Received a call back right away, next day on site free estimate. Andres was very polite and was open to my suggestions, while also offering his professional opinions. A few days later he arrived early morning with a coworker, and spent 10 hours building the custom fence. As the cement was very uneven, with different angles and sloping in different directions, they constructed the metal base and cut the wood to make everything look even. They removed the old chain link fence, and tidied up when all the work was done, handing me the keys to the gate. I was very happy with the quality of the work. The estimate was in line with other companies, but I didn't feel rushed when discussing the type of fence I wanted, vs the hard sell two other companies pushed at me. Beware. We asked them to write a contract for reinstalling and painting an iron fence for us. They told me to write the contract. I asked them for their legal company name, address and tax id number, they told me to find it on Yelp. I asked them for a copy of their insurance God forbid a worker gets hurt while working on the iron fence, they told me they didn't need to give me their insurance. They wanted a 50% cash payment the day before starting the project, saying we can trust them because of their Yelp reviews. I cancelled a $6,000 verbally agreed job with them because of all the red flags above. I would be highly suspicious of a "company" with all the red flags we ran into above, be warned. read more
