We found Alfredo based on his Yelp reviews, and I can confirm he does outstanding work! Like many in Los Angeles, our house was built in the 1960s and needed some work done to the exterior. There was a not-insignificant crack in the exterior wall and I suspected it could be something simple, or serious. Called Alfredo and he was very happy to come by and take a look in short order. He was very knowledgeable and took the time to carefully examine the wall and survey the damage. He was able to tell me what he think caused the issue, and basically it was just decades of weather and wear, and possibly a miss-aligned sprinkler. There was a previous fix evident that must have failed done by the previous owners. He leveled with me that he might be able to fix just the area below the crack, or worst case--have to redo the whole wall. Given the width of the cracks, this is about what I expected but he told me he'd try and work with what was there, under the wall and save the rest above if possible. At the agreed upon time and day, he and his crew showed up prompt and ready to go. When they had the lower half of the wall exposed, he showed me the extent of the damage. The supporting wire structure was completely rusted away, something that doesn't happen overnight. At this point, there may still have been some good wire to be used as the basis for a half-wall fix. He continued to chip away the wall and sadly for me, the rusted wire went the complete hight of the exterior wall. He showed me that Luckily, none of the house structure or interior wall was compromised which was a relief. Alfredo had given some verbal "ball park" quotes to help give me a sense of the expense, but once we both saw the work involved, we was able to work with me and come to a very fair agreement for a full-wall repair. I'm not an expert, but it was very clear that there was no saving or trying to fix what simply had rusted away after many years. To have attempted him to do just a half wall fix would have been foolish, in this case. It only took them about three total days to rip out the old exterior to a finished, painted wall (approximately 30'x8'). They took some paint samples and matched the color perfectly! At every step of the process, Alfredo was very eager to show me the progress of exactly what and how he was working. From putting up the new support wire, to insulation, to tar paper, he wanted me informed and also part of the process. Alfredo was also happy to get my input on how to handle some exterior outlets and other things. It was a joy working with him, as he and is crew are absolute professionals and clearly take pride in their workmanship. It's clear they want the customer to be 100% happy. Over the course of the job and as a result of his keeping me very informed, there were no surprises, work or price wise. The finished wall was basically like new, as he matched both the stucco texture and color exactly as the rest of the house. In the end, I could not have been happier and will gladly call on Alfredo again for any other interior or exterior wall work be done. Thanks so much, guys! read more

I hate to leave a bad review, but the whole reason I went with these guys was their positive reviews. I've been fixing up a house and needed stucco installed. The city inspector said I'd need two layers of tarpaper before the stucco, so I requested that and it was in our contract. I pulled up to the house on the day they were scheduled to start, and there was a single worker starting to install the lathe, no tarpaper. I called the company, and they had to go buy tarpaper. They hadn't even brought any or given proper instructions to their workers. They wound up installing the tarpaper and metal lathe, but the job was incredibly sloppy. The tarpaper was torn in many places. The lathe wasn't nailed down to the studs. In many places they were just putting nails in thin air, totally missing the studs. Their work failed inspection, because of the tears in the tarpaper and the poorly installed lathe wire. They came back to patch their work, but did a poor job. I still found many holes. Maybe they don't have experience with stucco? The work was just shockingly sloppy. The business owner replied bellow that the work was improved by an inspector. This only happened after I spent five hours patching all the holes he missed. read more

So I have a 1955 built house with a detached garage. The garage was never finished an it is basically a bunch of wood beams, some old shelving and holes everywhere so of course rats can come in. I finally got sick of looking at it after 20 years and decided to spend the money to have it finished. I sent multiple requests for quotes through yelp with some pictures and Alfredo was the only one that responded to actually visit on site to give a more accurate quote. I received some pretty generic responses from other drywallers, most who were significantly higher. I decided on Alfredos and we agreed that there would be some demo, cleanup, improved framing, insulation, drywall and paint and it would take 2 weeks. The whole process took a week and a half (which included a full day for the electrician and one day off for the rain which would prevent the plaster from drying). I appreciated the fact that Alfredo's guys cleaned up every day after they left and were very courteous. The lines on the walls are very clean (and I have seen some bad drywall installs in the past; it can look really bad if someone doesn't have a ton of experience). I couldn't recommend him more. Contacted Alfredo for a drywall repair and he was able to come give a quote, begin work, and complete the job in a little over a week. We had an eye-sore of a textured wall at our front entrance and for some reason all of the contractors bidding for other small jobs on our lot were either confused on how to remove the texture or quoted me ridiculous prices and time windows to complete the task. Alfredo not only reassured he could smooth the wall in a matter of 3 days but he also closed up a different wall in another part of the house where a doorway once was located - all for a more than reasonable cost.
