Went in to get my two keyboards cleaned. It cost me $50 each but one was definitely dirtier than the other. The technician explained that they used special water which I assume means that they used an ultrasonic cleaning machine to clean the keyboards. They told me to come back in two days. Came back in two days, keyboards were really clean, not out of the box clean but definitely better than expected. Service was good, price was a bit high and so was the turnaround time. These guys are wonderful!! I'd been researching new laptops for months & really didn't want to have to buy from a Big Box store or from Amazon. From the first time I called this place the guy on the phone was super friendly, polite, & helpful so I decided to drive over and check them out. Guess what? The same guy on the phone from the week before turned out to be their very friendly "Guy" who helped me! (Seriously, that's his name!) I was really picky about all my desired specs and both Guy & Jeff, his boss, went out of their way to ensure that I'd get exactly what I wanted in a new laptop. They even dug around in their backroom stock and produced a magnificent laptop I'd never even heard of, but I'm sooooo happy with now! I was super impressed that they'd take the time to sit down with me and carefully listen to all my specs, & then really put their heads together to find me an exact match. I also got to meet one of their chief technicians who repairs our "Lifelines" - and y'all, he's a computer NINJA!! These guys REALLY know computers, inside & out (literally), and will graciously take good care of you and your device. They also have another friendly store in San Marino, & one in Tustin/Irvine. After 5 months of intensive research, I feel I can TRUST this company with a computer I'd never heard of(!) because they carefully vet ALL of the devices they sell, selecting ONLY those which have withstood the test of time re. reliability & durability. I've built multiple computers myself, however recently I ran into an issue I wasn't able to solve with a newly installed motherboard and CPU. Since I use my computer for work I had to find somewhere close that could help me solve the issue. Everyone at Alice Computer works is friendly and very thorough in showing you and explaining what they will do and how they did it. My computer was back up in a day after finding out one of my RAM was dead, and that my riser cable from motherboard to GPU was also not working properly. From having read the support manual the procedure was fairly easy but I didn't have the right screwdriver to replace it myself and I needed it done soon. So I took it in to Alice Computerworks. They returned my computer clean and working perfectly. Two cons were that they didn't call me when it was completed (I phoned in about 20 mins from closing) and I thought the price was a bit high for the work involved (though from working at a small business nearby I realize that rent is high and rising in San Marino). I went to Alice Computerworks to have my freeze iPhone 8 repaired. Upon diagnosis I was inform that the hard board was damaged and needs repair. It will cost me $150 and will take 2 day. I was in doubt of the diagnose so I went to Neucase in La Puente to have it check. Alfredo just reset my iPhone and did not charge me anything for less than 30 minutes work. As a token I gave him $20 for being honest. That's what you call professional, effective and efficient business operation. Very good customer service. Highly recommend. I brought in a laptop that I tried to self repair. The staff here took the time to run diagnostics and gave me a quote before asking if I wanted to go through with the repair. I decided not to go through with it because it was going to cost a little more than I wanted to pay. I picked up my laptop several days later. BEST DEAL FOR APPLE LAPTOPS My in-laws got their laptop here and told us to check them out. They got certain programs installed for free and since Apple Stores never hook you up we came. They were honest and informative and we bought the MacBook Air. He wouldn't budge on the price but hooked us up with waiving the tax and gave us some programs like Adobe and anti-virus. I think if you buy more than one laptop they could do more discounts... Check them out! I will be bringing my old laptop here to extract the data to a external hard drive. Fee starts at $40. Nicole was very patient with my Father, with my occasionally translating jargon from Nicole and questions from my Dad. Dad saw what Dad wanted. Nicole told Dad they could transfer the data from the Dell. Dad bought the 11" MacBook Air. I saw cover parts for my 13" Mac Air that even the Apple Store back home did not stock. So, I bought a key-pad cover as well as a transparent case cover. I even had 'Alice' clean the inside of my Mac Air while yes, Alice installed Microsoft Suite on both my and my Father's new laptop. I even bought two hours of tutorial with 'Alice' for my Dad to use at a later date. I found Nicole to be patient with a 90 year-old. As a result, My Father and I spent close to one thousand dollars with Alice this afternoon. I will not shop any other place for my computer needs when visiting my Dad again.
