Floors with Flair indeed have a nice selection of Linoleum and their Contractor did a nice job with the preparation. However, I was surprised to see the Linoleum pattern running different directions in each bathroom. I emailed the Sales Manager regarding my concern and sent photos of the work done. I received a follow up response below: Hello Jerry, Thank you for reaching out and giving us feedback on your flooring installation. Per industry standard and also the best and more economical way of installing your vinyl was running the pattern the same direction, which is what we did, running the pattern front to back vs both being ran differently. Horrendous experience. Imagine planning over 3 months in advance, spending over 25k to install floors, over 2 months of the physical installation, and 6 months to complete the project (due to ordering/inventory issues). The worst part is that the squeaks were not repaired before the install. 5 extremely loud joists in the most used locations of the house. We ended up hiring another contractor to pull up the floor and fix the squeak in one room that cost over 3k. If you like frustration and spending far more money than you need, go ahead and order from them and use their subcontractors. Or you can use a company that seamlessly bids, orders material and does the work from start to finish until you are 100% happy with the product. Up to you. 15 years ago Floors with Flair did the original carpet in our newly constructed home in Forest Grove, but just recently we decided to replace ALL the carpet in the house, Chris came over within 2 days of making the call, took measurements and the plan was set. An Office, Stairs, Hallways, Coat Closet, Bonus Room, 2 Kids Bedrooms, a Master Bedroom and Walk in Closet. Now the hard part, how to divide and conquer and play the shell game of moving furniture from room to room without running out of space. That's where Tim comes in, he was an excellent installer and worked with us over 4 separate visits to knock out 1-2 rooms per day which was a huge help to our family with the transition. He did an amazing job, efficient, paying close attention to detail and demonstrating a level of craftsmanship that was truly impressive. The care he took in ensuring every corner was perfect and every seam invisible speaks volumes about his dedication to quality. The end result was a stunning transformation of our space that will last another 15+ years. I cannot recommend Floors With Flair, Chris and Tim highly enough. The person they sent to cut and lay the sub flooring in the home did an absolute HORRIBLE job. There was no prep work done to protect the home from all the sawdust. The carpenter did not have the necessary tools to prevent sawdust from going throughout the home. They ended up sending a cleaning company (2) days after their contractor made a mess of our home. A week later they sent a countertop person out to replace our countertops. After asking their contractor not to slam our front door going in and out of our home, he proceeded to throw a temper tantrum out front of our home for our neighbors to see and hear. He ended up leaving the job, sink unhooked. They did not send another countertop installer for (2) weeks. New countertop person comes out, and proceeds to repeat the same mistakes as the carpenter who did the sub flooring. After spending a day in our home, we have (1) new countertop in place, sawdust covering everything in our kitchen, my garage is covered in sawdust as well because the installer felt it was appropriate to make cuts in the garage. We live in a HOA community and our back alley way has sawdust everywhere. Would never recommend using the contractors this company contracts through. They're completely unprofessional and have 0 regard for your personal property. read more

We had our main floor and carpeting done by Floors with Flair a little more than a year ago. We purchased the product there and had their contracted installers put it in to our home. We are very satisfied with the job they did. As a homeowner I've had quite a bit of contracted work done. For the most part, I have been happy, but sometimes a little less than happy. We had a great experience purchasing our stair runner. The sales person was so knowledgeable and helpful. He was able to give up so much useful information and advice on our purchase. He was great with helping with color and detail. I thought the purchase was a great value, especially knowing it will be a visual focus in our home. Worst customer service ever!! Nobody called or talked to us after the initial consultation. We waited a month for word from them. We then reached out to cancel and then were told the product was special order and no returns. We have not signed a single piece of paper other than the financing. They also charged us for the total install before the floors were completed. They completed the project yesterday and we have two late payment fees due to them charging us and not telling us. I would not work with Floors With flair if you want to be treated with respect and have open lines of communication. They have quite a selection of flooring to choose from, but that is where the positives stop. They struggled with scheduling, getting contractors to show up on time, and the contract ballooned in price as the wait for the job to be finished continued. Once they received payment they completely checked out on my needs. I had to make no less than a dozen calls to check on contractors, price, scheduling, etc. but apparently their phones don't work in reverse. If you expect professionalism and communication then look elsewhere. read more

Some of the rudest sales people I have encountered in the greater Portland area work at this store. We went in and I got the impression right away that we did not have the right level of expensive car we parked (we drove our older work-horse truck), clothing and designer handbags to warrant a polite response from any salespeople around. We had to ask for assistance, which was then one person asking another to help us, who gave us a up and down glace with our appearance seeming to not make the standard of some higher end Beaverton level of money they cater to and we were then passed onto a third sales person without anyone actually asking us what we wanted and why we were there. Their prices were on the higher end, you can find more affordable with the same quality at several other sites and this coupled with their lack of interest in us and general rudeness lead us to leave and spend over 15k with one of their competitors. read more

I am very disappointed with the quality of the installation of my carpet. My carpet seams are very noticeable . When I first brought this issue up to them, I learned that they do not use their own installers but hire third party installers and was told to address this issue straight with them and all they did to try to correct this used a hammer to try to bang the seams down, which did nothing to make it look better and then told that it would take time for them to go away, after over six months they are still noticeable! read more

BE AWARE--Additional needs and products discussed during inspection did not get specified on the "actual" quote so are not included or worse yet...cost extra. Their Justification. FWF do have excellent quality and samples of products which someone finally showed us during our SECOND visit into the store. Loved that we could take samples home to see up close with our décor. WORDS OF WISDOM...make sure you get all you are promised in writing. Chris (the owner) came out to measure and we discussed many areas and needs. Due to tile present he said he would quote with and without pressboard (might be needed). Seemed very thorough at the time, We received only ONE quote, crazy numbers so "assumed" this is the worst case. The quote was very extensive and "appeared" complete. We agreed and made our installation appointment. The crew was very professional and hard working. After $5600 the bedrooms look great the kitchen looks good things promised like replacing under the sink, kitchen seams in workable areas, new thresholds did not get done. Again be careful to make sure all you need and want is DETAILED on the estimate and double check that you are not charged for things not completed. read more

FWF has done our entire home. Years ago with the main traffic areas and rooms, recently with my office and our play room. Super easy to work with, great selection, very nice people who you can tell are interested. Great prices too. Their installers were fast, and clean as well. I don't have any issues with big box stores...but I prefer to spend $$ with locally owned businesses...and would refer FWF to anyone...every time! read more

Our experience started off amazing. The designer we worked with was patient, knowledgeable, easy to reach and replied to our e-mails promptly. We ended up purchasing tile back splash through them. We made our best guess as to how many tiles we needed and were made well aware that we would have a 33% restocking fee for unused tiles. After we received our product it took us about 30 days to complete our project. We ended up with one full extra unopened box of tile. When I went to return the box for a refund, minus the 33%, I was told no. Apparently there was a 20 day refund policy. This was news to me. Not once was this mentioned. Why they have this policy is a mystery. It's not like the tile expires! I contacted the actual tile manufacturer and they told me they did not have a time limit on returns. It's just too bad that they wouldn't work with us over one box of tiles. They had been so great until this became an issue. read more

I recently purchased engineered hardwood floors with installation from Floors with Flair in Hillsboro Oregon. I was extremely disappointed when installers with little or no experience showed up to do the job. The job was suppose to take 2 days it took 5 days spread over a 1 month time frame. The floor have scratches that we pointed out during the job but installers didnt fix then i was afraid to have them tear up floor because chance of damaging floor. They broke baseboards and nicked up painted walls severely. Overall they were not careful. We had to provide and lay down our own drop cloths to keep them from tracking in sawdust on our carpets. I do no reccommend this company. read more

We broke three tiles in my mother's house while replacing a kitchen sink. We looked everywhere for replacement tiles but was unsuccessful. Floors With Flair had something that was close and would work but we would have to buy a box of tiles when we only needed a couple. The gal who helped us was kind enough to order us a couple of sample tiles free of charge. This was excellent customer service and we will definitely go back to them for our tiling needs. read more

From the moment we walked into the show room we knew this was where we wanted to buy our new carpet. The sales lady was so patient and did a great job showing us what would be best for our situation. We picked out our carpet, we had estimate measure done within 3 days and quote returned to us in 4 days total. They were prompt with getting us scheduled and were right on time with the installation. I went to Floors with Flair looking for a very small piece of carpet for a repair. They did not have any small scraps for the carpet I was looking for but then took me to another part of the store where they showed me some small 1x1 pieces. One was close enough to what I needed to I selected it . . . . as I went up to the counter to pay I was told to just take the piece for free as it was not very large. Awesome! Many other places would have charge $10+ for a piece like that. Super friendly customer service - I will be coming back when I need more carpet! read more

We had a very small job; we wanted a piece of carpet to fit the back of our Ford Explorer when the seats were all folded down. The sales person quickly found a very reasonably priced, suitable remnant for us, and quoted us a very inexpensive price for cutting it to fit our vehicle. The gentleman who was going to cut it to fit the contour of the SUV asked us to make a template. Since both sides of the back had the same contour, my wife made a 1/2 template clearly marking the center as "center line" in several places. Our intent was to simply use the template on one side, then flip it over to do the other. The cutter wasn't working on the day we finished the template, so we just dropped it off. Several days later Floors with Flair called to say that the carpet was ready. When we got the carpet home we found that what we'd ended up with was a chunk of carpet to fit 1/2 of the back of the SUV, plus the remainder of the remnant we'd purchased. Since we'd stood in the parking lot and explained to the cutter that we wanted a chunk of carpet to fit the entire back, side to side, it seems that he should have been able to figure out how to use the template. Or maybe given us a call if he had questions. On the other hand, we didn't speak to him when we dropped the template off, nor did we leave detailed written instructions - simply the "center line" note on the template. Rather than complaining to Floors with Flair, we just ended up flipping the template and cutting the other side ourselves from the remaining remnant. We then joined the two halves on the back side using that universal cure-all, duct tape. The bottom line is that any recommendation we'd give Floors with Flair would include the strong caveat that you ensure there is no possible way for a misunderstanding to creep into the job. read more
