It was easy to get to and limp in there with my cane and Handicapped Accessible. Joe was descent and his wife Charmaigne. He wasn't the best at returning calls or following up on urgent matters, but his wife would try to help out. The real work horse of the entire office was an outstanding, awesome lady name Ibet Rubio. Poor thing!! She always responded to my phone calls or emails and calls me Mr. Lozano. If she was to leave that office I would have followed her to where ever she would go. Allstate says "You are in good hands" well after 13 years of being loyal, excellent customers with 4 vehicles and homeowners insurance. We decided to terminate the relationship with Allstate. When Joe retired he had to move the office to Great Oaks Blvd. San Jose Ca. because some bank was taking over their building. The new office is a two-story building with stairs only. Not handicapped accessible, no elevator and has Abott and some heavy accent man "Sam" working there. Ibet Rubio still driving that office and continuing the support to help them stay opened. When I call their 408-281-0881 number. I would get a lot of Huh? Duh? responses from the male employees. Only one that knew who I was is Ibet. Go figure?? Customers service sucks. English grammar sucks. They got to check with Ibet for advice and she is not even the boss of the office. She should be and they would probably get a better review and responses. Don't go to Allstate. You have been warned. My wife was in a car accident on February 14 2023. Valentines day. Some dumb punk kid and his girlfriend side swiped the driver side of her Hyundai Sonata traveling south on 101 causing them damage to the car and shock and shoulder injury to her. Everything was caught on the dash cam she uses in her car. The young kid did not see her heading south to the 85 freeway on ramp when he merged over 4 lanes to catch the ramp before he passed. My wife pulled over the kid pulls over and immediately responded "It's my fault" "I did not see you" "Are you ok" The car was not registered in his name the insurance was not in his name. He worked for an Auto Body shop, and it belonged to the business. When we opened this claim with Allstate. The adjusters from Arizona had the audacity and stupidity, mentality to blame my wife for 15% liability because she did not respond by moving over or slowing down and let this dumb driver merge over 4 lanes to enter another freeway. Thalia Mustafa and Brooke Hawkins were the 2 BIMBOS that were writing the responses to our claim. They are in Arizona not California and if you see on the recording my wife did not have any more room to merge besides a ditch, cavity, excavation 10 feet deep where she probably would have died if she reacted in that manner that these Dumb Ass adjusters were suggesting. So overall of this review is that you ARE NOT IN GOOD HANDS WITH ALLSTATE. You are in bad luck and guilty before trial with these people. They could not open the video attachment from the dash cam. I had to put on You Tube and send it to them. We filed a complaint with State of California Department of Insurance and hired an attorney and the idiot adjuster Keith Storms responded right away. Allstate decided that they were going to let the other insurance pay for all the damages and claims we are filing with our attorney. That we are not going to have to accept 15% liability for this accident. Duhh! Yeah, why should we. She was driving home from work not on the radio not on the cell phone not texting. I had no say in that decision and was first fine with the change, but after having my first initial call with her husband Harold he gave used car salesman vibes. He was comparing insurance increases to $10 boxes of cereals and the price increases. When I mentioned, I wanted to change to liability only since my car was over 15 years old, he resisted and pushed back and tried to "sell me" on why I should keep it. The car is old and not worth much. He then said we could look at the mileage to see if that's up to date and can be reduced but then gaslighted me into saying "that they have ways of checking" I don't drive very much and during the time I had them as my provider I told him I was working from home so my mileage can be lowered since I barely drive. After 2 more calls with him and I still didn't get good customer service. I had asked to speak to his wife Alexandra, but he said she only sets appointments for clients that purchase other services like life insurance etc. He made it seem my account was "too small" While I had great experience with Nardy (who no longer works there) Harold was not great to work with. Since his wife owns the business, they seem reluctant to help customers unless it's an increase in billing or new services. There was a lot of push back from him to work with me to see what they could do. State farm agents get 10% of each customers monthly billing so it just seemed like he didn't have customer's best interest and his sales tactics were really off putting to me. I never had any issues with any other insurance agent except this one. When I changed agents, he left me a voicemail afterwards. No I don't want to have a call to discuss. So here's my feedback in my review. Please do better for your customers. Customers can sense when you're thinking only about the profits. It shows up in tone, interactions, and "strong negative sales vibes" I would've stayed with them if I didn't have multiple negative phone interactions with her husband Harold. Working with your state farm agent shouldn't be as stressful as my experience.
