Cute cafe spot with southeast asian menu vibes but not south East Asian prices. Stretch your necks before you enter. I had to do a triple take on those prices. No need to justify them, but yeeshhh. Time to become a barista. Their standard coffee options like americano, cortado, flat whites, etc are in a more average $3.50- 5.25 range. Ordered the ube matcha latte w/coconut cloud ($10.50), and BEC ($9) and a EC ($8) as they come on brioche. The sandwiches were extremely dense and filling. Not super cheesy. Eggs are pancaked not scrambled. They were fine but sat too heavy in the stomach. And no, I didn't eat both. Actually I even spaced out the EC having half immediately and half later. I wouldn't order again. Red Bean matcha latte ($10) and Guava matcha latte ($10), both served iced, are also tantalizing unique menu options. The use matcha latte was delicious. Tasted fresh and not artificial. It's a small space with 3-4 seats at a counter inside and a few round tables outside. There's no bathroom. Cute decor. Finally a spot with a solid ube latte! It's not too sweet, and the ube flavor definitely pulls through. It would be great to have the espresso taste come through more, but I may just have to add another shot of espresso. The jerk chicken quesadilla was great as well! It's well spiced and a good size to share with a friend. I highly recommend and would def get it again. Decided on Better Half Kitchen to start the day and get some work done. The space is quite small, with just three tables outside and a few seats by the window indoors. Their drink menu is especially distinctive, with an impressive range of options like an ube matcha latte with coconut cloud, guava matcha latte, ube hojicha latte with mocha, and even a red bean matcha latte. There is definitely no shortage of creativity here - love to see that!! I ordered the iced ube hojicha for $9 (a bit pricey but I was willing), and my sister and I both agreed that it tasted like cereal milk. I wish the ube or even the hojicha element was stronger, since it did come across a bit bland. Not my favorite drink, but I could still appreciate the care behind it. The preparation felt very deliberate, and it was clear the staff takes pride in creating a thoughtful experience. They sift + hand-mix the hojicha, top it off with freshly whipped cream, and do a cool patterned design on the foam cap, which made the whole process feel especially meticulous. Overall, 3.8/5. Adorable spot! It is small and cozy with about 4 seats and a long counter, no bathroom, and a few staff members working. The food is worth though. Drinks were worth the wait! This place isn't Starbucks or Dunkin, it's more of an artisanal coffee shop. So if you are expecting microwaved food (Dunkin) or basic b!tch cup of coffee then I'd advise you to stick to the $1.50 cup from the bodega or Chinese bakery. This spot is for those people who appreciate a really high quality latte or matcha (they are using Nipponcha aka one of the highest rated matcha brands). This cute little shop is definitely worth the visit if you are around this area. The staff are nice and friendly and are accommodating as well. I currently am not having caffeine and they were very nice to direct me to how they can make my drink caffeine free. I got the ube latte which I really liked. It wasn't too sweet but also I understand why they put a shot of espresso inside, I just wish they had a decaf option. I also got the apple turnover (not pictured) but this I actually did not enjoy. Maybe I need to try some of their other parties but the apple filling was a little sour which was off putting and there were no chucks of apple. It felt like a pastry filled with sour apple sauce. I had to come right to Yelp to write about the excellent and humbling experience I had grabbing a quick snack here. I stood behind a gentleman picking up and order and the gentleman behind the counter thanked me for waiting. It was a nice gesture that complimented the delicous jerk chicken quesadilla I had there. Excellent hospitality on the part of this cool little cafe. I washed it down with a tasy passionfruit refresher that hit the spot. It's a tiny, cool cafe and a great addition to the neighborhood. August 2025: As I entered this quaint new cafe, intrigued by their seasonal pandan latte advertised on their window, I was greeted by one of the two staff working on a hot summer weekend. Growing up with pandan drinks and food as a Southeast Asian, I definitely have high expectations. The price point listed was $6-$8 so I was quite confused why I ended up paying $8 over $6. I didn't question the price from the barista as she asked me what type of milk I would like. The final product looked amazingly green which I'm ok with since I've seen pandan in all crazy shades of green. I am guessing there's a bit of espresso (or lack of it), but it looked and tasted more like a simple pandan milk drink which I did like but nothing more complex than that. The price was what had me questioning based on the price list; there are several surrounding Thai restaurants and cafes in the area that make pandan drinks but not at this price point. I just wish the price matched the listing on their seasonal specials menu, creating a questionable experience. I even asked for regular milk thinking a different option (ex oat milk) would bounce the price to $8 from $6...? The service was good but not amazing mostly because the barista just asked what type of milk and not the size or temperature of the drink like other shops usually do. Ambience is small and possibly the AC was broken as it was not comfortable being inside as I saw customers sitting outside instead. The front table was dirty with crumbs and the counter seemed a bit disheveled with other to-go drinks and an overflowing garbage. I think this coffee shop is more of a takeout or to-go shop. They do use Partner's coffee beans. Accepts cash, card and Applepay. No bathroom. Small space with no music. Indoor/outdoor, take out and delivery available. read more

Love this spot! They have seasonal drinks pretty often and their regular coffee drinks are consistently good. Some notable drinks that we've gotten are their mocha, coconut pandan matcha latte, banana latte, and their ube latte. They also have a small case of baked goods including chocolate croissants, pound cake, jelly filled donuts, etc. When the weather is warm, they place some seating outside but other than that they only have a bar seating that fits 5 (I think). Finally a local coffee shop that actually cares about the quality and flavor profile of what espresso should taste like. Normally I have to wait to get Partners coffee (one of the top flavor profile imo) a place in Queens that finally carries this deliciousness. So I've gone back many times in the last few weeks. Highlights- Iced americano black for obvious reasons, ube latte was quite decadent but a wonderful treat, and their iced matcha really surprised me too. Prices are great, I work in the city so I go out of my way to grab a drink before I end up spending $10 for the same thing in the city.
