If I could give 0 start, I would. Very bad manner and service. I inflated 5 balloons, three were deflated a few hours later, cos the balloons were not sealed correctly. I returned to the store, asked them to redo it for me. They didn't bother even taking a look, and rejected directly. The women behind the counter pointed at me saying it's my fault not theirs. I had a great experience here. Friendly staff. I dropped off balloons pre-bought, to have them filled with helium. I chose Alexis Party World due to them having the most reasonable price. When I came to collect my 40 balloons, they were filled, tied with pretty strings, color-sorted, and even came with weights to keep them from flying away. Other places charge extra for the weights. The cherry on top was the staff assisting me to make sure the whole 40 got into my car. I will remember to return here for my future party needs. read more

Service for the balloons was pretty simple. All the special balloons a prices very clearly (starts at 2.99 each)and the colored basic balloons are 75c each. Customer service was great - super fast and easy!! I'd definitely go here again to pick up balloons and party supply. Located in the corner on International & 47th. I'm sure you can't miss it with the party supply they hang outside. I had a young gal helping me and she was nice so good service for the time I went! The store is small but offer variety of stuff. Majority of stuff that you need for parties. Tissue papers, tablecloths, balloons, etc. I saw some cute baby shower junk like baby's bottles and stuff. Of course, piñata has to be one of their many items in the store as well. Came here to get some balloons for a baby shower and I thought it was a good deal. This is a gem of a store. Super cheap piñatas, and a wide variety of them considering how small this store actually is. Also a much wider variety than nearby stores (this was the 3rd store we went to within a mile radius). I can barely believe I got a BB-8 piñata for $18, because for a BB-8 piñata--which my son was over the moon about-- I would have paid double. For us old people they also have R2D2 piñatas, which I was sorely tempted to buy. Also, points for the candy selection. I have now had my fill of chile-flavored candy for the year at 5/$1. read more

12 regular balloons + 2 batman (yes, batman) balloons + streamers + tablecloth + a special "Batman Birthday Hero" pin--all for $20. They also threw in a free balloon weight to keep my purchases from flying away. Too bad I popped one of the batman balloons with my keys trying to get them into the car. This place is ah-maz-ing. Thank you to my fellow Yelpers for introducing me to this fabulous business. The prices here are way more competitive than any other party store I've frequented (not to name names) and the service is genuine and great. I simply couldn't believe how cheap the balloons were-- a dozen colored balloons filled with helium for 6.99? Wow! That barely covers the price of helium. These affordable balloons were durable enough to survive a full morning of battering rain tied along my fence, waiting for the party to start. I bought other things too, crowns, napkins, tiaras and gift bags for my princess themed party. I went wild, in fact, and still left spending under 100 dollars. There are also excellent deals on party packages, tables chairs, pinatas and bounce houses. I wish I would have looked into them before I ordered elsewhere. From now on, they are my one and only. Excellent English and Spanish (also probably excellent) spoken by the nicest, warmest employees you could ever hope to meet. caveat: I do recommend going in in person to check out the offerings. I wish that I could give this place a zero. I recently bought quality balloons online because I had my sons first birthday party and I noticed that prices on balloons, especially Mylar balloons were so expensive. Then I just needed to fill them. Well, I took them to Alexis party supply who charged me full price to fill the balloons with no discount for bringing in my own balloons. Then when my friend went and picked up the balloons on the day of the party, the balloons where not the ones that I purchased. I had purchased some larger balloons and some standard sized and she sent all standard sized balloons! I didn't even have time to go back to get into it with her. I just know I'll never deal with her again. Save yourself some hassle and go somewhere else. Don't deal with crooked businesses. read more

I don't understand the reviews comparing Alexis to the now-sadly-defunct Party Warehouse near Jack London Square - they are not remotely in the same league. Alexis is 1/8 of the size Party Warehouse was (was I missing something?), and the selection reflected this. Extremely small variety of balloons to choose from, and the customer service was (way) less than helpful when I asked them questions. I quickly gave up, walked out, and drove all the way out to Paper Plus in east-jesus Berkeley where they were friendly, helpful, and had a huge selection of party items and balloons to choose from. read more

Amazing store, staff, and prices! It's hard to find local businesses owned by local owners and I'm glad this place has been here for a few years now. Latex and metallic (?) balloons are the cheapest you can find in the area and they have tons of variety (whole wall covered in designs you can chose from). During the holidays (Mother's Day, Valentine's Day, etc) they make beautiful flower arrangements at good prices as well, including really nice vases. Also custom piñata as well, I've seen everything from local sports piñatas and if you bring your own design they can probably make it for you within a few days. I gotta say they really go above and beyond. They're a family business and I'm sure it's not easy to have a store shop open right on international Blvd but it's a gem to have. Service was awful, one lady didn't know how to use the register, and the other got upset at her in front of customers, (so humiliating). Stopped by on Wednesday, 8/24 and ordered a personalized pinata for a friend at work. I was told it would be ready on Friday, 9/2. I told the woman that was fine because the party was going to be on Saturday, 9/3. I called the store several times on Friday before I left work and there was no answer. I was worried but figured they might have problems with their phone. I got to the store at 4:15 and and guess what????????? The store was CLOSED FOR 3 DAYS FOR THE LABOR DAY HOLIDAY!!!!! I was super pissed off. I was leaving for vacation the next day and had promised this pinata to my friend Barbara. I got back from vacation last night and went to the store today and told the lady she made me look bad with my friend and the pinata. Her response was I told all my clients I would be closed from 9/2 to 9/5. I showed her the receipt where she CLEARLY wrote pick up on 9/2. Her reply was "What do you want? I can't sell a personalized pinata!!! WTF!!!!! She refused to give me a refund or discuss the issue further, She pointed to the corner and told me my pinata was there if I wanted it or not.
