They were conscientious about what we wanted explaining everything they would do and having suggestions for us as well. The estimate included every detail. Work began within days and was finished after two days. The workers were polite and hard working showing great patience with changes made during construction. Nothing was sloppy as even precise cuts were made where needed. Double and single gates included steel posts for extra strength. A baseboard along the entire fence keeps animals from digging under it and holds back ground where it was uneven. On top of all this the price was reasonable and competitive. So, every once in a while you wish you could give a company more than 5 stars - Optima Fence and Deck is one of those companies: prompt, thorough, clean, and beautiful and precise work. They just installed a new gate and a new fence for us and we're so happy with how both were built and how they look that we're going to negotiate with the neighbor on the other side to get that fence replaced, too. When we moved in several years ago, our side gate didn't close - a tree root had moved the post out of alignment. We tried to fix it but we couldn't figure out a way to make it work. Then, to compound things, the ivy on the other side of the fence pulled several panels of our back yard fence down during the bomb cyclone in November and the rest of the fence was threatening to follow. It was time to make the calls to fencing companies... We got several quotes, and I was impressed by Optima's professionalism and focus on details. We had a long discussion about how to rebuild the gate while working around the tree roots, and not only did Ilya, the person doing the quotes, look at it, but Oleg, the owner of the company, also came out to evaluate the best way to rebuild it. They also noted the level change for the fences, and had several suggestions on how to build a fence that lasts in a difficult location. Scheduling was easy and prompt; David's team worked a long day to finish both the gate and the side fence. They were clean, organized, and very professional and a delight to work with. Earlier this year we started down the path of our plan to have a second-floor deck installed. After checking reviews of several companies, four (4) were called out to view the site and discuss the project. While meeting with the different company representatives we made the decision to have a lower-level deck built as well, making a seamless transition from the back door to the ground. Ilya B. from Optima Fence and Deck was the only representative who spent a significant and unhurried amount of time with us to get a clear understanding of the overall project. He created a preliminary electronic drawing providing a visual for us and also presented decking product samples for us to handle while discussing the attributes of each one and answering all our questions. When the proposal came in it contained line-item details for each element of the project; framing, decking material, footing and posts, etc. No other company provided that level of detail. Engineering plans were created and approved by us then submitted to the city to have the building permit issued. Then we all waited. When the permit finally came through after a wait of 2.5 months Optima began the construction almost immediately. Having heard tales of companies who would only work a few hours a week on a specific project we were impressed when the building team came out and accomplished the task assigned for that day on the same day. Of significant note is the quality of the materials used and the attention to detail by the installation teams. Three (3) separate inspections are required for this project and at the 2nd inspection a missing element on the permit from the city was discovered and work stopped on the lower deck. Ilya kept us apprised of the status regularly and was always responsive to calls, texts, and emails. Finally, after another six (6) weeks of waiting the updated permit was received and the project was completed in short order. Optima created an ABSOLUTELY STUNING upper and lower deck for us which we will enjoy for years and added value to our home.
