When I signed up with Vivint, the salesman said there was a special promotion that included a discount if the installation was completed that day. The installer came that night and was there till after 11pm installing my panel--so my young son and I were alone with this stranger after 11 pm! He was unprofessional (complaining about his boss), he borrowed my drill because he didn't have the right tools and then took it with him when he left(!), and he did such an ugly job with the installation. I'm also pretty sure he filled out the customer evaluation himself and didn't give me a chance to. When I called the company to fix these problems--albeit after the 120 days allowed for customers to complain--they charged me a $99 service fee, offering me only a $15 credit to my account for my inconvenience. I think the company has good products but they butchered this installation job and didn't make up for it when they could have. They are offering $300 if I refer them to other customers, but I will not be taking them up on that offer because I do not recommend them.

The owner of the company showed up. His name is Jason, He was very , personable and knowledgeable. What I enjoyed about him the most is that he wasn't a pushy salesman, I didnt feel pressured or obligated as the other companies made me feel to sign up same day. We discussed what my security concerns and goals were, Jason took his time and did a thorough walk through explaining potential security vulnerabilities that I overlooked, more importantly advised me on the lack of smoke and carbon monoxide detectors in my home. He also pointed out that my existing security system is hooked up to the telephone line which in the event of a burglary can be cut. New technology runs on cellular networks. I never knew home security was can be so in depth. Jason opened my eyes to all these potential threats. Out of all the security companies that showed up for estimates, Jason was the only one who came with a demo. It was great to be able to see and touch the products before I made a purchase. After careful consideration, I decided that Jtech was a good fit for my family and home. I upgraded my existing system for a new smart home security system. The main panel is touch screen and visually intuitive. The best part is that I can totally control it from my Iphone or computer, not only does it control my alarm but it is also connected my cameras, lighting, thermostats, garage doors and front/back door locks in my home . If I forget to turn the thermostat down before I leave the house, it automatically goes down to a set temperature when I arm the system away. Making my home more energy efficient.
