I later found out the endo he sent me to was his golf buddy. He tried the same tactic on my husband (with the nitrogen) and I stopped him from proceeding. My husband has not needed anything but a new filling and has that molar to this day. On the other hand, my root canal back molar had to be removed from the extreme deterioration and the pain it was causing. The strong response to discredit my review clearly shows your lack of compassion, empathy and honesty (you could have taken an entire different direction here) and says a lot about your integrity or, rather, lack thereof. 3. You did indeed use liquid nitrogen on both of us, solely to induce pain. 4. While I didn't catch it in the chair, I was surprised they didn't use articulating paper to check the alignment - a standard step my new dentist used before filing this crown down. I've also since needed further endodontic work on two teeth crowned here. I know dental outcomes can be unpredictable, but it added to my overall hesitation. - Communication: I was asked to arrive 30 minutes early, requiring me to leave work. I later learned it wasn't for a medical need, but so staff could practice using a new 3D modeling tool. A simple heads-up would have been appreciated. - Administration: The office forgot to process a cancellation and attempted to charge me a no-show fee until I corrected them. Overall, I've moved to a new practice and am much happier with the care.

I went back for a periodontal deep cleaning (scaling and root planing) and that went well, too -- even the scary part getting numbed up with multiple needles at the beginning (I hate that part)! So I am very pleased to have finally found a dental practice I am comfortable with, after going through a few other attempts at finding a good dentist in Santa Cruz County. Highly recommend.
