This is my second experience with OKG and I was again very pleased. First time, I had a very old ring that needed TLC. They spotted it's age and uniqueness right away. They gave it the care and respect it needed and it came out looking better than I ever expected. This time around, I had lots of pieces and lots of questions. I was charged $47.90 to replace 3 watch batteries. Am I crazy to think replacing a battery that takes just a few minutes shouldn't cost $16?? While changing my brother's battery they messed up the chronograph and tried to say that there was something wrong with the watch and wanted to charge him more to assess the issue. My brother refused and they said they would take back the battery to which my brother had to tell them that we already paid for the battery and he would not be giving it back to them. He went home and did a few minutes of Googling and fixed the problem himself. read more

I cannot recommend enough! My engagement ring was my grandmothers from the 40s. It needed some major repairs and to be sized. They talked me through every issue they spotted and provided me with recommendations and accurate quotes before proceeding. My ring is extremely sentimental to me, so they allowed me to watch the ENTIRE process from start to finish behind the counter including going downstairs to their workshop. Every stage of the repair process was explained and demonstrated along the way. I wish I took before pictures because it was in rough shape, and now it looks like a brand new ring! After we resolved the problem with the ear, we needed to find an earring that would not cause another infection and super quick or my daughter's earring holes would have closed. For those of you who don't know about nickel allergies, nickel is in 14k gold. As you know, this is the most common metal, but this wouldn't work for her. We would have had a very sad little girl if we couldn't find earrings for her in time and her holes closed. Well, Osana and her sister put their heads together and came up with a brilliant solution! Their brother and father were able to change the post on the little huggie hoop earrings they had ordered for us to a platinum post. New earrings = one very happy pretty little girl! No more swelling or infections = one happy Mama! In addition to new pieces, they will also repair, revitilize or reinvent your current pieces if you so desire. Ladies...they will always remind you to check the stones in your rings too to make sure they are secure and clean them at the same time. My Mom's stone actually came out of her engagement ring. She was lucky and found the stone. Again, OKG redesigned the setting and reset the stone. I was shocked her stone came out, but they will be the first to tell you how common it is to lose a stone. My fiancé met Gary several years back through friends, so when the time came for him to buy the ring everyone swore to my fiancé that Gary was not only the best guy but also the best jeweler. My fiancé went through hundreds of stones with Gary to find one right one. My fiancé chose a brilliant 2 karat F color stone. He temporarily had it mounted on a 6 prong Tiffany setting so that I could design the setting later on. I went back to Gary with some ideas. Gary designed exactly what I pictured in my mind but better. Gary created an eternity u prong engagement band with a sleek 4 prong mount. He also designed the matching wedding band so that they can be worn together to compliment one another. Both rings can also be worn separately and still dazzle. It's a classic design and we are so happy that Gary was able to bring this vision into reality. He is incredibly knowledgeable, skilled in this trade and has a creative eye. This review is so long overdue but I could not pass up writing a review for OKG Jewelry! I went shopping with my significant other because I had minimal knowledge on diamond cuts and did not know what style I wanted. They were extremely patient with me throughout the process of figuring out what style ring I wanted, which was very important to me. I did not feel rushed and I trusted their opinions and appreciated when they had one. They were not pushy even when we decided we needed an additional visit to really figure out what ring was for me! We got engaged on 11/30/19. My first reaction was that the ring was so shiny and beautifully custom made. I brought an antique watch to this store to have a latch added to it. I told them that I knew it would be impossible to match the latch but I was willing to be flexible. She sounded quite negative about fixing it. I also wanted a new battery for another watch--- my DKNY watch. I nearly fainted when she charged me $12 for the battery. I've never paid more than $6 for a watch battery. Then, the jeweler said he could fix the latch on my antique watch but it would be difficult. It would cost $45 because it would take a lot of work. When I heard that, I took it to my regular jewelry store in Lake Success to get an estimate. I got a quote for $15 to add the latch and it was done in less than 10 minutes. Good as new! I also asked if she had flexible watch bands. She showed me some cheap stainless steel ones and I was looking for sterling silver so I passed. I thought she would have better quality. By the way, when I was in there, I noticed that they give out cards asking for a review. You get $15 off your next purchase if you do so. read more
