My first (and probably last to be honest since I have no plans to switch to a different practice) experience with a chiropractor was with Alexander Chiropractic! I actually met them through a Yelp Elite event and had the opportunity to bring my husband so he could get adjusted too. This was in the beginning of November 2023 and I've been going to the Livermore location every week since then! I currently see Dr. Chris Saincome as he was fortunately the one paired with me for the Yelp event; he shared that he's worked with multiple pregnant clients, and I myself was in my 2nd trimester. He did a few simple adjustments (and explained that my pelvis was uneven so one leg was longer than the other...??), and I felt relief in my lower back that I didn't even realize was creeping in there. I started with 2-3 times a week, and I now go once a week! I am pretty certain these visits are the only reason why I haven't had any back pain or aches my entire pregnancy (I am now 33 weeks). My husband also goes with me and has felt a huge difference since we both work desk jobs. Huge shoutout to Dr. Breanna Murphy who started shadowing Dr. Saincome and is now accepting new patients I believe. She is so sweet and gives the best stretches! I will be returning for consistent visits postpartum as well, and I recall the youngest patient they've adjusted is 4 weeks old...chiropractic care is wild. With my Kaiser insurance, I had a $15 co-pay (with limited visits) and with my Blue Shield insurance, I have a $25 co-pay (with unlimited visits). Last year, I had my first experience with back pain after a horseback riding accident. I jumped off the horse and hurt my back. I went to a nearby chiropractic center for three months of treatment, and I felt like I had recovered well, so I didn't think much about it afterward. But then in February of this year, my 10-month-old golden retriever accidentally pulled my back while I wasn't paying attention. This time, I couldn't get out of bed for two weeks and had to rely on painkillers for about two and a half months. During this period, I visited three different chiropractic centers, but none of them gave me the relief I was hoping for. My husband then found Alexander's clinic online, which was conveniently located near my workplace. From our first conversation, I could tell that Alexander was very knowledgeable, and the clinic was fully equipped. I was planning to go back to my home country for treatment, but Alexander suggested I try a three-month treatment plan with him. I decided to follow his advice and went in twice a week. At that time, my spine was severely misaligned, and the nerve pain in my right leg was constant, making every day a struggle. But after each session with Alexander, I noticed that my pain wasn't as intense, and my sleep started to improve. I stuck with the treatment for the full three months, and when we checked my X-rays afterward, my spine had mostly returned to its proper alignment. The noticeable bump on my back was gone, and I could finally sleep on my back again.
