I hate that I have to write this review as been going to Alex Window Tint for 2 years now.. He's worked on 3 of my cars in the past and has done good business by me when things were going well. But how a person acts and chooses to do business when they make a mistake is where Yelp! really benefits the entire community. Today I brought my 2021 BMW M4 (with under 3k miles) for window tint removal (previous owner had it installed and I'm not a fan of window tint on Sports cars) and while I was there I asked Alex if he could also remove a stock carbon fiber trunk spoiler, since I had recently purchased a different one that provided a more aggressive look. Alex confirmed that he could remove the spoiler and accepted the paid job to do it. When I picked up the car Alex 'forgot' to give me back the trunk spoiler. I then call him when I got home (after I realized it wasn't in my trunk) and had to drive back to his shop to retrieve it. He then hands me the spoiler and I look it over and immediately see it is cracked down the middle. I disappointedly pointed the crack out to Alex and he quickly says that he was only 'doing me a favor' by accepting the job and then tried to claim that I brought it to him like that. I absolutely did not bring the lip cracked to him and I communicated just that to him by showing him pictures and videos of the lip from THE DAY BEFORE. He then sees the images I show him and how the lip was NOT cracked. He then admits that he might have cracked it, but says he was only doing me a favor anyways. I then ask him what in his mind is a fair way to resolve this and I said I felt that he should not charge me for the removal of the spoiler and removal of the window tint. He acted as if that request was crazy of me to ask and said the most he could do is give me a discount on future window tint. LOL. I feel that I was very fair in giving Alex a way out and he chose to stand his ground and not accommodate me in anyway. Shame on him as a business owner. What's most disappointing is that Alex is taking ZERO responsibility for not carefully removing the trunk spoiler on a job that he accepted and was paid to do.. and now I have to file a credit card dispute and unfortunately this YELP! review. read more

I looked around on Yelp for window tinting on my 21 Porsche Macan and found Alex Window tint. They had good reviews and what else can you go by but the reviews right? The price was competitive ($120 for windows) and I was able to get in for an appointment the following week. I only needed the two front windows that needed tint, I simply wanted them to match the back so, nothing super dark or upgraded. They were easy to find and were very busy when I arrived. I checked in and noticed a waiting room with a tv, coffee machine and a couch. I opted to take a walk around the neighborhood while they worked on my car instead of eating since there were already a few people in the room. My dog & I went exploring around the neighborhood and got back about 40 minutes later. Lucky for us, all the people were gone from the waiting room and my car was in the process of getting tinted. I headed to the waiting area and watched tv for a while then about half hour later a lady came in and asked how I was going to pay. *FYI- no discount for cash* It's always worth asking because sometimes, you'll get a slight discount if you use cash instead of a card, any money saved is a plus! Since that wasn't the case here, I used my card and noticed they had pulled my car back out to the parking lot. She said they were all done and I thanked her then loaded up my pooch and off we went. The staff wasn't talkative more like, "keep your head down and work" which is what it is, I guess. It's always a positive when the staff anywhere is personable but I suppose they just want to get people in and out- no time for chit chat. Thats how it felt anyway. I noticed bubbles in the tint as well as the tint not covering the entire window and brought it back 2 weeks later. They told me it was a small window (smaller triangular window in front of the big window) and was impossible to get 100% covered as well as normal to get micro bubbles. Hmm... I've never had that happen in any of my other cars (I get a new car every 2-3 years and ALWAYS get the windows tinted) but yeah, ok. I didn't want to even try and have them redo it, although it was something that irritated me every time I'd see the sliver of window that wasn't covered by the tint every time I looked at either window. Although the price was decent, that's not enough for me to go back with any cars in the future. I'd definitely go to the other place I yelped about (see reviews). To this day, no bubbles and no BS from the other spot. Alex Window Tint was decent at best. The excuse I was given about "not being able to get the perfect fit to the window" (leaving part of it not tinted) and how "bubbles are normal"... I beg to differ, it's never happened on any of my other cars. But hey, at least they have a good waiting area! Lol read more

The carbon tint is what I got!(ceramic was recommended) but I ended up doing the carbon! I had to give them 5 stars on service and speed, I would highly recommend to anyone interested in this place. Avoid this place. Worst purchase I've made. Brought my car for window tinting and final film had a wet and wavy appearance. I returned and received such terrible service. The guy claimed he couldn't see what I was seeing and blamed it on my glasses. I calmly explained my wife sees the problem as well and she doesn't have glasses. I pointed at air bubbles, since that's pretty easy to spot, and the guy told me that this was normal. I tried to get a refund which he denied. He again said he couldn't see the issue and blamed my glasses again. I lost my money, so hoping I can help others reconsider as there's no value here. I got my car tinted here and Alex said to do the back. I ended up getting a terrible glare day and night and brought it back. They wanted to charge me to remove the film. You would think after doing this work for many years, they wouldn't advise the back window. They finally did remove the back window film, but their worker Johnny used the rags I had in my trunk and left it inside a reusable bag. Also, tons of the chemical they used leaked into my trunk.
