They have a nice patio with tables under a cover and some under umbrellas. There is also seating inside. They are pet friendly on the patio. The staff was fantastic and had a water bowl for my pet. They were attentive throughout dinner. I ordered the tacos de birria and a horchata. They brought a bowl of chips and salsa. The chips were thicker and tasted great. The salsa was also really good! The tacos came out piping hot. They were good, I have had better at other places though. The horchata comes out in a margarita glass. I loved how big it was. Very refreshing for a hot day. The prices were very high for what they gave. Even the basket of chips was extremely small! There were about nine or 10 chips total in it and only the first basket of chips is free. Same thing with the salsa. Even the drink glasses were small. My knife nearly spanned the long edge of the plate (I took a picture for reference).. Maybe that's because it was lunch, but they were dinner prices. On top of that, having lived on the West Coast and experienced many many Mexican restaurants, I can say that the beans were tasteless and the rice tasted like there was a rotten ingredient in it. El Cheapo! I ordered Nachos. They were tasteless could they spare anymore?? A tiny bit of refried beans, tiny bit of lettuce, tiny bit of chopped tomato, lots of sour cream and chilis and a good amount of chips, if there were something to dip them into. I specifically asked for guacamole but got none and there was no cheese at all. I'm from NY and for $16 you'd get plenty of everything I mentioned above and it would have melted cheese on top! I got takeaway from this restaurant and the food was delicious! The tacos were very good, I wish we went & sat down inside. I love the outdoor lighting and the seating, it's not just a few seats, it's a bunch of tables outside & the place is very clean inside. Their service was excellent. We have been wanting to come to this location for awhile now and finally had the chance. Upon entering we were immediately greeted. It was pretty busy even though some tables were still empty. They seem to have a good flow of people coming and going the whole time. We waited maybe a minute while they cleaned a booth for us and then sat us. The decor is cute and bright. Our waitress was kind, a bit overwhelmed but was attentive and responsive so no real complaints with the service. Everyone in the place seemed happy and joyful so we had a good feeling about this place. Unfortunately, we ordered the guacamole with our chips and was immediately let down. It did not taste fresh and was way to over seasoned. Honestly after this, we didn't have high hopes but again we were surprised. The entrees were delicious! I got the pollo fundido and it was absolutely delicious! We love eating at Mexican restaurants but usually find the rice and beans to be lacking. Well, not here! They were actually great as well and the first time that we can think of where we actually ate them and not let them just be fillers on our plates!
