The German Dog had a great combination of sauerkraut and spicy brown mustard, with plenty of topping in every bite. The corn dog was golden and crisp on the outside with a juicy hot dog inside. The real surprise was the pickle fries. They were crunchy, tangy, well seasoned, and especially good with the dipping sauce. The menu has a lot of creative choices beyond ordinary hot dogs, and the prices are very reasonable for the quality and portion sizes. The restaurant also has a welcoming, family-owned feel that makes the experience even better. A fun local spot with great food and plenty of personality. Let's see how this stop turned out. We were able to get a table during lunch time where there was a good crowd on hand. Since it was the 4th, I expected there would be a few more. The staff was pretty busy taking care of diners and orders ready for takeout. It was a little warm inside, but it wasn't a surprise given the weather was really hot. And there was a fan literally behind is blowing out much needed air. The special they had for the 4th was $2.50 corn dogs and $2.50 PBR beer. We said no to beer, but couldn't resist corn dogs. My order consisted of two of them and a small order of cheese curds. Sophia ordered two corn dogs and a Roadhouse hot dog. This was the first time in a long time I'me had corn dogs so I couldn't resist given the special. And boy did they deliver. I actually started to get full after eating my first one.
