I have been a patient of Dr. Mora's for many years, off and on. Due to horrible genetics, I have numerous and severe problems with my neck and lower back. I have tried other ways of dealing with my pain, using prescribed medication, OTC meds, massage, physical therapy and acupuncture, but none of them brought me relief when I've had some horrible flair ups. Dr. Mora just happened to come shopping in the store where I work and he noticed that I kept shaking and flicking my hands. He asked why and I told him that it often felt as if my hands and arms had "fallen asleep" and felt numb. He invited me to come see him at his office, to see if he might be able to help me. I was sick and tired of feeling bad and since nothing else had improved my symptoms, I decided to meet with him. First of all, he would not touch me until he did x-rays. That was important, because without knowing exactly what was going on with my neck and back on the inside, any adjustments he might have made, could have possibly exacerbated my condition. Once he had that information, he spent time educating and explaining to me, the reasons for my pain and numbness. Up until that point, I had never known that the symptoms in my hands and arms, actually originated from the problems in my neck. He was honest and realistic about the level of relief he felt he could help me achieve. From the very first adjustment I felt better! I continued to see him for regular appointments and finally, my symptoms were gone, completely. Years went by and life went back to normal for me. Fast forward to July of 2014. I had just moved into a new home. I did all the work by myself. Many trips back and forth, packing and loading my truck, then unloading and unpacking. That ended up triggering another episode for me. But this time, the pain was so bad that it would wake me up in the middle of the night. I remember clutching my knees up to my chest, rocking back and forth and moaning. I was in agony. It felt like I had burning hot coals in my arms. I knew right away what the problem was and I called Dr. Mora again. He told me to come in immediately and I began another round of adjustments for my neck. Like before, I felt noticeable relief, right away. I continued receiving care and support until I felt like I was in the clear and life went back to normal. So now it's March of 2021 and here I am again, experiencing problems with my neck. It was a perfectly benign activity. All I did, was stand at my gardening table for a couple of hours on a Sunday, then for an hour on Monday. But, I was looking down during this time and that was all it took. By Tuesday, I was in real trouble again. I could not raise my head more than a couple inches off my right shoulder. I had to hold that impossibly uncomfortable and unnatural position, because if I lifted my head up straight, I got a stabbing pain down my left arm that was so bad, it took my breath away. I needed Dr. Mora's help again. I called the office and was told to come right over. It took a couple weeks this time, for me to recover and I am still in need of treatment. Alas, the condition of my neck has only degraded further over the years and there is no magic to turn back the hands of time. But considering how fragile my neck is, I am actually extremely lucky. I am fortunate and blessed, that there is a doctor who is so experienced and knowledgeable, whom I can turn to in times of crisis. Over the many years I have gotten to know Dr. Mora, I can tell you that he sincerely cares about the well being of his patients, as a whole. He hosts regular gatherings at his office and patients are invited to come spend some time learning about topics related to a healthy lifestyle. He offers a home cooked meal or snack, which he makes himself. He is warm and welcoming as he discusses things like nutrition, stress management, exercise, etc. And he does not charge anything, if you want to attend. No pressure, no sales pitches. I realize that it sounds as if I have put this man on a great big pedestal, but I swear, every great thing I've written about him, is true. Dr. Mora also has an amazing staff. The young ladies I have had the pleasure of dealing with on the phone, or at the front desk, are courteous and professional and helpful. The office and waiting room area are clean and comfortable, as are the treatment rooms. Even the restroom is clean and nice. By the way, I have noticed that there is always a pretty bouquet of fresh flowers at the front desk or on a table. Nice touch. The people and the energy at this office are consistently positive. Upon my most recent round of appointments, I learned that there is now an app which patients can download ( for free, of course ). This app makes scheduling (or changing) my own appointment, or leaving a message, very simple. I would highly recommend Dr. Mora for anyone that might benefit from chiropractic care and support.
