    Biscuit with butter and jam
    Caroline W.

I have very high standards for biscuits, and Take Care exceeded my expectations. I met a group of friends here at 7 am on a week day. I ordered a carrot cake latte and a biscuit with butter and jam. The biscuits were coming out fresh. They had a crispy outside and moist, crumbly inside, exactly how I like it. My latte was delicious as well, and not too sweet! There's a ton of space here and even a back patio that looked nice. The staff were all so friendly and it was fun seeing people come and go before work.

If you're looking for a coffee spot that keeps it simple and focuses on high quality, you've found it. It's a breath of fresh air and the exact place I'll continue to spend my latte fund. House made syrups made weekly, baked goods made daily. The biscuit breakfast sandwich was so flavorful and the biscuit texture exceeded all expectations. Can't wait to come back and try their house made butters paired with another crispy, fluffy, fresh biscuit. Also, plenty of seating with a quieter section and outdoor patio space upstairs.

I was taking a stroll in an unusually cool Sumner morning when I needed to get something caffeinated in me. I remembered this bright red coffee shop the night before from brewers alley and headed there. The whiff of fresh baked something hit me and I knew it was good. It was clear I was having decision anxiety as everything looked good so they were patient with me and let me admire the case before walking over. Decided on a cina biscuit and a late. The cinnamon was what I was really craving and almost said hold the caramel , that would have been a blunder! It was amazing not too sweet and went so well with the coffee, really good combo! I savored that biscuit and took the rest of the latte for a hand warmer for the rest of my walk. I wish this spot was not on the last day in town as It would haven been my go to spot everyday !

Loved the vibes here on a Friday morning at 7:00 am before work! The homemade biscuits were delicious and you could pick it as a sandwich or with a spread. I did plain with butter. The chai was great. There cup size options are 12 or 16 ounces. They have a special if you buy a biscuit you get a free cup of drip coffee. Very nice service as well!

So glad I got to try Take Care by Oleo!! I kept hearing about the carrot cake latte which obviously sounded delicious so came here to work for a bit on a Friday. The service was very friendly and quick, there was plenty of seating options, the carrot cake latte was appropriately hyped up and the biscuit with pear jam was delicious! I'll definitely be back!

Great coffee, drip and espresso, I recommend at least a shot. Biscuits are on point and I love the spreads. Cultured butter is very nice. Staff are very helpful and cheery even for an early Sunday morning.

Absolutely love. The ambiance is so fun and rustic. It really does feel authentic and as though it has been there for many many years. They know what they're doing with the coffee and the baked goods smell so overwhelmingly good I'm not sure how I was able to turn it down. Next time I won't be so tame I can tell you that. One thing I would love to see is a little bit more on the tea front. There weren't a ton of options in that regard (Matcha/Earl Grey/etc.) which may be by design, but I'd probably be visiting more if those options were available! That being said, they did recommend the Spirit Tea and I really enjoyed it! Photo forthcoming because it was so cute. I appreciated the advice from the barista and always love trying something. So much love for Take Care & OLEO!

Have been wanting to stop in here for the longest time. The biscuit and coffee were delicious. The vibe and design of the space was so fun. Would be the perfect spot to work for the day or meet up with friends. Unfortunately it was obvious there were still kinks being worked out with the staff and it appeared disorganized. Hoping they can work it out because would love to be back!

Crossroads cafe has a nice space. I ordered a 20 oz iced caramel latte light ice, they only offer oat milk as alternative to whole milk so I stuck with the cow. Oat milk has an off taste in lattes. Initially the cup was filled to the rim with ice before I pointed it and hit 1/3 of the cup full. I'd rather have more latte than ice, otherwise it's not a 20 oz drink of latte but ice, water and espresso. The drink didn't have much flavor or espresso to me. I even asked for more caramel. I also got their cinnamon biscuit. It was dry. Service was good. Very laid back, helpful and pleasant staff!

I love Take Care and stop in anytime I pass through the crossroads. The espresso is very good and the vanilla bean house made syrup is delicious. During my most recent visit they have changed their no tip policy to the average expectation of a 20% tip. Take Care used to have a beautiful model that separated them from any other coffee shop, posting a sign that stated no tipping because they pay their employees a livable wage. Since changing this it gives a little bit of a different vibe...

The first thing I liked about this cafe was the smell I got after walking in. The decor was very homey with farm house style. The espresso was good but they also had drip coffee and tea available. The barista was kind and also pointed out their seasonal specials The biscuit was sturdy and buttery. They have plenty of sweet options but I got the Cinnabiscuit which was more on the biscuit side and had a sweet syrup topping which was really tasty.

I also got a breakfast burrito (not gf) the second morning, which was delicious + had great heat. The coffee here was also amazing, although I opted for very basic oat milk lattes each morning. My husband got a maple tahini latte one morning + a smoked something or other on the other morning we went. My husband + son got croissants both mornings and loved them, but they also had some seriously cute rainbow donuts on display, which I was a bit shocked that my five year old passed by. The baristas were all very friendly and helpful, which I appreciated + the space was great with an open kitchen concept/plenty of seating. This seems like a great spot to work from, although they also had a wonderful (windy) rooftop to sit on also.. that looked like it had a fireplace for chillier days- so cozy. Best coffee in KC.

The space is very bright and cute - great for a visit to read or doodle (I did a little doodling of the shop during my visit). They even have a little shop area with some super cute and unique KC gear. I had a hot hazelnut latte and it was just okay, the flavor was pretty bland in my opinion and it was automatically served in a to go cup which bums me out. I like to sit and enjoy my coffee right there and love a good hot mug, it's part of the visit experience to me. The cute shop and incredible staff made my visit itself great overall, but the coffee could be leveled up a bit. Nonetheless, I would visit again :)

We loved the little set up with a great amount of seating, a clean bathroom, and outlets for people who want to study or get some work done. We were a little hungry and got the empanadas and both tried the Yerba mate. We've never had the traditional yerba mate and were excited we could try it here. Once our order was ready one of the employees was happy to explain to us how to properly drink the yerba mate. She was patient, kind, and professional the whole time. There's definitely a trick to drinking it without getting the tea leaves through the straw. As we enjoyed our snack and drink we could tell the caffeine kicks in a little later. So, if you're up to trying traditional yerba mate, be aware that you'll get a gradual burst of energy a little later. I personally loved the decor and the atmosphere here.
