Although (as so often with reconstruction) more problems due to leakage were discovered as the project progressed, leading to a longer project time than expected, I always felt I was in good hands. It turned out to be a leak that soaked two walls, and I had to find help fast. Oregon Restoration replied to me immediately while other companies took hours to respond. Their friendly office staff calmly walked me through what to expect in the process and sent help that day. Danny arrived right on time and was friendly, professional, and thorough. He let me look at his instruments as he assessed the extent of the damage, shared pictures with me, explained what they would do and helped me understand next steps. After that as I was traveling, he kept in contact with me to make sure I knew what was happening at home. He also worked with my roommates to help them understand what was happening and arrange work visits. Every person on his team was respectful and helpful, and they checked the progress of the drying process regularly. Danny worked with my insurance adjuster to make sure everything went forward smoothly. I found the team helpful, responsive, and diligent, and I've contracted with Oregon Restoration for the repair portion of this journey as well. Thanks so much Danny! I started with three bids and while I was waiting for the numbers to come in, I was really hoping Jaysons bid would be the best because he really impressed me when he came to my house to look at the space. He was incredibly helpful, insightful, and professional. I really appreciated his feedback about paint options, ways I could save money, getting a color consultation, and he even took the time to give me an ala cart bid so I could make choices that best fit my budget. When all three bids came in, his price was by FAR the best. I was happy with the price point and even happier with the crew he sent. The finished a fairly big job in one day and came to touch up and make it perfect a day later. Clean up was impeccable. Jason was really great about communication. I took time off from work and waited at my property for the technician to show up. after 30 minutes of waiting, i called Majic and the receptionist answered and said they would contact the technician. another 20 minutes of waiting, then I call again. the receptionist said that the technician got called out to an emergency job and would not be able to come to my property until later in the day....or the next day. I understand if someone has an emergency that needs resolution, but a simple phone call to me saying the technician wasn't going to show up would have been nice so I didn't have to leave work for nothing.

Premier was good at packing out our belongings, but the actual restoration work on our home was…read moreterrible. We've had to redo multiple things more than once. They sent non licensed electricians to perform electrical work, and afterward we had loose and faulty outlets in several places. When we raised concerns, they said they would not fix them. They also hired very low quality contractors for repairs. At one point, I asked for only the garage ceiling to be painted black, and instead they painted all of the interior ceilings in my home black. When I objected, they tried to convince me to keep it. They eventually repainted the ceilings back to the original color, but they did not even remove hardware like dome lights and door hardware, so black paint was still visible underneath. When they told us the house was ready to move back into, many things still did not work. The garbage disposal was clogged, the dishwasher was clogged, the washer and dryer were not connected or plumbed correctly, the bathroom ceiling fans were not working, the doorbell stopped working, the fridge ice maker stopped working, and new garage outlets they installed did not even work. They blamed some of this on pre existing issues, but these problems appeared after their work. I also found that they billed insurance for work that was not actually completed. About a year later, I discovered they had never installed attic insulation as claimed. They only came back to do it after I caught it. Later, when the dishwasher clogged again and overflowed through the air gap, I checked under the sink and found a large kink in the garbage disposal hose from an improper installation. This was another example of careless workmanship. Based on my experience, I would strongly recommend that anyone using this company inspect every claimed repair very carefully and verify that the work was actually completed. Good packing service does not make up for poor restoration work and questionable repair practices.
