I was excited to go here as my friend had shared the story behind the restaurant. I thought it was a cool concept and couldn't wait to try. It is located inside the Liberty Hotel which used to be a jail back in the day. It was repurposed to be a hotel plus various restaurants including Alibi. The restaurant had a nice entrance, it looked fancy. We had a reservation and when we entered the concierge was not at the stand so we had to wait quite a few minutes before we were seated. We were seated in a table with bunk like chairs as well as a wider chair (with a back) that looked like a throne chair, which I loved. Both my friend and I sat on the throne like chair because neither one of us can do chairs without back support. The bar area was there but far enough that we weren't disturbed by the noise in there as it was busier than the rest of the restaurant. We ordered Calamari Fritto, Duck Fat fries, and we both had the Tuna Steak as a starter. My friend had an espresso martini and I had a drink called Hacienda. The food was delicious. I loved every bite of everything I had never had Tuna Steak, it was definitely 10/10. The drinks were good too. One thing I will say is that the area where we were sitting had red lighting which made it extremely difficult to see the menu. There were parts of the menu that were not legible due to the contrast of the lighting against the menu page. I couldn't tell you what color our drinks or our food were unless I used the flash to see. It was tough to sit there for a prolonged period of time. Once we wrapped up, we went upstairs to walk around a bit. The area was nice and I got to see other sections of the jail. I do love the concept and would go back but would request to sit elsewhere. There is a small parking lot across the street. The bathroom was not the cleanest.

Very fun clubby bar at night! One floor up and the restaurant bar is a little quieter to start the night before you head downstairs. Pros: No cover! Great patio outside Lots of space Cons: DJ won't play song requests Notes: 20% gratuity automatically charged for all purchases at the bar

First time here. Terrible place. Cramped and music was extremely loud and the worst was that the bottle girls were so rude??? They aimed this popping blue powder at me when I was at my table and got blue powder all over me and my new jacket, when I asked if they could pay for the dry cleaning, one of the bigger blonde bottle girls came out from the back room and said it's my fault for being at table service and that my jacket was not worth them dry cleaning then proceeded to walk away.

It's always a party at Alibi!! Weekends are so much fun with the live DJ's and great tunes. The place literally turns into a club at night. Service is always so nice, love the people who work here, and the food its the bomb.com. It's actually made at Scampo which is on the next floor right above Alibi.

Food is decently good, but Service can do a little more tweaking. But the tuna tartare was great and so was the lamb pizza. The pork skin spaghetti was ok. We sat outside on the patio and they were puddles and at least the cushions were dry. They could've had somebody to mop it up. Also, they were trainees who kept on messing up couple of the orders, but they were very polite. Also, the bar outside had very limited alcohol. Would you believe they did not have a house sangria during summer? Anyway, it was nice was the decor and the old-school lounge singer who sang all my favorite tunes from Frank Sinatra.

Love it here! The service is fantastic, friendly people all around, especially Charlie, David and Mandy. Drinks were beautiful and delicious, food was fabulous too, loved the musician playing inside, not too loud but very enjoyable. We loved the patio outside on a beautiful Boston night.

Bartender was super nice and environment was fun/chill. The martinis were okay, nothing anything crazy. Seems like a fun post work drink spot!

Prisoner vibes? Check. Food coming out quickly? Check. Tasty drinks? Check. Delicious food? Check. Our group tried many of the dishes and all of it was so savory and delicious, although on the greasy, oilier, and rich side. But I couldn't stop inhaling the food!! For drinks, I liked the Crime of Passion but it didn't seem very strong. The alibi vibes were funny (including actual mug shots!) but I was surprised to find electric candles tbh for such an upscale place.

Cute vibe, and love both the indoor and outdoor space. The service was fantastic. The drinks were a bit sweet, and the food was just okay - but I definitely appreciated all the gluten free options available and ordered a clam pasta. Definitely a very instagrammable spot but not sure if I'd come back given all the tasty options around.

Bartender asked my friend if she was pregnant and then comped our drinks and said it's his obligation to ask if he sees a "pudge in the stomach"

Cocktails were really well made here. Vibe was decent for a hotel bar. Definitely oner the QR menus but not the restaurant's fault

There is literally fun everywhere you look from the panda stuffed animal riding a tiger on the wall to the hilarious shrek pillow. Coming right when they open I was able to see these things that you would likely not see in the evening. But to be fair I came right when they opened since it is first come first serve. A majority of the drinks were more on the savory side which was very interesting like "may all your bacon burn" with bacon bites at the top of the drink. The drinks my friend had were all stunning with the use of egg yolk to elevate the drink. We ended the evening by walking over to Bow Market and trying Viet Citron which was so DANG GOOD my gosh. The to go orders were insane but looks like they are doing very well despite recently opening in. I got the grilled lemongrass pork ribs bowl and youtiao and the side sauce was so good. The ribs were all very meaty. It looks small but I was surprised how full I was after having it. Nice night of drinks and food. Their bouncer checked my ID, wished me a happy belated birthday and said I could either be seated outside or find an open seat by the bar. I opted for the second option. I came in and told the bartenders I was already buzzing and trying to enjoy my last night in Boston. From their recommendation, I ordered the steak quesabirria - top knotch recommendation because as someone visiting from California, I really enjoyed this plate. I also had two rounds of the Broken Heart margarita, and got some calamari to go. Vibes are immaculate here, music choice for the nightly setting was on point. Customer service was superb. They started us off with a complimentary palate cleanser, a mango sorbet with tequila, which was such a fun way to kick things off. We got the elote grilled street corn because, well, you have to, and it did not disappoint. So yummy. I had the mahi mahi tacos, which came with a generous portion of protein. Fresh, flavorful, and filling without being heavy. To close it out they surprised us with free cotton candy, which was the perfect playful ending to a meal that felt like a whole experience. The little complimentary touches at the beginning and end made it feel special. Will be back.

The vibes were vibin, the lights were down low, they music was full blown 90s rnb and hip hop, and just let me tell you, the staff was legit! They just knew what to do, and did the thang! All the drinks we tried were absolutely delicious, I don't even know what I had, I just said make something great and they did! The bartenders were great with checking in on everyone. The doorman and another guy who was in and out of the bar were great with checking in on everyone, making you smile, and the overall atmosphere was great! We learned they don't have food here but that was okay. I was feeling adventurous so I decided to order the surprise drink made for you by the bartender. She asked me what type of alcohol I liked, and what sort of drink I wanted. I mentioned soemthing sweet with a tequila. She ended up making me this peach drink with milagro silver tequila. I asked her to name it and she landed on "peach spritz". It was really good my boyfriend even kept taking sips. Drinks were a little pricey but you're also paying for the rooftop. The view isn't anything crazy as it's only 7 floors up, but the fact that it's so peaceful and private makes it worth it. I really enjoyed my experience here and would come back.

Summer's here so it's time to hit up the rooftop bars and enjoy the beautiful weather! Sky Lounge…read moreis located on the top floor of the Yotel Hotel. Once you get in, there's a small lounge area on the left and then a larger lounge area straight ahead where the bar is. They have small tables with couches and local artwork ond display. For their drinks, their mixed drinks are average, but they only had 3 beers on draft which was a disappointment. They do serve some bar food and snacks, but like the drinks they're overpriced. I've been here twice and there's usually a wait for the rooftop. Once on a Saturday I was quoted up to a 3 hour wait that was actually 45 minutes and on a Sunday it was a 15 minute wait. I put my name down and got a friendly text when my turn was up. The view is pretty good, but not the best since it's not by the water so it's mostly looking at the city and large apartment complexes. The rooftop is small with 4-5 tables, a TV, and some seats. It seems like they allow around 40 people in at a time. Overall, this a cool place to hang out with friends this summer!

There are also tables on the terrace, but it is not always open during the winter months. When the door is unlocked, it is worth checking out the view for a couple of minutes. The bartenders can be a bit hit-and-miss, depending on the night. I wouldn't take that personally. Just order your drink and focus on your company. They will come around like 15 minutes before closing and asking you to close your tabs. Supposedly their lobby bar stays open later than 11 PM, but my friends and I tried going then got turned away by the lobby bar as well. I have always had GIN CRAZE $14 (Beefeater gin, lemon, simple, raspberry puree). It is pretty solid.
