After walking from Termini station it was a nice 12 min walk to this hotel. I found the walk pretty smooth even though I was walking @1800. So the hotel was in a 1930 old financial building that got converted into a Aleph Hotel by Hilton and they got a restaurant named after 1930 in honor of this building. This historic hotel opened in 1930 as the Central Institute of Savings Bank. The bank was closed in the 1990s and it reopened as a hotel in 2003. The Aleph has retained several of the original elements of the bank, including the marble floors, onyx paneling, and vault door. There are also tons of lime scooters and bikes around which I used and had a great time exploring the city. The breakfast buffet is thought out well . From the food to the staff each day was unique and different as it should be so i give to this buffet / service a solid 5/5 The fruit here in Rome is sweeeeeet. Mangos , kiwi , grapefruit , oranges. Cantaloupe. The juices here squeezed and made fresh daily I can't comment on the coffee / lattes but from what it looked like this place brews with straight love Although The bed and sheets are comfy. The AC was kickin in and out. Had to open the window to breathe. The bathroom was nicely thought out and laid. Overall this place is solid. Located near most main attractions. All 10/15 min away. Very convenient location - almost all sites in Roma we visited are within walking distance, through clean and safe streets in the city center: less than 10 minutes to Trevi Fountains, Pantheon, 15 minutes to Colosseum, Roman Forum, Spanish Steps, and 30 minutes to Vatican museum. We saved a lot of taxi money by doing that, and put that to food in good restaurants many of which are nearby too. Hotel itself is small but very nice, quiet and hospitable. The breakfast buffet is simply the best of any Hilton hotels we ever stayed - a ton of choices among high quality Italian meats, bakery items, fruits, freshly cooked veggie stews, omelets. We are royal Hilton customers for many years and know what to expect, but this one is certainly above and beyond and worth every penny. read more

We are Diamond members that paid for our room because it was not a good points deal over NYE. We did not get any special Diamond member perks. We gave this hotel 5 stars for 3 main reasons: The location is great for site seeing by foot. Trevi Fountain and the Spanish Steps are within .5 miles. There are lots of shops and restaurants on the way. It is also located close to a restaurant row that connects Trevi to the Pantheon. It was about a mile walk to the forum/coliseum, Piazza Navona, Trestevere, Piazza Campi de Fiori. All of that being said, the hotel is located on a side street off of a Main Street so there were not crowds in front of the hotel. We got a king premier. The room was very comfortable. It had plenty of usb outlets. The bedroom was a bit small but the bathroom was large with a double sink vanity and walk in shower. It had a nice towel warmer. Overall, we could both get ready at the same time with plenty of space. The staff are very friendly and helpful. We also liked the rooftop bar area. We would stay here again. read more

This is a Hilton property that is very centrally located to see the sights of Rome. When I checked in and asked for a map, the clerk very helpfully pointed out the major attractions and said that none of them were more than a 35 minute walk away. The porters took my bags and I asked the front desk to break some euros so I could tip, but they didn't have change The front desk clerk walked me to my room and showed me some of the features. I got a free bottle of water with my Hilton status, but it was a glass bottle that needed an opener and it took me awhile to figure out where the opener was. It's the the bathroom door. This is one of those typical European hotels where you have to put your key in a slot to turn on the lights. It was a very nice room, but on the small side. The Kleenex box in my room only had a few tissues in it, so I asked housekeeping for some when I heard their cart outside my room, but they didn't have any. My only real disappointment was with the upstairs restaurant. I stopped up there to pick something up to take to the room. I asked for a Diet Coke while I waited and was charged 9 euro for it! The servers were very friendly and helpful, but said they needed to wait for their manager to ring me up. They brought my food to the table, but I had to wait quite awhile to close out. I ended up with a cold, expensive dinner. The breakfast in the morning was very good. It's only served until 10, so plan ahead for that. read more

This hotel is truly the definition of luxury. Beautifully decorated with white marble covering the entry way, floors, and most of the lobby. The staff puts the guests first and strives to meet any and all needs you may have. My husband had requested a (surprise for me) special treat for our anniversary, and the hotel staff provided decadent treats (wish I took a photo, but ate them too fast) and a bottle of red wine. The concierge also helped us secure tickets to the Borghese Gallery with only 24 hours notice! Amenities include a spa that features a Turkish bath, sauna, and whirlpool. It's like your own little escape after a long day of walking around Rome. The Aleph Rome hotel is a very short walk from the Barberini metro stop on the A line. Could be slightly difficult with a lot of luggage (slightly uphill and uneven sidewalks), but very convenient for getting around to local sites. Breakfast was included for us (we have status with Hilton), but it's definitely worth paying for (if needed). There is a menu to order from (eggs benedict, crepes, omelets, etc), as well as a buffet of meats, cheeses, breads, pastries, fresh fruit, and juices. If you are from the US, or only speak English, you will have no issues here. All of the staff speaks excellent English and we experienced no confusion or difficulty communicating whatsoever. read more

This boutique has a stellar staff, very attractive public areas and rooms and a great location - - a quiet street near most of the major attractions. The breakfast was terrific and served by an excellent staff, especially Aziz. The free spa is very nice as is the free first round from the minibar. Room was large by Rome standards, clean. Bed very comfortable. The first round of drinks in the minibar is complimentary and the selection was extensive; non alcoholic, but there were at least 8 bottles of still and sparking water, juice, soft drinks. Nice touch. No ironing board in the room (?) and the towel heater did not work. Staff were very friendly and attended to all our needs promptly. Rooftop pool isn't large, but it was quiet and nice, impeccably clean. The spa area in the basement is awesome; massive jacuzzi, and even a Turkish Hamamm. Located near the Borghese Gardens, Spanish Steps (meh) and all the other touristy stuff you want. I cannot speak to any of the restaurants on premises, but the room was nice and I would stay again. read more

The Aleph is an peaceful oasis perfectly situated in Rome - about a 5 min walk to Trevi Fountain and a block away from the Barberini Metro stop. The hotel is beautifully appointed and meticulously clean. But what really stands out is the hotel's team. I stay in a lot hotels - both professionally and privately. The entire team here is simply exceptional -right from Anastasia Leonzi (front desk leader) to the super friendly "1930s" restaurant staff. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed like family. A special shout-out to two very important staff members - Hanen Taboubi (Guest Relations Manager) and Mario (Manager of the 1930's Restaurant). Ms. Hanen was the reason we chose the Aleph - She was on the Aleph Hotel's YouTube video. She made sure we were upgraded to a fantastic suite and is a standout manager who clearly loves her job and was incredibly helpful. Mario manages the 1930's restaurant (breakfast restaurant) and welcomes every single guest to a hugely positive good morning. Even the gloomy Brits who just got over the Euro 2020 soccer match loss were happy to see him. He makes 100% sure every guest enjoys their breakfast and starts their day well. The property was spotlessly clean and we felt completely safe from COVID-19 with the measures the hotel has taken. We were upgraded to a spacious suite that was perfectly set-up and was a quiet retreat from busy Rome. The suite was very spacious, quiet and modern. Everything we needed: Luxury toiletries, mini-fridge with complimentary drinks, plenty of storage, good A/C and incredible bathroom. The bed was perfect for a great night's sleep. I touched on the Aleph Hotel's 1930s Restaurant, but breakfast is my favorite meal of the day and I am very picky about what I choose to eat at the start of the day. It was well-appointed and had a wide selection of eggs, meats, cheeses, yogurts, fruits, juices, and really good cappuccino. Additionally, you can order virtually anything to be specially prepared. I did Eggs Benedict a couple days (how well a restaurant makes this is usually is a great predictor for how good the rest of the breakfast is)...it was the best I have ever devoured! We stayed for three nights. It is a beautiful hotel with all the amenities. It's near the Spanish Steps and there is not shortage of places to eat in the area. The room was adequately spacious and there was a separate shower and tub (although the tub also had a shower head as well). We did have two mishaps while we were there. The fire alarm went off in the middle of the night. NINE TIMES! They also had some problem with the hot water upon our arrival. The desk personnel were very friendly and knowledgeable about their city. We were always greeted upon arrival and return to the hotel. The only fault I would comment on is the lack of fresh wash cloths after the room had been tidied up. This seems to have been a recurring theme throughout our entire European vacation :) read more

I'm giving this hotel 1 star because of how they treat Diamond members. I'm in the middle of getting moved (again). I've wasted most of the entire morning waiting on a room upgrade that is satisfactory. I'm staying at the Waldorf Astoria tomorrow night and they have already confirmed a very nice room upgrade with a view of Rome for me. This hotel was great . It wasn't as big as the hotels in the USA but it was workable. It had a nice gym . The rooms were small but workable and nice . The front desk people were very helpful in helping us find places to eat and to go explore . The breakfast buffet was very good and I loved the location it wasn't in the heart of action in Rome but it was close by . The roof top and pool area were also very nice . I really enjoyed it, the staff was really nice and friendly. It's centrally located to everything, you will do a lot of walking everywhere instead of taking a cab. But if you want to take a cab you can. I had a chance to talk to some people who were working here and they were all super informative about things to do, where to go: I would definitely stay here on my visit to Roma. Walk in and ya know you've officially arrived and your kinda of a big deal!!!! The hotel is managed by Hilton but the property itself is owned and designed by The Price of Qatar, and it's obvious he spared no expense on this place. My favorite part was definitely the swimming and aquatic area it was made inside an old vault, huge, and the running water all over the place makes it extremely relaxing. The restaurants and bars on property are first class, breakfast is amazing, the cigar lounge on the first floor makes you feel like a real BOSS, and if you really wanna get your baller status go chill at the roof top bar. The rooms are spacious and well appointed and some have balconies. Their is marble all over the place but I guess you'd expect that in Italy. This is thee best hotel I've ever had stayed I will most definitely be back a lot more in this lifetime! read more

When I arrived with a taxi, the driver could not get reception to charge out credit card so I ended up paying cash. Luckily, I hope to have it from my last trip. This place has unrenovated and renovated rooms. I booked through an discounted website and ended up not what I expected because I didn't get to select online and thought I would get to when I arrive. It was not their fault but the staff didn't handle it as well. The first thing they said was telling us that if we want the other room that we would need to pay more. They know the situation. While we waited in the seating area for the room to be ready, we were offered a big fancy glass bottle of water. Not sure if they charged me or not since I haven't checked my bill. When I visited the room, it was fine. They had put the beds together for me to become a bigger bed. The renovated room would have looked like a 5 star hotel room though. It was nice that all staff greet us every time. When the doorman is there, they are helpful. The staff seem to speak very limited English which was expected. The front desk person knew more English. I didn't ask much questions to front desk but they were able to help. The hotel seems so quiet. In my room, I don't really hear any noise which helps with getting some sleep. I needed to order a certain drink but room service was not 24/7. I was able to check out at noon and the check out process was quick. They allow me to leave my luggage a there too. read more

Gorgeous hotel located about 3/4 mile from the train station. Beautiful modern ambiance. The room was great. Plenty of room and the bathroom had all of the modern amenities. Breakfast was included and had plenty of options - even. Vegan ones including grilled veggies, fruit, almond milk etc. service was nice. FYI there is a city tax you pay when check out that we were not aware of. Would stay here again for sure. read more

All i have to say is WOW! I am a bit picky and not easily impressed to the extent that i was after staying here with the customer service!! I will talk about the hotel in just a bit. Im in the business of customer service and train people on it and as soon as you walk up to the hotel you are greeted like (i dont want to exaggerate) royalty. Not because the doorman open the car door for us when arriving from the airport but the manor in which they did it with such courtesy and friendliness. They didnt let us lift a thing, especially since my wife was exhausted from the long flight, but the fresh air walking into the doors made us forget about being tired. The gentleman at the front desk immediately greeted us and was helping another guest check in. So we had to wait a bit. But as soon as he was available he again apologized for the wait. Mind you it was already 9pm local time. He quickly checked us in and had someone take our bags up. So far so good. Now walking into this place i loved what i saw. I loved the decor the colors and the feel of luxury in the lobby. The rooms were no large suites but they were big enough with large vaulted ceilings which i liked, the bathrooms although small were clean and very nice. We had dinner one of the nights here but the food was ok but expensive. The gentleman in the restaurant was very very nice, and again superb customer service. I noticed since im use to tipping well i made friends allover this hotel. The day we left i was worried about leaving our bags or taking our bags as we go back into the city again to eat before having to wait for our car to arrive to take us to the airport, however the first gentleman that helped us when we arrived was working the front door that day and was more than happy to take our bags in a holding room so we could go eat lunch one last time by the Spanish Steps. Again nothing better than peace of mind especially when your wife brings so much stuff that she beleives is worth more thane me. All in all we enjoyed our stay at this hotel we definitely had a wonderful experience and is one of the best hotels we ever stayed in and it had a lot to do with their customer service. read more

This hotel had some good features, especially the staff, but one thing was unpleasant: we arrived late morning after a long flight from Chicago like most travelers, exhausted and jet-lagged, and asked if our room might be available. We're Hilton Honors members and hoped that might help. It did not. Although during our four-night stay it appeared the hotel was not full, we were not allowed to check in til 2 p.m. and were forced to crash wearily in the lobby chairs. Later we found out that it is common in Rome to not allow any guests to check in til 2 p.m. regardless of the availability of rooms. This is not a good policy and it colored our otherwise more positive experience. read more

Our stay here was just amazing! I'll break it down in categories. The service here is superb and very personal, you feel so welcomed and cared for! They really want you to have a memorable experience. The food is so delicious, order the eggs Benedict in the morning and expect phenomenal service from the food and beverage staff, including Mario!!! Upon checking in, we were greeted ever so graciously by the bell desk, front desk agents concierge and any other staff at the lobby. The spa and gym area is amazing with its relaxing ambiance. The room is super clean, spacious and has all the amenities you'll need. The location is central! We were able to either walk or take the subway to great restaurants or monuments like Trevi Fountain, Pantheon, Spanish Steps and more! We already miss Rome and when we do come back, Aleph will always be our hotel to stay at. It's our home in Rome. The decor is very chique & modern.The lobby has an asian vibe to it with the two 7 foot samurai warrior standing guard and alot of red & black making it seem very decadent. From the beautiful rooftop bar and pool to the spacious and tastefully appointed rooms, and the staff attended to our every need. The location is hard to beat as well - walking distance to many of the city's attractions. The icing on the cake was the complimentary gelato given out to everyone at the pool in the afternoon. I have stayed in many luxury hotels around the world and had excellent service, but this hotel was the best by far. The front desk personnel were so friendly and welcoming and very accommodating. My room was small but beautiful and had everything I needed and more. The restaurant staff at the buffet breakfast were wonderful and so kind and I really felt like a cherished guest. The food was good and the espresso was great to get me started every morning. The concierge was helpful in getting my dinner reservations at a restaurant for my party of 8. The spa staff was courteous and attentive to my needs. I had an aromatherapy massage that blew me away and I was relaxed and rejuvenated beyond belief. On my last day, I somehow lost my gloves and new scarf, however when I returned for my checked baggage, they had my belongings together and wrapped for me. The location is convenient to transportation and walking distances to major attractions. The neighborhood is safe and has what you need (Pam grocery, coffee bars, restaurants, banks). I will make sure this is where I stay every time I return to Rome. read more

CAUTION!! the hotel is under construction and is extremely loud! The drilling starts at 8am, and we were told we were in one of the quieter rooms and the noise was out of control. No way you could sleep through this. The front desk was unable to give me an estimated date of completion. So be careful when booking here. There is no mention of this on their web site. read more
