Shrimp and bacon sandwich with Caesar salad
    Anna F.

We sat at the bar high top this time to watch the football game. When we got there the bar was empty but people packed in slowly and all of a sudden the bar was full! Sam was the bartender and server and she was wonderful. I couldn't decide on the beer and she recommended me some seasonal beers and had me try them. I finally decided on the apple cider beer which wasn't terribly sweet. This time I ordered the shrimp and bacon sandwich with onion rings, which was fantastic. I really love the onion rings at Oscars. It's crispy and doesn't have a lot of batter and the onion is crisp enough to bite into. The ambiance is nice and there are alot of locals that hang out which is nice to see.

Definitely get the Jambalaya, I got it with pasta and it was really good. Also, I really had a good time here with their generous service, really good manners, the kind you'd expect at an American restaurant. Very nice and spacious restaurant. The soft pretzel I got was pretty good too. I'll be sure to come here again with my family.

Oscar's Alehouse First time visiting this jewel of a family style restaurant that is in their Woodstock location. Location: easy to find with lots of free parking close by. Atmosphere- large enclosed areas with a separate area that could easily accommodate private parties. Our group of 12 had a side space pretty much to ourselves on a weekday evening. They also have a covered open patio area with a partial view of the golf course near by. Service- one person was assigned to our group. She was very accommodating, handling separate checks and made sure the kitchen staff was made aware when two in our group had to have special diets prepared and gluten free. She was awesome. Food- was delicious, didn't see much left over on people's plates. The burgers looked juicy and well stacked with fixings and house special sauces. French fries or onion rings were gobbled up. Salads looked freshly made with local ingredients. Prices- reasonably priced and easy to read. Pretty wide selection of daily and weekly specials. Nice selection of mixed drinks or beverages to choose from. Could easily see that this could become a favorite place to grab a meal and become a loyal neighborhood customer.

Love that this spot opened here as this area needs more breweries and brew pubs. They have a great rotating beer selection! They have wing specials on Wednesdays and it was a great place for a lunch break. The service was spectacular as our waiter was very patient and fast.

First time here and worth the stop. Went in between lunch and dinner so it wasn't crowded. Friendly service, good food, and good prices! The beer menu was 2 pages - lots of choices! There were many options on the menu also. Beer Flights come in two styles Hoppy or House selection. You can't pick which individual beers you want. But regular beer prices come in 3 sizes and price range so that is nice. Forgot to take photos of our entrees as we were hungry. I had Blackened chicken with bacon and avocado and my spouse had the daily burger special - both were good! Best part is the fries are like boardwalk fries and not with a coating. We don't like the coated fries, so Oscar's does right in our opinion. Didn't have room for dessert.

I gotta say Oscars Ale house does not disappoint when it comes to bread pudding! My wife and shared this dessert and wow was it good. It just the right amount of sweet, soft, and creamy. Everything you want in a bread pudding. The scope of vanilla is the perfect amount for two.

Oscar Cobb Salad and Roast Beef sandwich. Both great!

Well hello Yelpers! Time for my WIFE and I to try a new spot! Out for our 1 week anniversary dinner(also known as Friday night). Quick trip up to Oscars Alehouse in Woodstock. Seated quickly even though pretty busy. My better half ordered an Oscars lemonade off the devils elixir menu. She said it was quite scrumptious and went back for more! Appetizers were Cuban egg rolls and the crab dip. My egg rolls were superb. Very tasty and will order often. Really like the mustard dip. Not too spicy since I've gotten soft in my old age. M'lady thoroughly enjoyed the crab dip. The bread with it is toasted on the grill and had a great flavor! Give both a try. Entrees were a lovely, fresh and tasty Oscar's Cobb Salad with blue cheese vinaigrette. Fresh ingredients and quite tasty chicken. Charbroiled flavor that added to the salad nicely. Wifey chowed down on the roast beef sandwich and onion rings. She was very pleased with both. Bread toasted on the grill also which she said adds a great flavor to the beef. She would have enjoyed just dipping the bread in the au jus but wasn't about to let the roast beef feel left out! Jill our server was great! Checked on us just the right amount and was friendly and helpful as ever. One of our best servers in awhile. Outstanding job ma'am! All in all great place for a meal! Check them out!

I am a personal fan of fried hashbrowns. Where has a little bit more crunch to them but these were OK. The eggs were cooked perfectly and paired well with the meats and avocado. Overall, I would say that it's a pretty heavy and hearty meal mostly because of the potatoes but flavor wise was good. 3.5/5 I got the pretzel and you can't go wrong with the pretzel fluffy and good and the dipping sauces also paired with it well. Not the best Bavarian pretzel I've had but still pretty good. 3.5/5 Overall, this place was cute and had good ambience and good service with a knowledgeable staff and the food was good enough that I want to come back to try more things!

There were 5 of us, we had the cheese curds (always delicious), tried the crab nachos (surprisingly good) as apps. Ordered the crab soup. The burger was a little overdone for my liking, but it still had an amazing flavor. The fries were decent and paired well with the burger. Oddly enough, it was pretty quiet, but they do have the games on for anyone looking for a low-key spot to watch. We were seated within 5 minutes, which I appreciated. Our server, Patrick, was... okay. Not terrible, but definitely felt new to serving. We didn't get the rundown of the daily specials (yet overheard them being given to the booth behind us), and a few small service details slipped through--but I'm giving him grace based on his newness. One thing I noticed from Yelp reviews is that bread is usually served automatically. We had to request it, especially after seeing tables seated after us get theirs first. Not a dealbreaker, but noticeable. We ordered several appetizers, and honestly, they were filling enough to be a full meal: * Ribs - Flavorful, tender, and genuinely falling off the bone. The portion sizes were a bit inconsistent--some pieces were cut shorter than others--but the texture was on point. I'd definitely return for these. * Brussels Sprouts - Patrick didn't mention they were shareable, which would've been helpful. I did like the flavor, but in hindsight I'm glad we pivoted to... * Crab Dip - This one missed for me. The flavor leaned more tuna-ish than crab-forward. Not my preference, but you may feel differently. * Shrimp in Spicy Butter - Definitely spicy, but somehow still flavorless. More like spicy water than a seasoned butter sauce. The one bonus? They were served piping hot--exactly how I like my food. * French Fries - Hand-cut and tasty. A solid win. Unfortunately, everything except the shrimp came out lukewarm, which took away from dishes that could've been great. Temperature matters! On the drink side, though? Hits all around. The fresh-pressed beet juice was fantastic, and the sweet tea was also on point. We skipped dessert only because we were full, but I'm already planning to come back specifically to try it--along with the ribs and fries again. Overall, I'm hoping this was just an off day. Elliott's Kitchen has potential, and I'd like to see it shine on the next visit

Made a reservation not like you really need one, but we made one and was seated down pretty quickly. The host was nice and friendly and the wait staff said hello to us within the five minutes of us seating. I appreciated how family-friendly this place was, they give these cute little animal boxes with different things inside and crayons to keep the kids entertained. The decoration is fun with a lot of outdoor vibes and stuffed real animals. They bring out a side of chip and a yogurt dill dip that's interesting, a fun idea. The food, mhm so we ordered a lot! Crab dip: 2.5/5 not too bad but not memorable, okay amount of crab, flavors were too heavy on the cream cheese/fillers but just okay, they need more bread with it but the chips helped. Prob wouldn't order again Crab cake: 3.8/5 pretty good size and good amount of crab and good flavor probably the best dish that we had ordered here! Would get again. Burger: 3/5 granted I did order this medium well for my kid, but the burger was charred a little too much around the burger, giving it a sort of dry crunch on the edges and charcoal burn vibes. Not my favorite texture that I would want on a burger, but perhaps it would've been different if I ordered a medium? Bread itself was a little stale/crunchy which I did not prefer how it was cooked/prepared. Overall, it was just okay. Ribs: 2.5/5 the ribs were half off ribs so I decided to go for it because of the good deal. But it was just okay, being that Blackhog barbecue is right next-door (thier dry rub ribs are amazing), I would hope that they would step up their barbecue rib game. For a " full rack" there were only nine bones and seemed a little smaller than what I'm used to. It's very heavy on the sauce which I didn't think was the best pairing and wasn't the best flavor bbq sauce. Overall, I wouldn't order it again. Steak kabob: 3.2/5 this was actually pretty tender for the cut of meat, I'm surprised that I didn't have to work for it so I was happy about that! The only criticism that we have is that the meat itself did not have that much flavor or seasoning and there's only one skewer of meat and one skewer of veggies. Meaning the total amount of meat that was probably on that dish was no more than 4 -5 ounces of steak. And for that price point, I would want a little bit more meat. Mac and Cheese: 3.5/5 pretty good for a kids Mac! Good cheese and flavor was impressed! Overall, the service and the host in the experience of being there was pretty good, but the food was a little lacking not sure if I would go again, but it was on our right experience in terms of food
