So frustrated! We order an awning a while ago but didn't have a chance to install it until now. Admittedly, it was purchased more than a year ago, but apparently that voids the warranty. It was unopened in the box until now. When we opened it and went to install, we realized that we're missing a few plastic pieces (they were probably all in one bag). Even though it is brand new, they won't cover it under warranty and want $155 to replace these small pieces. You have got to be kidding me!! A full replacement is $199. Horrible customer service. (I had great response time from their customer service folks up until my payment went through...and I have tried to contact them, multiple times, via their online chat, work voicemail, and an email that their representative provided...from the day that I mistakenly purchased the out-of-stock sauna..and every day since. Following is the latest message that I left on their customer service, chat line that now says..."Hi! We are currently away. Please leave us a detailed message and our team will reach out to you the next business day." (of which I have left MANY)...and has said the same for the past few days when, previous to my purchase, I always received a response from their rep, Isaiah in a timely manner) "Hi again, Isaiah! I didn't hear back from you...I know you must be busy. So I don't have my $4,200+ payment just sitting out there, accruing interest, while we don't know if/when you can deliver the sauna...I have requested that PayPal reverse the charge ASAP. I think it would be easier if you could just credit me back the entire payment from your end...and I would greatly appreciate it if you could do that today as I'm sure (that if the show were on the other foot) you wouldn't want that kind of money just sitting in limbo while you are paying a finance fee on it...and don't have anything to show for it. Thanks so much for all of your time. Please send me a receipt/confirmation when you are able to reverse the charge or when you have worked out the same reversal with PayPal. Thanks so much!" Awful experience for me. 1) Messaged them on FB to ask if they had the product (set of weights) I wanted in stock. They said they had them available. 2) Drove to pick them up after work. After paying, I waited 40 minutes for the staff to bring the items out. This is after me coming back in twice to check on the status. They unfortunately only had half of what I wanted available. March 2021 my "four person" inflatable hot tub was purchased as a gift, it was not unpacked and set up for use until this summer, 2022. This month I have discovered several air leaks in the tub and have attempted to patch them, unsuccessfully. I got in contact with Sabina from support who provided the only troubleshooting answers she had, unfortunately all unhelpful, and informed me that due to the lapse of warranty there was nothing more Aleko could do for me. I am beyond disappointed. I thought with careful, diligent maintenance and attention I could get at least a couple good years of use out of a temporary hot tub while saving up to buy a more permanent option. Instead I was only able to use the tub for a few months, and now I am still paying installments for a product I will be discarding. Beware dealing with this company, which is doing the classic "bait and switch" on Craigslist. They advertised an inflatable hot tub for $100, "due to a customer return" (reg. discount price around $415). After answering the ad, we took a ferry and drove 26 mi. to the store to pick it up. It was "blocked" by other merchandise in their warehouse and "inaccessible," but we were promised if we came back, there would be a 15% discount for our trouble. We called before leaving home this time, and guess what? The tub had been sold, but we could have another $400 one for 15% off. When we asked to speak to a manager, "they" were all in a meeting and it was against store policy to give out their names. Instead, we were told that that they would be informed of the problem and would call us back. Also, that if we ever saw a deal of theirs like that on Craigslist again, we could call and they would remember us and give it to us. We asked for proof of this promise and they claimed they were recording the call and "would remember us." They were very sorry that we were frustrated. Disgusted is more like it. By the way--if you read a whole bunch of Yelp reviews about ALEKO, notice that they either have one star and an unhappy customer like me, or they have 5 stars, advertising a product with great enthusiasm, followed by a thank you from the owner. This is the most unprofessional company I have ever dealt with!! Customer service sucks!! They do not return your calls!! And emails rarely I purchased a gate $619. When it was supposed to be delivered I had stayed home all day I also have cameras to film anybody that drops off the driver lied and said he came to my house and nobody was home that was completely unprofessional I decided to cancel my order and get a refund!! Emailed them a few days in advance to ask if they had the canopy I wanted in stock. They never replied. Got here and waited 15 minutes before anyone helped me. The guy says $229 and I said "your craigslist ad says $145". He goes and checks and comes back 5 minutes later and says okay $145. They don't care about their customers.. I purchased two $100 gift certificates at an auction and they just don't work on their website. It's been 9 days with no resolve. They keep saying they'll work now, and they don't. So I gave them the items I want, shipping address and gift certificate numbers so they can just process it. They refuse, becuase they just can't do that.?. I've asked to be contacted by a manager at least 2 - 3 times and still have not recived contact. Very disappointing. Tried to pick something up today only to wait 20 mins to be informed that the system was down and that it would be another 10-20 minutes but they "weren't sure." (*shoulder shrug) Really should have a backup systems in place even if that means going back to the ol' pen and paper. Hey my Gym friends I am writing this five star review of Aleko in Kent Washington. I just bought a 90 pound set of adjustable dumbbells that go from 10 to 90 pounds each a pair for less than half of the cost of bow flex or anything you'll find online. They're brand new and have a one year warranty! In addition I also purchased a smaller set of chrome cast iron dumbbells that go from 5 to 33 pounds for smaller weights. Those came as a set for an unbelievably low price. ****UPDATE- Shortly after writing this review, Brandi with the company emailed me apologizing for the inconvenience and to expect a full refund within the next 2-3 business days with no need to return the item purchased. In return, I promised to update my review reflecting the company making things right. In the future, I hope this company can find a way to improve their customer services more efficiently. I graded my original review at a 1 star which I have since changed to 3 stars. If you order from this company, better hope the item(s) you order is exactly what you need because returning them is about as easy as moving mountains. Customer service is COMPLETELY NONEXISTENT. In order to return an item, their website says you must email them and request an RMA # before returning any package and allow them 24 hours for a response that you WILL NOT EVER GET. Going on 2 weeks now of calling, emailing multiple departments, and leaving voicemails. When calling, sometimes someone will pick up but then you are either put back on hold or sent to their voicemail. I am on my 6th call just today. I ordered a coop from Aleko a week ago. We bought small chicks and needed a coop. Before ordering I called Aleko to make sure it would ship right away. They informed me that they use free FedEx 3-5 day shipping service. This is exactly the time frame I needed. I placed the order right after the call. I got an invoice right away that said the same free FedEx 3-5 days ground shipping. The next day I got an email with a FedEx tracking number, but when I went to the FedEx site it showed that the tracking number was incorrect. The next day I got an email from another shipping company with the same tracking number and when I checked it then it showed an eta Wensday 9/23rd which was yesterday. On that email they asked me to call the shipping company to arrange a delivery time because I would need to help the driver unload it. When I called the shipping company on Tuesday I was informed that they don't know where the package is and they don't have eta, and if I can call them next week to figure it out. I called today to see what is going on and it seems like the package has been found but they can't give me any eta. Per them it can take up to 3 weeks to receive. I called Aleko and was told that do to this being a larger package they were not able to use FedEx and that no one promised a 3-5 business day sheeting, which is something that states it on the invoice and emails. We were then told to that this is an automatic response their system puts out. This was told to us when we asked for a full refund due to the misleading shipping details they originally provide me. The fact is that I don't know when I will receive my coops and Alkeo WILL NOT refund the full amount because they don't think they did anything wrong. They want to charge me the shipping, which is clearly their mistake . ALL I WANTED IS TO GET AN ETA TO SEE IF I NEED TO FIND ANOTHER SOLUTION FOR THE CHICKS WHICH ARE GETTING BIGGER EVERYDAY. I'm not worried about getting my money back. I have all documents that prove that they had false advertisement. I'm sure I will get my money back from my Credit Card company that I used for this order. Customer service doesn't answer even during posted available times, I've tried calling multiple times and nothing. I've emailed customer service multiple times and the only response I received was a single email saying they would contact me in 24 hours, which never happened. I am going to dispute the charges at this point it's almost a month after my order and zero progress. I will try and go there in person to get it cancelled, will update after that -- disappointing because I've ordered through Aleko before with no problems, but this is the worst experience I've had with a company, to take your money and just not respond, especially when the product hasn't even processed yet. This place sells exclusively cheap Chinese knock off type products. Yes, they're cheaper than common brands, but the reality is the craftsmanship and durability is poor. I have purchased items from them twice. The first item was a greenhouse i used to store materials during a construction project. Because it doesn't rain during the summer, I did not notice how poor quality it was until the rain began. It leaked in multiple places. I had to put a tarp on top to make it water tight. Within a few months, the stitching on the zippers wore out and started coming apart. I was no longer able to zip half or the door. The moment the project was finished, i took the frame apart and threw the entire greenhouse away. My original intention had been to use it for a season and sell it to recoup half of my cost, but it was in such bad shape that it needed to be thrown away. The other product I purchased was an inflatable boat that leaked immediately and was returned. When you're 0/2 in crappy products, it is no longer a fluke, but a bad business practice. If you need cheap knock offs for temporary use, this is your place. Throw your money away for disposable products that will need replacement in a year or sooner. read more
