I called Alexander because they came highly recommended and have what seemed like great reviews. I cannot speak to their print quality. The day I called I was in a pinch because the other company I'd planned to use fell through, so I was trying to figure out what my options were, as I needed a small order done for a charity event. And it wasn't even my event! The woman I talked to on the phone was so rude and snooty, informing me haughtily that they were a custom shop, as though anyone in a bind was not worthy of their time. She also could not answer any of my questions. It seems other dissatisfied potential customers have encountered her as well. Why is she even answering the phone if she's going to be rude and doesn't know anything? I was also in the market to have some very high end, custom printing done within the next few weeks, requiring ongoing work in the future. Not that it matters to them, but they made it so that I have one less company to consider. read more

Very disappointed with this place, my cousin and his wife got their invitations here and recommended it so I called to make an appointment. First off the lady on the phone was rude, and couldn't get me in until 4 weeks out, on top of that I had to pay a $40 consultation fee and that wouldn't even go towards my purchase! I decided against it and found a better place closer to my home where I did NOT have to make an appt and didn't have to pay a fee for their time drafting something up for me. I definitely will not recommend this place to others and will never use them. read more

Dropped off 150 labels to these guys, emailed them a template to set up which should've taken about five minutes because they already had the design on file. I asked for 75 of one, and 75 of another. Just picked up the box of labels that I supplied which I was charged $.40 per page, and a $37.50 set up fee. Even though I had an number of sheets per box, Somehow they managed to put 40 in one, and 110 in the other. $106.96. I will never go to this place again. read more

My wedding venue covered the fee for invitations and their recommended vendor is Alexander Printing Company. I wasn't really sure what to think when I first got there, because it just looks like, well, a print shop. Not exactly a place that's going to make fancy wedding invitations. Well, looks are deceiving because they did a great job! They have a huge book if invitation styles to choose from, but you have the ability to customize somewhat as well (particularly in terms of wording, font color, etc.). We ordered both our save-the-dates (made using a few of our engagement photos) and invitations, and both turned out awesome. Multiple people complimented me on them both. I also loved the suggestion of including, "We have reserved X seats in your honor" as a way to let people know exactly how many in their family were invited. I hadn't thought of that but Jessica suggested it, and it worked out really well to avoid confusion of, "Can I bring my uncle's wife's daughter's dog?" or "Can I bring my ten children?" read more

I was so impressed with the level of service I received from Alexander Printing. They were a recommended vendor for my wedding invitations, so I thought, why not? I should at least meet with the designer. She was so wonderful to work with. What started out as a very simple design turned into a completely elegant wedding invitation all with a change in paper and font. I was at first pleasantly surprised at the high quality materials and pricing at Alexander's. We had been looking for weeks at different places trying to find out where to print our wedding invitations, and we were amazed with what we were able to find in their store. Their staff was always friendly, courteous, and even kept the store open for a few extra minutes one time to let us look at the invitations after I had driven up from Portland that day. We had the design, paper, and wording all worked out based on the examples that were in the store, and were excited to get everything printed. This was in mid-late February. We had been in to the store multiple times previously looking at invitations, and the staff had mentioned a design meeting needing to be done, but the feeling when we went in was that it didn't need to be set up when we visited first in late January (2 months before wedding invites were to be sent out). When we went in to set up a designer meeting we were shocked that the meetings were only on Thursdays and Fridays, and now they were booked two months out. We now had to find another printing service and another design to get invites out on time. This made the already stressful process of planning our wedding even worse, now having to scramble to get things done on time. Had the staff mentioned the meetings were booked out so far, I would have had nothing but positive things to say about Alexander's. Had they mentioned this in our initial encounter we would have been able to get this done in time. However, this little detail had profound effects on our experience getting wedding invitations ready, and made the process immensely more stressful. I also see now on these reviews that they were able to do last minute invitations for other customers, which makes this experience even more frustrating given my experience described above. read more

I emailed her about my Picky wedding invitations, and she not only has responded to all of my messages very quickly, but she also took time to write me detailed responses to allllll of my questions, even offering several options for getting me what I want despite the company not carrying them in stock. But we gave them a call and met with Jessica for our STD and wedding invitations. She has lots of great ideas and examples. So far she is very accommodating and open to our ideas. I've resisted writing a review on Yelp for several years, but the service I've received from Alexander Printing has been so outstanding that I have finally given in and created a profile. Alexander Printing was a vendor associated with my wedding venue, The Monte Cristo Ballroom. We received discounted rates on their services for wedding save-the-dates and invitations. Off the bat, one would assume that with any discounted service you may get less than stellar service. This was certainly not the case. Jessica was the graphic designer assigned to our account and from day one, she was so incredibly helpful and pleasure to work with in developing our vision. I've worked with a number of vendors throughout my wedding planning process, and by far, I looked forward to my emails from Jessica. She was prompt, and barely needed additional explanation of my vision from my email requests. She worked at lightning speed, but more importantly, she set expectations appropriately. If she was going to be gone or was a bit swamped, she told me ahead of time. She has exceeded my expectations every time. The quality of their product matches the customer service. While there isn't embossing options or any of the trendier items you see now in invitations, throughout our consultation, Jessica suggested a number of options I could do to 1. Save money 2. Save on time and 3. Give my invitations that extra special DIY touch. There were even instances when she dissuaded me from a pricier option of printing on their machines and shared some tips that helped me save a bundle. Another great example of Alexander Printing and specifically Jessica's great customer service is when my mother had a last minute printing request. She wanted a fairly complex insert to the invitations. I was down to the wire, and Jessica pulled through by creating another beautiful piece! I've received inquiries on Alexander Printing from guests all the way in Boston that are getting married, to countless girlfriends that are engaged her in the Washington area. My name is Ilene and I work for a local non profit. I recently was in need of a laminated copy of an aerial view of a local school field. I called and spoke to Nancy. She asked that I email her the image and the size I was looking for. I needed at least a 24 x 36 sized map. I emailed her the image and she called back to say the image was pretty pixilated and did I have another image. I told her I did not. Within a couple of hours she had found a better image and couriered it over to my office for me to look at, no charge. I was so delighted as I did not expect this. It looked great I called to thank her and within a couple of hours from my call the original was delivered to my office. Now granted my office is also located in Everett but what impressed me was that they just took the initiative to first find a better image and second, to make sure I had it as I was on a tight deadline. Not to mention the cost was less expensive than the other 3 places I called. Brett, Nancy, Jessica and the rest of the crew here are amazing.
