had a rare date night and decided to try this new spot. It was not crowded at 5pm so we were served very quickly. We enjoyed hot wings and bao buns as our appetizer and shared a black and blue burger for our meal. My dark and stormy was a great pick as well. Helpful attentive staff.

Brunch at Elliott's Craft Kitchen: A Promising Start With a Few Missed Beats…read more.. I recently visited Elliott's Craft Kitchen a fairly new spot that my group of four decided to try out for brunch. We were hoping for a fresh experience, but our visit turned out to be a mixed bag. Ambiance and First Impressions... When we arrived, the restaurant was surprisingly empty, which was a bit of a head-scratcher for brunch time. Even though we could hear staff chatting in the back, it took a good five to eight minutes before anyone came out to seat us. Once we were seated, we noticed the lighting was so dim that we actually had to whip out our phones just to read the menu. Not exactly the cozy brunch vibe we were hoping for. The Food: Hits and Misses... On to the food. We started with the cream of crab soup, which was just okay--nothing to write home about. The Brussels sprouts were a bit of a letdown. They were tiny and mostly just fried leaves rather than the hearty sprouts we expected. So if you're imagining those classic roasted Brussels sprouts, this wasn't it. The chicken and waffles were decent in flavor, although the presentation could have used some polish. The pita bread for the crab dip could have been toasted or something more firm and doesn't taste like it was immediately pulled from a bag. Surprisingly, the star of the meal ended up being something as simple as the French fries. They were really tasty and stood out more than some of the fancier dishes. Service and the Final Stretch... Our server was kind and polite, which we appreciated. But the big hiccup came at the end. Their payment system went down, and we ended up waiting over 30 minutes just to settle the bill. After sitting for about 15 minutes we informed our server that we would like to wait in the lounge area to get more comfortable as I understand.... things happen. Although while we waited for about 20 minutes there were no offers of water or anything to make the wait less awkward (not to mention asking for payment without even presenting a bill). It felt like they were more focused on turning the table than making sure we were okay during the delay. Although maybe it was an awkward start to the morning. I will say our server did her best to work things out with the technology she was given. So, I still provided her a fair tip, not her fault. Value for Money... In terms of pricing, it felt pretty average overall, but there were a few eyebrow-raisers. For instance, the avocado toasted croissant--topped with over-easy eggs, baby spinach, and Grana Padano--was $19, which felt a bit steep for what it was. In comparison, a pork schnitzel dish was around $21. So, while the pricing wasn't outrageous, some items definitely made me pause and question the value. Overall Thoughts... In the end, my experience at Elliott's Craft Kitchen was a bit of a letdown. So I'm surprised by some of the reviews (maybe because it was not dinner). While there were a few highlights (like the fries and a well-made Old Fashioned), the service hiccups and the underwhelming dishes mean I'd probably think twice before going back. Definitely not for brunch but I would really consider Dinner after some more reviews. Hopefully they'll iron out the kinks as they get more established.

I attribute the faster service as the bar is right by the kitchen. Given that in the past service was slow, my hubby placed our order while I shopped at Target in the same shopping center. I shopped for approximately ten minutes and when I got to BJ's, our order came out a minute after I sat down. We ordered and shared our dinner. We got the spinach and artichoke dip for an app. For our entree we got the prime rib, which is only available on weekends. For our two sides, we selected the mashed potatoes and rice pilaf, and the triple chocolate for the pizookie. Our server misheard and gave us the chocolate chunk, but decided just to keep it. We enjoyed everything! No complaints, just happy and full bellies. We used a $100 gift card we received for the holidays and have $50 remaining to use at a future visit. I was delighted with the food and service from start to finish. Yay!!

I went there today thinking to have lunch but ended up sending it back and leaving. I swear to god that it was inedible. I had their version of a french dip and it was like eating beef jerky with a side of dipping sauce. I have never sent back anything that I have ordered before but this was beyond the pale. I had one bite and it was literally hard to swallow. If you want beer then go there but if you also want food find somewhere else.
