*BEWARE!!!!* My review of Mule Security in Meriden goes as…read morefollows. If you're a minority don't bother, they don't want your money or business. It began with me making a call to schedule an appointment for Mule to give me a quote on a security system for my business. A young man named Seth set up the appointment and showed up to check out my location. He told me that it would take about 4 days to come up with a quote. 3 weeks went by and no call or reply to my messages. Finally I left another message stating that I needed a quote for a security system for my apartment as well, that's when he finally replied. He came by the house and took pictures of where the sensors are located from my current security system (odd!!!) .. Again, he tells me to give him a few days. Again, nothing... Another 3 weeks went by, so I decided to call the owner of Mule Security, and he didn't seem too concerned with my complaint or issue, and said he would have Seth call me the next day... It's been almost 2 months now, and neither Seth or the owner got back to me. It doesn't bother me that they didn't want my business, but it does bother me that total strangers have pictures of where my current security sensors are located throughout the house. I will be filing a police complaint this week, in case anyone breaks into my apartment, at least the police have something to work with. Not saying these people are not legit, just saying that the way they run their business sux! This is my review from my experience dealing with Mule Security. This is not bashing or slander, this is just my God given Constitutional right of freedom of Speech and Opinion.

We were told service calls would be free for a period of time, but that was not honored. We have been charged repeatedly for service visits. More recently, we noticed double charges on our monthly bill. When my husband called to address it, he was told very rudely that because of an issue with our equipment, they "manually" processed something and charged us twice. That is not an acceptable business practice. You cannot just double charge customers without clear authorization or explanation. To make matters worse, instead of resolving the issue, we were redirected to another company regarding app-related equipment. The lack of accountability and customer service is concerning. We are current customers and are now actively looking for other options. We expected reliability and professionalism from a security company, unfortunately, ADT has not delivered either

I tried to cancel 2 times over two days, the second time i was told they said they would be sending me a shipping label to return the unused equipment. The batteries in the window alarms were constantly dying, giving off false alarm signals. If a smoke alarm went off due to smoke from grilling, it was easily 20-30 minutes before a customer service rep would call the house to see if it was an actual fire. Since I never had a real emergency, I tolerated it rather than shop for a new company or install a stand-alone alarm. The real torture came when I sold and closed on my house on 3/2/20. I called that day to cancel the service. They won't cancel until they transfer you over to the "Loyalty Department" where this drone reads a script to try to get you to move the service to your new home. Honestly, any reason or point you make about why you would not need the service, the rep simply went to the next bulletpoint in the manual. The guy, "Morgan", just would not quit. I finally let him read his whole script to me and said "Nope. Cancel." So the next month I get another bill from ADT. So I call again, and again get rolled over to the "Loyalty Department." I finally was so frustrated I insisted on speaking to a manager in the "Cancellation Department." After arguing with "Angie", I insist she give me a cancellation number, which she did. And the next month rolls around, the bill comes and now I'm 2 months overdue. This comes in email, but it's a no-reply email address. At this point I am DONE talking to their reps -- I am convinced that they are paid based on their retention rate, so if someone cancels, they just "lose" the paperwork. I went to their website and did the online chat. Twice. At least I got the second rep to confirm there had been no service to the house, but "Quentin" couldn't explain to me why I was still being billed. As soon as it got to the point where they need to transfer me to the "Cancellation Department", I get disconnected. Of course I saved the transcripts and have filed complaints with the FTC, the BBB. I am just warning the rest of you that their slick commercials in no way prepare you for the pain of subpar service and hellish, if not outright deceptive, customer support.
