    Raspberry Vanilla Latte
    Megan B.

I went to this coffee shop for the first time today and I'm hooked I walked in and immediately was greeted by 2 friendly ladies. They helped me navigate their menu with a wide variety of options! They have so many flavors, drinks, and even treats! I ordered the Raspberry Vanilla Iced Latte and it was the BEST!! Might I also add, very affordable! You can tell that love and effort was poured into the drink! Would be the perfect cozy, quiet coffee shop to study or read

Necie was immediately welcoming which was refreshing. I wanted to try something new so I went with the baristas choice which is when she ask you questions and comes up with a drink. I ended up with a white chocolate and macadamia latte hot with oat milk that was very good. I had never had macadamia and the coffee overall was a very good flavor. They had macaroon for sale, that were limited from an event they had. I had blood orange I also had never had a macaroon before and I'll be okay to not try them again it wasn't for me. But they were cutely decorated and had different flavors from a local business name lilys macaroon.

Cutest new coffee shop! Opened in November 2022 and I'm so sad I'm just barely finding it! Love how many different options there are--you can really customize it however you want! I LOVED my drink. The barista (Morgan?) had great recommendations and my drink reminded me of Christopher Elbow chocolates. It had a strong bitter cacao taste with some deep real tasting raspberry. It was perfect! My friend got the Luau drink--a summer specialty flavor. It was coconut-y and soooo sweet! Also loved that drink as well. Can't go wrong here. Can't wait to come back and try the Italian sodas. ***ALSO they have pup cups! Can't wait to bring my doggo through the drive through next time. ANOTHER NOTE: all the past 1 star reviews are of the coffee shop that USED to be here. It's now updated and beautiful and clean inside. No political pushes and just a good study or catch up spot. They even have games you can play with friends.

If you're ever going to stop by here on a week day, make sure you have about half an hour to sit in their drive thru before going into work. I sat in the drive thru for like 15 minutes with one single car in front of me. And there is no way out of their drive thru lane so you're stuck in it until the car in front of you leaves. Never trying to come through here on the way to work again.

Drink selection is amazing! Fun, candy bar flavored drinks that don't disappoint. Even the sugar free flavors are delectable. The service is fantastic- we happened to comment to one another about the temperature of the restaurant as we were ordering and the teen employee asked- are you guys cold? Very impressive for a teen associate, especially! Drive through is quick, as we did this another day too. Only drawback is that you won't find what feels like private seating here- doesn't feel like other coffee shops where you can have a quiet, private conversation. But if you are looking for some AMAZING (what I would now consider my favorite coffee in KC!)- you can NOT miss Meeting Grounds!

A cute little small coffee shop with lots of flavor options! I ordered one of their seasonal drinks - Luau in KC, which has coconut, macadamia, and white chocolate - and my mom ordered an iced Heath latte. The coffee is decent, nothing too special for a coffee lover, they mainly play to those who like flavors vs. the actual espresso - nothing wrong with that! We ended up getting the "night owl" special for going an hour before closing, which gets you a small discount on your coffee. The service was great and the barista was patient with all of our questions, while also being personable and laughing with us with some small talk. If you enjoy more syrup forward coffee, this place is a great stop!

Great coffee shop. New owners took over about a year ago and have turned this place around. The baristas are knowledgeable and truly care if what they made you was what you wanted. I've never had a coffee/spritzer that disappointed me. There is a reason they were voted best coffee shop in the northland.

Went here yesterday on my day off! My friend suggested coming here. I happened to be in the area. I'm so glad I went here! I tried the Twix Iced Coffee! It was so delicious!! Such great flavor and the coffee was so good in it. The caramel in it was just divine and it also had mocha and vanilla. Good for the price and I actually got the right amount of coffee and not just full to the brim with ice. I hate it when my drinks are mostly ice and you get like 2oz of the actual drink. I wish it was closer!!! I want to go again!! Wish they opened up a location in KC, MO. Like on Barry Road!

Meeting Grounds Coffee is the best small business coffee shop in Liberty, MO and the greater Kansas City area. They have a wide variety of coffee options as well as good! Their customer service is amazing by far! They are all so friendly! The owner is especially nice and always makes you feel like a friend. Their baristas do their best to remember you and your drink of choice! Always a pleasant experience and it feels like I am going in to visit with friends when I am there! I cannot recommend them enough!

They were super busy with only 2 people working and the service was outstanding. A 3rd person started working not long after I got there and all 3 were super friendly and full of smiles. I was so impressed. They stand out from other coffee shops for so many reasons. I love the Christian ministries they support. They have prayer wall for prayer requests. They have a little used book donation library that you can donate to or buy from. They have tons of kids games and puzzles and even a few adult games and puzzles for groups. Another thing that stood out for me was their food offerings. CREPES! So many delicious choices of crepes it was hard to choose. I ended up going with the bacon egg and cheese. It was the most keto friendly although I'm certain they use flour. I totally forgot crepes weren't keto because I make them at home without flour. The crepes were delicious. I got a shatto chocolate milk and a peach pop tart for my daughter. I was hoping she'd want the banana Nutella crepes so I could try them lol. They have a keto coffee that is wonderful. I'm a little disappointed that their website says they offer a stevia chocolate syrup but they don't actually have that choice in the shop. They did have stevia packets though to add to my keto coffee.

This one was no exception, but I do believe it might remain the reigning champion. First of all it is a coffee shop in the basement of a church, and its name implies that it is religious. So the reviews that act surprised or give lower ratings for that reason are silly gooses. The ambiance is outstanding! It is a whole vibe. You are surrounded by books, some of the tables have pew seating, there is a kids area, they sell T shirts cheap ($7) and used books at an amazing deal. New books are priced as marked with regular retail pricing. I was shocked at the number if new hooks they had. The crowning jewel for me was they have natural house made (or local bought) syrups so you are not getting a run of the mill commercially based anything. I expected that to limit their menu but it didn't! I had the caramel crunch chai, hands down best chai I have ever tasted. I wanted to chug it. My friend loved her drink that had winter mint! I also splurged on a winter pomegranate spritz and cake pops to go. This is a coffee shop where you come in, slow down and enjoy the experience. I do not recommend this place if you want a quick coffee to go. The Barista was exceptional and she put time and effort into each drink. She did get backed up because she was all alone when a coworker called in and got slammed! She was clearly overwhelmed but never once rushed a conversation or made any of the customers feel like she didn't have time for them. Rare beauty in this rushed world we live in. She encouraged checking out the gorgeous sanctuary and stained glass windows upstairs in the sanctuary and shared stories about them. I never once felt like I was in a church basement- if that makes sense. It was warm, cozy and inviting. This is my new weekly spot! PS the kids area has a full tote of scrapbooking stuff, and the tables all have cards where you can write up a handwritten note and they send them of somewhere to spread joy and kindness. It does not get better than this.

The last I knew that the space had been an events / wedding hall, a B and B and vacant. Little did I know was that it had been reformed as an Anglican church and the coffee shop was being ran by the church in the basement. The vibe was just kinda weird...it's basically a cluttered Christian book store and gift shop serving coffee and sandwiches. The staff were polite but not very welcoming; I felt like I was intruding on a private function that didn't want me there. I took my Mocha Cream Breve' and went out on the patio for some views of the beautiful historic structure. When asked about their source for coffee beans, I was told "we get em from someplace in Arkansas". OK!?? I'm sure that some demographic here in the bible belt will find this basement quaint and charming, but it just gave me a desire to go spend my money at a more secular venue.

This is their third shared location inside of a Family Tree Nursery. The idea is wonderful; I mean who doesn't enjoy being inside a greenhouse surrounded by beautiful plants, flowers, trees and succulents - maybe the only smell that beats the aroma of coffee! Unfortunately this location does not have indoor seating, which was a bit of a drag on this cool rainy morning. I enjoyed wandering around sipping my beverage, but I really had planned on sitting and relaxing for a spell. My beverage today was a specialty drink - The Pollinated Lavender Latte. It was just as delicious to drink as it was bougie to pronounce. Honey, pollen, house made lavender syrup and several shots of espresso gave me energy and a reason to carry on through the rain. If the bees, coffee and lavender plants have to endure the weather to bring me this decadent drink, then surely I can face the storm and make it a positive experience. I will definitely enjoy returning here and sitting outdoors, but only on perfect weather days.
