Absolutely amazing bicycle shop with mass inventory of high-end bicycles for the pro or novice customers. Also offering bike clothing, Oakley sun glasses, bike accessories and a full service maintenance and repair shop. Basically, a bicyclist's dream store. Inside the bike shop is Watts & Coffee, which is an elegant coffee shop slinging specialty coffees and muffins. The offer a relaxing area to sip a Colombian coffee, which I did, or have a bite of a muffin or danish while awaiting for your bike repair. I noticed people coming in off the street just for a good cup of coffee. Great shop...

    Wheel hub

Came in for a tune up on a Saturday to mainly true my wheels and to rebuild wheel hubs, the person who received my bike was helpful and considerate and showed me at the spot that the hubs needed to be checked and possibly rebuilt, but when I picked my bike up the following Wednesday, came to see my bike hastily built as the wheels still were not trued, fork top stack assembled in the wrong order, and worst of all the front hub not sealed all the way as it is jutting out of the hub, came back in to show the person who I picked up the bike from, which then he brought a mechanic who told me it's like that and it doesn't touch the forks so it is good, which it isn't.

I would only give 2 1/2 stars if I could because Alex seems like a nice enough guy; but the truth is it wasn't a good experience buying a bike at this place. The first day I spoke with Alex and he only had one bike in the place that would "fit me" in the price range and style of bike I was looking for. I left to think about the bike overnight. Bikes are in high demand right now. The next day I returned to get the bike and the attention I received was atrocious. I should had left the bike there bI had Invested the time and was there and wanted to start riding so I waited around 40 mins just to pay for the bike. The real problem isn't the wait. In retrospect, they never fitted me for the bike. They didn't ensure it was the right size. They didn't ensue the seat was at the right height. They didn't ensure the handlebars were at the right height and angle. The didn't do anything and I spent almost $800 for the bike. I didn't even get the manual that was supposed to come with the bike. Moral of the story, if you're not spending thousands of dollars, you're better off at another shop. Dicks does more for fitting you on a bike than this place and this is supposed to be a "bike shop." I'm taking part of the hit because I should had been a better shopper and demanded more (or left) but at the end of the day they should had done their jobs and they failed and I cant recommend them unless you know exactly what you want, need and is best for you or if you.

They repaired a popped tube on my son's Ebike within 24 hours and then the bike was good to go.

A+ thumbs up to Jason who was so very knowledgable and kind he took his time explaining all the nuances of bicycles to my son who was in market for his first high-end bike.

1 Star - Felt Intimidated, Unsafe, and Disrespected…read more My experience at Durango Bikes was extremely uncomfortable and concerning. When I returned to pick up my bike, I found myself in a situation where I was out numbered by 5-6 male staff members and no other customers in the store. As a customer simply trying to clarify billing and service issues, this felt overwhelming and intimidating rather than supportive or professional. During the interaction, a large dog was also allowed to come from the back working area into the front of the store. Given the already tense situation, this made me feel unsafe and added to my discomfort. This did not feel appropriate in a customer-facing environment, especially during a dispute. I also could not ignore the way I was treated throughout the interaction. I felt dismissed and not taken seriously when questioning charges and services that had not been completed. The overall tone and handling of the situation left me feeling disrespected and, frankly, discriminated against. At no point did anyone attempt to de-escalate the situation or offer reassurance. Instead, they lied repeatedly and told me I was incorrect, the environment felt hostile and unwelcoming. No customer should feel intimidated, unsafe, or unheard when simply trying to resolve a service issue. Based on this experience, I would not return or recommend.

First let me say that their website is very helpful, as they keep full stock and prices up to date, so it was easy to see what they had in store with real prices. I had a couple of bikes in mind and emailed them with a few questions about stock/price/color/etc. I received a quick response from Mario and we continued to go back and forth with me pinging him with questions over the next week. When I got back into town, I advised him that I would drop by the next day to test ride a specific model. I showed up to the shop the next day and Mario was there. First let me say that this is an impressive shop - fully, fully stocked, well organized and a variety of bikes from low-end to super high-end. The selection is really excellent. Need a bottle cage? They have about 50 different types of them. If you're an obsessive cyclist, this place has a ton of bike porn. The repair shop area was huge and looks very well maintained. Mario helped me out with the test ride and I decided that I would go ahead and buy the bike. I told him that I was gong to swap out the white bar tape to make it all black, as well as the saddle - I had actually purchased new tape and had a decent black saddle back at home. He offered to swap these for me free of charge. I waited a bit while they taped the bars, installed the saddle and checked the bike out. Twenty minutes later, I left the store with my new Trek Emonda - a great bike at an amazing price. The other thing I'll note is that there was no shady salesmanship going on here. He knew I was there with a bigish budget and could have easily tried to squeeze a few hundred more dollars out of me by trying to sell me stuff I didn't need. The overall buying experience was excellent and the price was the best that I found anywhere in the area. i would highly recommend stopping by City Bikes whether you're buying a water bottle or a $5K performance road bike.

I've worked as a bicycle messenger in NYC for 10 years, & I've been to hundreds of bicycle shops. The guy running the shop is rude, & condescending overall. He'll only do repairs when he's selling you his own 3rd party parts... Response to the condescending owner: Imagine this, you moved to Florida from NYC a year ago but still don't have a car, & ride a bicycle everywhere. You ran over a nail, & have been off your bike for over week. You wait for the specific, difficult to find, replacement tires to arrive. Then you're told that they won't install tires that are the exact same brand as your bicycle?? Let's be honest, you didn't even have my specific tires in stock! You wanted to sell some off brand garbage tires. Your bicycle shop is an embarrassment. I can say that because I've been to hundreds of shops all over NYC, NJ, Philly, & FL.
