Do not book with Jacklyn. I told her repeatedly that my hair doesn't hold curls. She kept blaming it on me and saying that my hair was dead and crispy and what not and saying it wouldn't curl. She then brushes out my curls and redoes my hair and blames it on the picture I showed her. She then trims my dead ends, I don't really put much mind into that, but it just shows that she doesn't know how to do handle hair correctly. She also just talked the entire time, and I believe that it affected the process since it felt like she was not paying attention to what she was doing to my hair. Then when we make small talk she puts down all my ideas and basically talks about her ideas. Comparing us, you can just agree lady. My photos turned out like trash. The cost was supposed to be 45$. If you're looking for professionalism, this is not the place. Mireya spends more time rushing clients than actually listening to what they want. She turns you away from the mirror the entire time, so you don't even get to see what's happening until it's too late probably because she knows the results often don't match what was requested. My mom's highlights came out nothing like what she asked for, and when she politely texted afterward to get them corrected, Mireya got defensive instead of owning the mistake. The lack of communication is just as bad. She never confirmed my appointment time, ignored messages for days, and then suddenly canceled on me the day of claiming she "didn't like the way my mom acted" even though my mom was nothing but respectful and involving her personal feelings toward my mom against me whom had nothing to do with what happened . If Mireya can't handle simple feedback without taking it personally, maybe customer service isn't the right field for her. We'll be going somewhere that actually values clients. read more

I've been following Iliana for years and was pleasantly surprised when she landed at Alexander's Arman Salon & Spa in Corona/Riverside. This salon houses dozens of incredible cosmetologists and estheticians. Services range from hair cuts to brows, facials, and nails. Iliana specializes on all things hair, but really shines when it comes to coloring, toning, balayage, etc. Her private studio sits in the left-front corner of the salon and offers both a luxurious and relaxing feel. I love how secluded the space is since I tend to treat my hair appointments like therapy sessions. In the past few years Iliana has given my hair chocolatey undertones, highlights, balayage, and recently brought me to a dark brunette. I've loved each cut/style better than the last. She always exceeds my expectations. Besides my go-to cosmetologist, the biggest perk of the salon is their onsite eatery. Our Happy Place Cafe serves coffee, smoothies, breakfast items, salads, sandwiches, burritos, and more. I've found that a light snack/bevvy is the perfect combination to a 2+ hour hair appointment. Okay, this was my second time here. The first time, it was good. This second time, I called and asked for a Saturday appointment. The owner said I'd have a great person, Ruby, and that she was great w her cuts. It was SO bad. My cut was incredibly choppy. My front sections of hair are longer than the bottom/back portion of my hair!!! Very clear when my hair it all parted forward over my shoulders. Additionally, I asked for face framing/curtain bangs and what I got was NOT that!!!! It was so bad I told Ruby it looked bad. She kept cutting and cutting and couldn't fix it. She eventually had to call over another stylist (Jackie I believe) so come over and "fix" it. Even then, SO CHOPPY!!!! See pictures for reference. I wonder if it was because Ruby kept answering phone calls while cutting my hair from her boyfriend, and that's why the cut was so horrible. Never coming back her again. I'm incredibly upset. I'm a busy mom who rarely takes time for herself for things like a haircut. I called this salon because they're near my house and had good reviews. I called in specifically asked that I wanted someone who is good at haircuts and I even said if there's like a master stylist or someone who specializes in cuts. The person they put me with is not someone who answers and cuts they're more of a color person and she didn't do my color which I found to be decent but my cut was a complete train wreck and it is seriously horrible I am so unhappy. I just took a shower and let my hair dry and this is what I am left with. There's just no way you can say that's a good cut. I would have been better off at a fantastic Sams or hair school. EDIT: Spoke to the owner. Immediately she was concerned with her Online reviews (not my situation). It was the first words out of her mouth. Didn't bother to look at the picture I posted and told me to come in so she can "take a look" at my cut and "potentially" place with me another stylist. I'm sorry that's not how it works. I'm telling you the cut is terrible, I don't need you to look at it and tell me if it is or not. I know you care about your reviews, but you need to care about clients first. It was extremely evident she could care less about me by the way she talked to me and was definitely interested in getting me to take my review down. Let me start off by saying this review has nothing to do with my stylist. She's phenomenal and a rare talent. This salon is beyond lucky to have her and her crew. However, the current shampoo and conditioner being used at the bowls is absolutely the cheapest dollar store type of product. I cannot fathom why any owner of such a nice salon would purchase such a product. It's NOT A PROFESSIONAL PRODUCT. Literally found it on Amazon! It's appalling to me, that it is being forced on the stylists. Most are buying their own product because it's so bad. I thought they were being dramatic, but when my stylist washed me out I could feel and smell the difference immediately. I asked to be rewashed with anything else she had. I've been having my hair done at a salon since I was 16 years old and I have never experienced such a cheap product being used on my hair. Very disappointing. A salon of this size should be using ONLY professional products. My hope is that the owner or management sees this and acts accordingly. read more

Called Friday for two mani & pedis for Saturday at 11am the receptionist asked for my name and number that they would call me back in 15 min, never did! Next day Saturday again I call, tell them "I called the day before for an 11am appointment for the next day and I didn't receive a call back." They ask for my name and number again lol but this time they call back and offered us a 1 o'clock appointment and it seemed as if they where doing us a favor. ‍ (BTW I called at 10:30 while I waited for the return call from the receptionist, I called Metro Nail Lounge and got a 11am appointment for two Mani Pedis (one full set and gel polish on feet, not cheap) We just moved to Corona Hills from West Corona and was looking for a closer higher class salon that does hair nails and waxing but that was low class service not returning my call on Friday then offering a 1pm appointment on Saturday. Just shows the type of customer service to be seen in the future. No Thank You I will keep going to Metro Nail Lounge for my mani pedis and waxing services, they serve Mimosas with your services. PS. Since moving to Eastvale, heck, California, I have not had much success with finding the RIGHT hair salon. Note that with the pandemic and having a baby, I have NOT done anything with my hair in 3 years. 3 years ! So, my husband was sweet to schedule a mani / hair cut / color appointment for my birthday. This was my first time coming to this location. For one, the place is HUGE ! It has its own cafe inside (Happy Place); which by the way, does NOT disappoint at all. I got my nails done by Connie. Connie is super kind, patient and really focuses on the quality of her work versus anything else. She was honest in what she could do yet assuring that I walk away happy. After some good discussion and grooming, my nails looks pretty ! I normally go for a brighter, more striking look for my nails but decided to go for a more subtle, fall vibe look. I very much love looking at them !! Ruby is doing my hair. I showed her a picture of what I was wanting and looking for. She did not question it nor make it difficult. She worked with me and was very excited to do my hair. You have no idea how excited I was especially because it takes a lot to entrust anyone with your hair (especially with the head of hair I have!!) I loved how enthusiastic she was throughout the entire appointment. Needless to say, I am excited to see how it turns out and what the people around me think of this new, bold look. More than anything, my confidence is back in full form !! IF I had to choose one thing I did not like was the bit of confusion there was when I arrived. However, that is understandable with the volume of people they have here. And even then, everyone was pretty accommodating. I will be back ! Thank You ! read more
