This used to be old Papa's cafe. Loved the changes. The place looks great. Staff are very friendly. Great selection of baked goods, although I only had a drink. I tried the Cindy Lou Who. This space was always a store that I refused to patronize because of the offensive political propaganda that was posted on the building. On my recent trip to Liberty, I was glad to see that the name had changed, the right-wing propaganda had been removed and new owners had taken over. Sweet. I had a cold brew because the day of the week that I was there they were 50% off. A great deal making the drink price competitive with my own home-distilled cold brew - but tasting better. I ended up with a white chocolate and macadamia latte hot with oat milk that was very good. I had never had macadamia and the coffee overall was a very good flavor. They had macaroon for sale, that were limited from an event they had. I had blood orange I also had never had a macaroon before and I'll be okay to not try them again it wasn't for me. Cutest new coffee shop! Opened in November 2022 and I'm so sad I'm just barely finding it! Love how many different options there are--you can really customize it however you want! I LOVED my drink. The barista (Morgan?) had great recommendations and my drink reminded me of Christopher Elbow chocolates. It had a strong bitter cacao taste with some deep real tasting raspberry. It was perfect! My friend got the Luau drink--a summer specialty flavor. It was coconut-y and soooo sweet! Also loved that drink as well. Can't go wrong here. I sat in the drive thru for like 15 minutes with one single car in front of me. And there is no way out of their drive thru lane so you're stuck in it until the car in front of you leaves. This is such a cute place that I didn't know existed. Clean, cute, super friendly, and they have my favorite flavor of coffee ever! Back in 2006 a famous coffee chain had a banana coconut drink that they never brought back. All my dreams came true when I saw that they have a banana coconut flavor in their menu called funky monkey . It was crazy sweet. My first visit and I was not impressed with the crying baby the entire time of my visit. My guest and I could barely hear each other over the crying baby. The barista was trying to keep her infant child satisfied and wait on customers at the same time. It did not work well. Their product is good, and the pastries are a great selection. I realize this is a family business but either the barista needs to stay home with her crying child, or another family member needs to take care of the child outside of the restaurant. One employee took the baby in a back room, but you could still him crying in the main area. I understand mothers and their babies, but a crying baby does not belong in a business place as it is very disruptive to customers. I would have to give a second thought on returning. read more

I ordered one of their seasonal drinks - Luau in KC, which has coconut, macadamia, and white chocolate - and my mom ordered an iced Heath latte. The coffee is decent, nothing too special for a coffee lover, they mainly play to those who like flavors vs. the actual espresso - nothing wrong with that! We ended up getting the "night owl" special for going an hour before closing, which gets you a small discount on your coffee. Went here yesterday on my day off! My friend suggested coming here. I happened to be in the area. I'm so glad I went here! I tried the Twix Iced Coffee! It was so delicious!! Such great flavor and the coffee was so good in it. The caramel in it was just divine and it also had mocha and vanilla. Good for the price and I actually got the right amount of coffee and not just full to the brim with ice. I hate it when my drinks are mostly ice and you get like 2oz of the actual drink. I tried the "Love Maker" iced, which is a latte with vanilla and caramel. This drink was incredible. Although it was a sweet drink, there was still a very strong coffee flavor - I was impressed! Went in a while back. The owner was very nice. Chatted up a bit. Told me the history of the place. Coffee was a pour-over because he was no longer serving from the carafe. Problem was he didn't weigh the water. He just guessed on the ratio. The coffee ended up being rather diluted. I sat to get some work done. There were a bunch of old ladies sitting in the main room gossiping about the prince of England, his wife and their new baby. After they left, the owner all of the sudden turned off the lights overhead! I asked him about it. He said he only kept them on for the women, otherwise he was saving electricity. No concern for the fact that I was a paying customer, sitting in the room doing work, and needed the light. Then he came in, sat in one of the chairs, turned on the obnoxious television, and fell asleep! I had to keep my earbuds in and turn up the volume just to drown out the show he was watching. Papa's is a locally owned shop where you'll probably always find the owner. Papa's has been open since the last couple weeks of last year and if you ask a lot of folks in Liberty, we're thrilled to have an option over Starbuck's. This is a place were locals can have a conversation over coffee and maybe a pastry. After several visits, I don't think the intent is to be the best coffee in town. They use Roasterie beans and give The Roasterie very visible billing on signage and Roasterie branded cups. The coffee is good but add the local factor and the score goes way up. I trust "Papa Jeff" and I like the fact that my $2.44 for a large Americano is staying in town. Papa offers locally made baked goods and they're petty damn good. Really enjoyed the coffee from this little gem in Liberty! They serve Roasterie and do it well - flavor was strong and temperature was good and hot. The drip coffee was solid. For those who love the many coffee creations inspired by Starbucks, Papa's has plenty of that too. I believe there is even a "candy bar latte" option, or something similar. My vanilla latte was a little too sweet for my taste, so I would ask for less syrup next time, but it was still delicious (and exactly what I used to love before developing more of an appreciation for regular coffee). There is a drive thru and the cup sizes runs true to Sbux too - so if you're in the area and haven't tried it what are you waiting for??
