Stopped by after lunch nearby. They were crowded, so it took a while to order and receive the order. The service was very fast and efficient. Though there was some seating available, some of our group did not like the stifling air inside. Maybe they need better ventilation or leave the door open. The Wake Up Matcha with Herbal Jelly (Large, Iced, 0% sugar) had a decent matcha flavor. It still had a hint of sweetness, and the general consensus was that the drinks were on the sweet side. I am glad I got no sugar with this drink. The Cajun Fries with Mango Habanero sauce was perfectly crispy. The Cajun seasoning completely covers the fries, which I like (give me -all- that seasoning!), so it's got really good Cajun flavor. The sauce added some sweetness to the fries. I had their Dirty Boba Milk Tea and it was fairly good. The texture of the pearls was nearly spot on and the brown sugar was okay. It's not the best brown sugar milk tea that I have had but it does the job and they give a decently sized large for a lower price than most places. One of the main cons is that the lid for the cup wasn't sealed on but just a plastic removable lid which makes it difficult to properly mix the brown sugar into the drink. read more

We tried this spot for the first time today and ordered their Dirty Boba (their take on brown sugar bubble tea) and a Mango Slush for my kids. They absolutely loved it! Drinks were way way way waaay too sweet. We both got the lowest sweetness level (30% sugar) and it was sweeter than 100% sugar would be at other places. Ambiance is nice and the location is convenient. We stopped by to wait out our table for a restaurant nearby but unfortunately the sugar overload from our drinks sort of spoiled the dinner experience. We were in the area, saw the reviews and ordered the two most popular - the dragon berry with jelly and matcha w boba (50% less sugar) which was a good call. We also ordered regular fries. It was good but I wouldn't bother to order the fries again. Dragon berry was tangy and refreshing never saw this on a boba menu before and will def come back to order this again. The matcha was def good and the quality was ideal - I've had lots of matcha before including going on matcha binges in Japan and this was def of a higher quality - you could taste that subtle bitterness (that's typical of matcha) it's not for everyone but I thought they made one of the best matcha lattes I've had In awhile. I don't get boba that frequently but when I do I'm particular about where. Kung Fu Tea is still one of my fave chains to order from and this place is a strong contender! read more

When we got there, there was a spaced-out line with about 5-6 people on it. Seems like everyone was craving bubble tea at the same time! There was a small table set up right at the entrance of the establishment to take orders. My boyfriend and I ordered the Dirty Boba Milk (homemade brown sugar with milk and boba) & Hojicha Milk Tea. The total came out to $10+, but Boba Fries is currently offering 20% off for all healthcare employees! There is a $10 minimum to use a credit card charge I was super excited for the hojicha milk tea, but it was pretty light in flavor and maybe a bit watered down. The dirty boba milk tea was very sweet, but give it a good stir and you'll be good to go. We didn't order any fries this time around because I usually prefer eating foods directly in the establishment themselves.. so I will definitely be coming back to try them! As the name suggests, this place offers bubble tea and french fries. They also sells other drinks like shakes, but no actual food. Both the drinks and the fries come in regular and large and are in the $4 to $5 range. With the fries, you are better off paying the 75 cent difference, as there is a decent difference between the regular and large sizes. Despite the limited menu, this place does do its two main offerings well. We chose their two most popular bubble tea flavors: the matcha and the dirty bubble tea. The matcha was as expected, though slightly bitter and somewhat bland as matcha can be. The dirty bubble tea flavor is basically milk tea with caramelized brown sugar syrup. This one was very sweet and very tasty and was the better of the two. For the fries, we tried the original style fries, and their sweet potato fries. Taro fries are also offered here. The fries were seasoned pretty well and decently crispy. The drink was awesome (I requested minimal sweetness/no extra sugar) and very refreshing. $.50 charge for their special dipping sauces. Came here pretty excited cause I love bubble tea and love fries -- who doesn't right?? Place looks pretty nice and clean. They've got a neon sign for the folks that enjoy 'gram'ing their life, paired with a couple of other contrasting wall pieces. Thing to note here, there's a $10 minimum on credit cards. This is kind of tough since a large bubble tea is gonna run you $4.50 and a large fries is gonna be another $4.50. I got the spicy mayo dipping sauce to bring me closer to the minimum. Staff was friendly and helped me with the couple of questions I had. Bubble tea was not great, but pretty par for the course on what you'd get at other places. I didn't specify my desired amount of sugar, and it wasn't sweet. If you like your boba sweet, probably a good idea to ask for extra sugar. The tapioca was good and plentiful. The drink was lukewarm though which is a bummer. More often than not, the tea is made warm and poured over ice, which leads to a lukewarm -- and undesireable -- drink. I didn't see what the protocol was here, but I do wish it was colder. using more ice is sometimes the go-to, but then you've got 80% ice and 20% drink. My favorite was always the Bubble Cafe (RIP) where folks would shake the beverage in a cocktail mixer with ice. Perfect every time. I also got the Cajun fries. Fries themselves were good and were plentiful for the price. I got both the spicy mayo and regular ketchup. The spicy mayo was extra and I can't recommend it. There was another option I'd suggest trying cause the spicy mayo was nothing special. Tasted, more or less, like regular mayo mixed with Siracha. It would have been ok if it wasn't soo watery though. Because of the texture, it didn't hold to the fries very well so it was more like dipping french fries into a liquid. The Cajun fries have a nice spiciness to them, enough to taste it but not enough to overwhelm. Even the most spicy averse will be ok eating these. I'd like to stop by again; Boba Fries makes a nice addition to the community, but things could be better -- and I expect will be. read more

In search of bubble tea within walking distance of the park, I came across this place and decided to give it a shot. I was totally taken off guard by it being a bubble tea and French fries place. I am a huge fan of cajun fries and milk tea. I came on a Saturday afternoon and there were two other guests. There are lots of plenty of seating seats and it was clean. The staff was kind and quick to take my order. I received my order in 10-15minutes. I ordered a Medium Hojicha milk tea which was $4.25 and large Cajun fries which was $4.50 to go. The Hojicha milk tea was good, milk tea with a green tea base. It was less Cajun fries than I thought, especially since I saw all the Yelp pictures with an overflowing box of fries. It was good, but they use too many spices to create that Cajun flavor that's merely okay in my opinion. Boba? Fries? No way, two of my favorite things merged into one store that specializes in both is truly a gift from the Gods. We got the lychee green tea with lychee topping. That drink was so refreshing and paired perfectly with our fries. We ordered the cajun fries spiced to the MAX, with a side of spicy mayo. Because my boyfriend loves to bathe in spice, he absolutely loved it and it wasn't spicy at all for him. Me on the other hand, I was dying because it was truly spicy. Love their passion fruit green tea. The green tea has a perfect balance of bitterness and jasmine flavor. If you are a matcha lover, you will love their matcha. They use ceremonial grade matcha! One of my go-to places in the neighborhood to get a quality bubble tea. I'm a big matcha fan so the Wake Up Matcha is usually my first choice (30% sugar, gotta also add their good boba!). Over the Summer there was seasonal Strawberry Matcha that was amazing as well. As someone who's lactose sensitive it's great to see that the signature drinks have lactose-free milk which sometimes isn't so common at other shops. Occasionally I opt for a Passion fruit GT or the Dirty Boba Milk, all of the menu is pretty solid though. Many of their drinks are also quite pretty so don't forget to take those fancy pictures! Personally I'm not a fan of fries, but the sweet potato fries are great. I especially love the twist with the taro one which I've never seen before anywhere else, pairs great with their spicy mayo but also good just by itself. There are some small kinks that could be ironed out though :x + Coconut milk tea with passionfruit popping boba (6/10) - I LOVE popping boba and this flavor was fantastic. It was my first time getting a coconut milk tea and I think I'll just stick with the actual teas. I got 30% sugar and it was still pretty sweet. + Cajun fries (7/10) - I tried some fresh on the street but they weren't that crispy. Good flavor though. + Taro sweet potato fries (7/10) - I thought the fries would be made with taro, not brushed with taro powder. This was a surprisingly good combination but overall too sweet for me, so I wouldn't get it again. I bought 4 drinks (two for my roommate, one for my coworker and one for me), and they gave me two bags with one drink stacked on the other. I did not realize that the drinks were NOT fully sealed (open on top for the straw hole), so I ended up spilling some of my drinks and having a little pool at the bottom of the bags. This could definitely be remedied by people being more careful, but I'm kind of clumsy and it was hard carrying 4 drinks, fries, and thai chicken from across the street. When I get boba, I usually get fully sealed tops so I didn't realize I would have to be ultra careful. Overall I'd be down to try this again; I haven't seen hojicha or genmaicha milk tea anywhere else. And fries are probably best super fresh and not in the cold :/ read more

Love this idea of French fries and boba, really I love seeing boba pretty much anywhere. Their taro milk tea is good, and they have Genmaicha milk tea, made with toasted rice. I've only had the regular hot Genmaicha before and this was nice! You still get the toasty taste from the roasted rice. Regular fries are nice and crispy, could have used a bit more salt. My favorite item were the sweet potato fries with a dusting of sweet taro. Sooooo good, their texture is soft and it's more like a dessert than the regular savory fries.
