Really good service. Associates came up to our room with our food in 10 minutes it was about 47€ 3 stakes with a side of fries for that much? Taking that. We also got a designated driver for tours around Rome. Bed was comfy. Pillows were too. Breakfast had me feeling like an absolute peasant. It looked like a wedding and the food was good too. Couldn't give it five bc we didn't spend enough time in it but if we did 5 right there

    We are here!

We enjoyed a fantastic stay in Rome! The location was perfect. We had 3 rooms and were three families. The hotel staff was super helpful and truly cared about your stay. From the doormen, to the front desk staff, to the Concierge, the restaurant servers... all were a pleasure. We would definitely stay again.

I reserved this hotel which cost USD$600+ per night. At this price, you think a hotel will be spectacular, right? Wrong! Upon my arrival at this hotel on September 7, 2022, I called reception to ask someone how I could lower the air conditioning which was blowing at full force & freezing. The employee at reception said that the A/C is controlled by a computer. I reiterated that I needed to control the temp myself, as the weather changed (day to night). The employee would not give up control of the A/C. I ended up catching g a cold & cough. Besides this, the bathroom is tiny and dated. To take a shower, you have to raise your leg & swing it over a high bathtub edge. Beware handicapped or elderly folks! Once standing in bathtub, you slip continuously because at either side of your feet, the tub walls curve & slope upward so you have no stability or bearing. I kept slipping as I showered. At breakfast, the cantaloupe was fizzy and wasted and the buffet lacked high quality food. . Although I emailed Marriott Resorts (btw, I'm a Marriott Bonvoy member), their only response was, "I am very sorry your stay ... was not the Marriott International experience you deserve." They asked Rome Marriott to take action and respond. Here's what they responded, "... The purpose of this is to convey to you our sincerest apologies" - PERIOD! If you want to get crap quality at a hotel and pay USD$1,866.46 for 3-nights, please book your next stay at Marriott Hotels, especially Rome Marriott Grand Hotel Flora!

We were able to enjoy a couple of nights at this amazing hotel. The location is perfect. Walk to the central area where there are many places to eat and people watch. Shopping is wonderful as well. The hotel has an exquisite breakfast on the rooftop. The views were exceptional. Check in was smooth. Our room had two balconettes with views of the city. We slept with the doors open and enjoyed the crisp morning air. The bathrooms are well appointed.

The view from my room amazing place

You can not ever go wrong with a Marriott property. The staff was spectacular. Love the rooms, always a great time in Italy

Absolutely wonderful! Remember a few decades ago when staying at a luxury hotel actually felt like a luxury? Well in the US it really appears like those days are long gone... but not here in Rome. WOW the hotel is beautiful and the service is AMAZING in all areas! You really can't go wrong staying here - and the location is PERFECT for sight seeing. I love the view from the 7th floor breakfast room overlooking the Vatican and other sites (and the breakfast fast is lovely too). I travel a lot in the US for work and I have grown to generally despise corporate hotels. This place is completely different and is a breath of fresh air. Wow.

The Gran Marriott Flora is stunning and impeccably maintained. I was fortunate enough to be upgraded to a corner suite, which has a spacious oval shaped living room and views over the park next door. This was a welcome treat as I always expect European rooms to be tiny. The interior spaces/stairwells and terrace on the top floor were beautiful. They serve a breakfast buffet on the spacious top floor terrace every morning (go early before it gets hot/sunny). The restaurant was fine, not really a destination, but there are so many great places to go in Rome not really an issue. Would definitely stay here again!

Stayed here for 7 nights in August. Located on the swanky street of Via Veneto this Marriott is located across the street from the Metro which has a Carrefour market. I was upgraded to a junior suite on a upper floor which had a separate living room and bedroom and a plush bathroom which included a towel warmer. Bathrobes and slippers made the stay comfy and the room was quiet. Breakfast was complimentary and the rooftop restaurant Cabiria had spectacular views of Rome which including the Borghese park and the Vatican. Cons at the hotel was the customer service was spotty at the front desk, the living room furniture was dated and the gym lacked decent equipment. Overall my stay was memorable and would return here again.

By Rome standards for a full-service hotel, it would be considered affordable by many. But just to be clear, it is not ultra-inexpensive. For the money, it is firmly in the 4-star hotel genre (getting a 5-star Yelp rating from me within this category because I could find nothing wrong with it during my stay). So, while it may not have crystal chandeliers and butlers running around, it is definitely not a student tourist level hostel. It has modern, comfortable public spaces, elevators that hold more than 2 people at a time, a restaurant with a good breakfast spread, and well-appointed guest rooms with modern amenities and AC. I really don't need more than that when I am traveling solo for business so it was perfect for me given that set of circumstances. As a comparison, I have stayed at a 5-star Rome hotel which was absolutely a step up in terms of service, luxury features, and a sense of a personal attention. But when I am alone on business, that level of service is not necessary and can feel uncomfortable to me. There are plenty of cafe's and restaurants within a 10 min walk and it is a reasonable walk to attractions such as the Opera House, the Coliseum, and the Trevi Fountain. It is also a 10-minute walk to the main terminal Rome train station and the cool, local Nuovo Mercato Esquilino if you are into that type of thing like I am. I spent early mornings walking somewhere for coffee and then through the Mercato to watch the vendors work to ready their produce and meat to be pawed over by early restauranteurs which was a cool look at the underbelly life of this great city. I really liked that this hotel is not right up against the busy street and, on at least 2 sides of the building, there are streets that are not constantly jammed with the noise of traffic. My room fronted one of the quiet sides. It is unclear to me if I was upgraded to a nicer than standard room location because of my Hilton loyalty status but I had a very quiet stay in a room that was impeccably clean and could be easily darked out during the day if I needed a restorative nap for my jet lag. The gym was reasonably appointed and open 24/7 and the wi-fi speed was top notch. I had a great stay here for the money. Based on all of this, when in Rome in the future as a solo business traveler, I would be very happy to stay here again.

That made the location extremely convenient. The hotel sits a short walk from Basilica of Santa Maria Maggiore, where Pope Francis is buried. Some areas near the main train station are often described as unsafe by Italian standards. We did not experience that near the hotel. Tourists and locals were out late, and the neighborhood stayed active into the evening. Rome is compact and easy to navigate. Most major attractions felt reachable within about 20 minutes by taxi, bus, or rail. We tried to visit the Trevi Fountain at 10:00 pm to avoid crowds. That plan failed completely(see pic). It was packed. Locals eat later than in the U.S., and many parts of the city stay busy well into the night. Restaurants remain open late. A note for U.S. travelers. European hotel rooms run smaller for the price. Even using Hilton points, our room would have cost close to $700 per night USD and felt small. The hotel offers a pleasant rooftop bar and a spacious lobby with multiple seating areas. The buffet breakfast was a solid, comfortable way to start the day. It was included for us as Hilton Diamond members. I am unsure of the cash price. Overall, the location and amenities make this a smart pre-cruise choice, especially for travelers relying on rail connections.

However, it is quietly nestled in a beautiful little neighborhood. It is very quiet and quaint. Upon arrival we were greeted with the welcoming staff and escorted into the ruins beyond the lobby where we were brought a lovely tiramisu welcome treat to enjoy while taking in the ruins. The room is impressively large with a huge bathroom. We had a plush king sized bed with cozy down bedding. The thick beautiful curtains ensured that the room was perfectly dark for great sleep even if we wanted a mid day nap. There was a lovely little balcony with a view of the courtyard. With the curtains open the natural light is perfect. The bed was comfortable and we Sisto very nicely here. The bathroom is very big with a walk in shower and bidet with all toiletries needed to have a comfortable stay. I will say I was a bit bummed that the tile warmer was not functional but the hotel was very kind offering anything to make sure that we were happy. This was not a problem and we stayed in this room as warming towels us a perk but not a requirement. I would also note that the building is quite old and the bathroom had a metallic smell perhaps from the pipes of older plumbing but it was fine as long as we kept the bathroom door closed. I think the hotel was really concerned that we were upset but we absolutely were not just keep in mind this building is antique and if you are coming from the US where everything is new and not used to a potential aroma of antiquity be prepared to experience a true European city and do not complain. All details are thought of here including mini bar, clothes steamer, hair dryer, toiletries and a welcome gift. The staff is so friendly and welcoming. The nostalgia of standing and staying where the Romans once stood 2000 years ago was definitely a treat! The hotel has a rooftop terrace where we enjoyed breakfast in the mornings and wine in the evening.
