The hotel itself was beautiful. The staff was incredible and very personable. It was my very first impression of the city of Rome and it was something that immediately made me fall in love with Italy and Italians.

Wonderful experience. We arrived well before noon and they were able to let us check-in. Vey nice. The check-in process was smooth and easy the desk clerk showed us to our room and was very informative and helpful. Breakfast was delicious and the service was great. The room was very nice, quiet, and the bed was very comfortable. Bathroom had a great shower and quality toiletries. Location was wonderful and we walked top all the major sights. A great experience all around.

This hotel exceeded our expectations and I hope this review helps everyone understand why. The Aleph Hotel is one of Rome's top-rated luxury hotels and is also one of Europe's top-10 hotels. Before we booked our five-night reservation, I thoroughly researched the other luxury hotels (like the Excelsior and the Bristol) and saw video for the Aleph video www.youtube.com/watch?v=HmWrfO12m9I The hotel is managed by Hilton, but it is owned and designed by The Prince of Qatar, and it's obvious he spared no expense on this place. From the moment you walk in to the beautifully decorated halls and white marble floors, you know you've officially arrived to luxury. The Aleph is an peaceful oasis perfectly situated in Rome - about a 5 min walk to Trevi Fountain and a block away from the Barberini Metro stop. The hotel is beautifully appointed and meticulously clean. But what really stands out is the hotel's team. I stay in a lot hotels - both professionally and privately. The entire team here is simply exceptional -right from Anastasia Leonzi (front desk leader) to the super friendly "1930s" restaurant staff. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed like family. A special shout-out to two very important staff members - Hanen Taboubi (Guest Relations Manager) and Mario (Manager of the 1930's Restaurant). Ms. Hanen was the reason we chose the Aleph - She was on the Aleph Hotel's YouTube video. She made sure we were upgraded to a fantastic suite and is a standout manager who clearly loves her job and was incredibly helpful. Mario manages the 1930's restaurant (breakfast restaurant) and welcomes every single guest to a hugely positive good morning. Even the gloomy Brits who just got over the Euro 2020 soccer match loss were happy to see him. He makes 100% sure every guest enjoys their breakfast and starts their day well. The property was spotlessly clean and we felt completely safe from COVID-19 with the measures the hotel has taken. We were upgraded to a spacious suite that was perfectly set-up and was a quiet retreat from busy Rome. The suite was very spacious, quiet and modern. Everything we needed: Luxury toiletries, mini-fridge with complimentary drinks, plenty of storage, good A/C and incredible bathroom. The bed was perfect for a great night's sleep. I touched on the Aleph Hotel's 1930s Restaurant, but breakfast is my favorite meal of the day and I am very picky about what I choose to eat at the start of the day. It was well-appointed and had a wide selection of eggs, meats, cheeses, yogurts, fruits, juices, and really good cappuccino. Additionally, you can order virtually anything to be specially prepared. I did Eggs Benedict a couple days (how well a restaurant makes this is usually is a great predictor for how good the rest of the breakfast is)...it was the best I have ever devoured! We definitely recommend this hotel and will be returning soon for another great visit to Rome.

The BEST hotel I have ever been too

This is the MOST flawless hotel I have ever been to. Everyone is so attentive and you will literally feel like you are home[or better than home] Lorenzo & Julied have been such an amazing host. Thank you a million times. Thank you to all staff at the Aleph Rome Hotel. Thank you for being genuinely happy, and having an amazing attitude. Xoxox all the way from the USA

This hotel is perfect. Hilton family of hotels, employees speak English, but also a beautiful boutique style. Walking distance to everything but on a quiet side street so it's not overwhelmingly touristy. Clean. Nice bathrooms. Down comforter with white linens. Bathrobes and fluffy shoes. Excellent restaurants and roof top terrace on site.

After a few days the server didn't need to ask anymore he just brought me a cappuccino when I sat down. That is probably the biggest breakfast buffets I have ever seen. The two pictures don't fully capture it all. I really liked this hotel and would be back if I am ever in Rome again.

The downstairs spa was a bit small, but enjoyable nonetheless, with steam room, sauna, and simple hydrotherapy stations. By Rome standards for a full-service hotel, it would be considered affordable by many. But just to be clear, it is not ultra-inexpensive. For the money, it is firmly in the 4-star hotel genre (getting a 5-star Yelp rating from me within this category because I could find nothing wrong with it during my stay). So, while it may not have crystal chandeliers and butlers running around, it is definitely not a student tourist level hostel. It has modern, comfortable public spaces, elevators that hold more than 2 people at a time, a restaurant with a good breakfast spread, and well-appointed guest rooms with modern amenities and AC. I really don't need more than that when I am traveling solo for business so it was perfect for me given that set of circumstances. As a comparison, I have stayed at a 5-star Rome hotel which was absolutely a step up in terms of service, luxury features, and a sense of a personal attention. But when I am alone on business, that level of service is not necessary and can feel uncomfortable to me. There are plenty of cafe's and restaurants within a 10 min walk and it is a reasonable walk to attractions such as the Opera House, the Coliseum, and the Trevi Fountain. It is also a 10-minute walk to the main terminal Rome train station and the cool, local Nuovo Mercato Esquilino if you are into that type of thing like I am. I spent early mornings walking somewhere for coffee and then through the Mercato to watch the vendors work to ready their produce and meat to be pawed over by early restauranteurs which was a cool look at the underbelly life of this great city. I really liked that this hotel is not right up against the busy street and, on at least 2 sides of the building, there are streets that are not constantly jammed with the noise of traffic. My room fronted one of the quiet sides. It is unclear to me if I was upgraded to a nicer than standard room location because of my Hilton loyalty status but I had a very quiet stay in a room that was impeccably clean and could be easily darked out during the day if I needed a restorative nap for my jet lag. The gym was reasonably appointed and open 24/7 and the wi-fi speed was top notch. I had a great stay here for the money. Based on all of this, when in Rome in the future as a solo business traveler, I would be very happy to stay here again.

Upon arrival we were greeted with the welcoming staff and escorted into the ruins beyond the lobby where we were brought a lovely tiramisu welcome treat to enjoy while taking in the ruins. The room is impressively large with a huge bathroom. We had a plush king sized bed with cozy down bedding. The thick beautiful curtains ensured that the room was perfectly dark for great sleep even if we wanted a mid day nap. There was a lovely little balcony with a view of the courtyard. This was not a problem and we stayed in this room as warming towels us a perk but not a requirement. I think the hotel was really concerned that we were upset but we absolutely were not just keep in mind this building is antique and if you are coming from the US where everything is new and not used to a potential aroma of antiquity be prepared to experience a true European city and do not complain. All details are thought of here including mini bar, clothes steamer, hair dryer, toiletries and a welcome gift. The staff is so friendly and welcoming. They are always ensuring that we were comfortable and happy. We absolutely loved our stay here. The hotel is a special place and experience. The nostalgia of standing and staying where the Romans once stood 2000 years ago was definitely a treat! The hotel has a rooftop terrace where we enjoyed breakfast in the mornings and wine in the evening. The lounge just inside of the terrace is cozy and comfortable to enjoy a glass of wine or cocktail in the evening and there's a cozy fireplace to warm up, which we took full advantage of after a long wet rainy day in the colosseum and Roman forum. We had a great stay here and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a special Roman experience. We will definitely be back!
