I have been wanting to get my car windows tinted for a while. I know it's not a cheap endeavor and I wanted to make sure I do my research. I reached out to several places around Culver City, but also in the South Bay. I'd def recommend reaching out to multiple places and getting quotes. I used the "Request a Quote" CTA on Yelp and got several responses. I landed on Alex Window Tint due to response, ratings (both on yelp and Google Reviews) and cost. My communication with Alex was all via email & he clarified options and I could make my appointment. My car windows looks GREAT! I was walked through all the options once I showed up. There are examples you can look at and I highly recommend doing so, especially if it's your first time getting windows tinted (like I did). I selected 20% ceramics for the rear and 35% ceramic for the front windows. For me, this is perfect. It was $350. There is a 9% credit card fee, but if you pay cash, you can safe the 9%. I had gotten my windows tint about a year ago. When I payed I was told the windows had lifetime warranty. I noticed a few days ago the drivers window had 2 small circles, when I took my car today they were telling me I had hit the window with the seatbelt. I could prove that the seatbelt does NOT reach the high, even if I throw it purposely. This is a new car and in good condition besides I take care of my car. They said the warranty didn't cover that. i'm not sure if my standards are too high? it didn't meet my expectations. my windshield and rear window have clusters of micro bubbles (and a couple of swirly areas) which are near the edges, so i'm not sure if it's worth having it redone. i pointed out a few random micro bubbles in my driver side window and was told there's no way to get it perfect. (another reason i'm hesitant to have these clusters fixed) price is great compared to another highly rated place i checked out. this film is maybe not as high end as the other place, but i prefer this color to the other place which has a browner hue. interior is cooler and overall the car looks sharp. love the lifetime warranty (just make sure to keep your paperwork in the glovebox for life of car so u don't lose track of it). if it still bothers me in a year i can go back and get it fixed. read more

Got windows tinted on a new Tesla Model Y. Got the ceramic tint on all side and rear windows, as well as on the glass roof. Previously, with the stock Tesla tint, the car got really hot, especially with the glass roof. I immediately noticed the change in temperature with the ceramic tint as compared to the regular tint. As far as Alex Window tinting, they were very easy to deal with and their prices are very good (I called multiple places and they were the best price, especially for ceramic). The people there are very knowledgeable and it is clear that they know what they are doing. Their tints come with lifetime warranty which provides me with a high level of comfort. The tint on the glass roof was the hardest part (one piece for the entire ceiling), but it was done perfectly. I highly recommended using these guys. Very good and efficient.
