When we asked about custom rings, we were connected to designer Hosam. We discussed our visions, were walked through the process, and got confirmation that the rings could be created within our budgets. Hosam quickly sourced our diamonds. We got see them within 3 days of starting the process. He provided size options as well so we could pick the perfect ones. I was after a peach marquise stone, and Hosam found the perfect color right away. We got to look at different metals from their show room and see how our stones looked with each. His design drafts elevated our visions and made them even more unique and personalized. He was open to our adjustments and understood our particularities. My partner's vision for her prongs wasn't a safe and viable option. Hosam designed creative alternatives to achieve her desired look while ensuring her ring would be strong. When we received our final rings, Hosam created a special, emotional moment for us. Especially as a lesbian couple, it was extremely meaningful. We felt very comfortable with the entire team as a queer couple. Throughout the process, Hosam was very communicative, thoughtful, and efficient. We also really appreciate Hosam's expert opinion throughout the process, pointing out design, structure and aesthetic choices that we may not have considered. Went in trying to return earrings I changed my mind on two days prior by a nice younger man who works here. I checked out their site (it says they honor returns within 30 days) so I thought I'd be able to return them. I was met by two older gentleman who told me I could exchange not return. I browsed a little and I liked these earrings. When trying on, I noticed one earring was crooked. I told him and he had his colleague "fix it". I said I'd exchange the ones I got ($200) for these ($400), I inspected to make sure everything was okay when I realized these are poorly made, as you can see here. I told the man I'd keep the ones I purchased because for the price they should look the same. He replied "it's like that because the gold is flexible" lol what a joke. There's a nice variety of jewelry here but i don't think it's ethical to try to sell anything that is not in perfect condition. The other day I go to Alex's Jewellery to buy a Cuban chain. After about 30 mins I find one that I love. I don't negotiate a price, the lady straight up tells me $550. I tell her I'll be right back I'm going to the atm. I come back her boss says We can't sell this item to you for under $800. I'm confident this was a racial profiling at its best. It was extremely bad customer service and 100% do not recommend giving this company your business. I'm non problematic so I said what ever and walked away. read more

Rarely do I feel compelled to leave reviews, but Alex's Jewelry messed up my watch so badly that I have to warn others of the serious risks of bringing jewelry to them for repair. My Fossil watch was in otherwise great condition when I asked Alex's Jewelry to fix an issue with moisture getting inside. Hosam informed me that they could fix the moisture problem. However, after "fixing" it, the watch kept having the same problem. So I brought it back a second time. Yet the same issue happened again. So I returned a third time and when they presented my repaired watch to me, it had visible moisture beads inside. So Hosam told me that they'd send it out to their technician to fix. However, when it was returned to me, my watch's dial was severely chipped, the glass was badly scratched, and the date window was completely different in appearance. Hosam then tried to explain that I wasn't supposed to have seen the watch yet and that he was checking whether Fossil had an identical replacement dial (which they did not), though he told me that I would have to bear the cost of the new dial. He also asserted that the chipping was a common side effect of moisture repair and relinquished accountability for the scratched glass because their technician claimed that the scratches were there to begin with (in reality, the glass was in perfect shape when I brought my watch in). Hosam tried to mitigate the situation by refunding me $45 that I paid the first time to bring my watch in for repair. He also said that the value of a "new" motion the technician installed essentially offset the aesthetic damages to my watch. But just a few days later this new motion (which, according to Hosam, was an $80 value) completely stopped working. My watch is now chipped, scratched, and no longer tells time (i.e. completely unwearable), but no matter how much or how politely I asked Hosam to do just a little bit more to help make things right, he wouldn't budge. No, he told me, he wasn't going to cover a replacement dial. No, he wasn't going to fix the scratches on the glass. No, he wasn't going to refund me any additional money. In fact, he told me that he believed that Alex's Jewelry had done its best work. It is clear that Alex's Jewelry has no idea what they're doing in their handling of watches. Time and again I was astonished at their negligence. After months of patience, I feel truly robbed for the amount of time and effort required of me, not to mention the complete loss of a sentimental piece of jewelry. I strongly advise anyone who cares about their jewelry to think twice before patronizing this business. read more

I think the services from this store is good. But I can't say the same about their jewelry. My bf got me a very pretty ring for my birthday. It was a handmade ring with a square emerald stone in the middle with a bunch of little diamonds around it and on the band. I absolutely loved it. However, within the first day, a diamond fell out. My bf called the store, and they said right away they'd take care of it. Two weeks later, two more diamonds fell off, we brought the ring back and the store restored them free of charge. It was not until the third time another stone fell off that my bf got mad and demanded his money back. Even though the store agreed to redo all the stones, he felt like he was cheated on for a cheap ring that kept breaking. It was then the owner/manager got mad and refused to refund. He said the store only had a two week exchange period. And it was a month when we wanted the money back. I don't think the store policy applies on a product with defects. And because the ring was handmade, there wasn't a way to make another one. We are still in the process of disputing the transaction through the credit card. We exchanged (paid more) for another ring, but it's just different. The sentimental value of the first ring is lost even though I got a more expensive ring. I don't think my ring is an isolated case happened in this jewelry store. Read the other reviews from yelp and Google. I think when anyone is buying a ring, it means something special, whether it's a wedding ring, engagement ring, promise ring, or a gift. Anyone would want to make that experience perfect. We knew going in that we were going to be dealing in the shade. So, we weren't expecting 5 star treatment, but we were expecting good prices. Which is what we got. However, if you want what you want, I recommend going somewhere else. We picked out wedding bands. Good price. Loved them. We were told a couple of days and that we'd get a call when they're ready. They never called. We finally went in a week later and they had our rings. Or, well, what we thought were our rings. My fiancé tried his on and it fit and he put it away. I knew it wasn't the right ring. I tried mine on and knew it wasn't right. I went to look at the ring in the window and, sure enough, it wasn't the same ring. We told the tall guy in glasses it wasn't right and his response was, "It's better!" It doesn't matter what you think! It's not what we picked out!! So, he found 2 rings that one fit my man and the other was too tight for me. He said he could stretch it. He tried. It worked slightly but resulted in a dent in the ring that he then tried to sell me. We said no. And he said ok, I can have your sizes in a week. We just went back today and he immediately, as we walked in the door, apologized and said sorry my guy couldn't get it and it's going to be 2 or 3 weeks. What?!?! We are getting married Friday!! It's Sunday!! He then offered a refund of which he didn't know the price of the rings! I had to scroll through my bank statements to find the charge to tell him. He refunded us and then refused to give us the original receipt! To which he then ripped up in front of me. Now listen, we knew exactly what we were doing walking in there. That's not the issue. The issue is that you're pretending to be some kind of fancy jeweler and you can't live up to the hype! These people are shady and will do whatever they need. I implore you to not spend your money here unless you just need a watch sized or a battery replaced. Don't spend your money here if it means anything to you. read more

A friend of mine suggested I try them out so I made the trip to Queens. These folks are beyond professional. They treat the clients like family. This is one place I recommend if you have to pick up something special and not just something you'd find in the case at Sears. I bought a tennis bracelet for my wife from them and the appraisal value was more than twice what I paid. If you're looking for quality diamonds this is the place. I went here to get the batteries on a couple watches replaced. The customer service was fine but after I had already left the store I realized they had scratched up the back of my watches while taking out the batteries. This is not acceptable in my book seeing as how my watches are designer, but this is not something that they can even fix.
