While we didn't have a typical search for a home - we did work with Nipur directly from the pre-offer stage all the way through the end of key-handover, and he made it an incredibly simple and seamless experience. During the offer stage, he was not pushy at all, but rather gave me the right resources and real estate stats that proved crucial to coming up with my offer price. He was very easy to get in touch, even though both him and I were traveling right before and after the offer deadline. He was more like a friend when guiding me though the offer, giving me an honest account of the various formalities and which ones were important. He was resourceful - he called my insurance agent on my behalf to set up the insurance contact, he constantly kept in touch with my lender to ask them for exactly the items needed for the offer. After the offer he helped me through the escrow window - he went over the Home disclosure agreement with me, and even got his colleague to answer my very specific questions, both about the property as well as the loan agreement. He was accommodating when we asked for a second showing of the unit during our parents' visit. Throughout the process, it really felt like we were working with a friend and were comfortable in asking a lot of questions and his opinions. We had a great experience and would highly recommend Nipur as a friendly and professional agent :)

As we moved through the process he was a partner and helpful in discussing how to make the best offer for us that would position us as best as we were able. We didn't win every bid, but the offer was well positioned and where we were comfortable. When we finally did place a bid that could win, he helped us find the right way to stand out and win a highly competitive process for a unit we loved without having to just pay way over. Then we were recommended the Brinkman Team, and right from the start, they were responsive and professional. Choosing them turned out to be a great decision. We were assigned Joelle, and let me just say, she's a vibe for sure! From the first meeting, she was communicative, responsive, and honest. She toured multiple homes with us, pointing out issues like awkward layouts or homes that wouldn't suit us long term. Her honesty and advice were exactly what we needed. We finally came across a home we loved from the pictures and set up a tour. But that same evening, someone put in an offer, and it was showing as pending or active contingent depending on the various apps. This is where Joelle excelled, and I think this is the difference between an okay realtor and a great one. She encouraged us to go see it anyway, explaining that deals can fall through and it doesn't hurt to check it out. When we saw the home, it was by far the best one we'd looked at in our price range. Joelle went to bat for us, reaching out to the listing agent, staying on top of the situation, and sure enough, that buyer's contract fell through. The situation was a bit unusual, involving solar panels, but Joelle navigated it seamlessly. After the inspection, she walked us through every detail, helping us prioritize what to negotiate. In the end, she negotiated $40k off the list price! Nearing the end, the final appraisal came in above the negotiated price which was definitely a huge win for us! I bring all the above up because things can get messy, and you better hope you have a capable realtor to navigate through it. We were so lucky to have Joelle in our corner. Beyond the buying process, she connected us with a property management company for our current home and recommended contractors to prepare the new one before moving in. The only downside was the Compass app the team uses. It lacked functionality, didn't allow favorites in map view, and missed the neighborhoods we were interested in. All the homes we toured came from a different app, and we had to manually add them to Compass to keep Joelle informed. While this doesn't reflect on Joelle or the team directly, it was a bit of a frustration. Overall, Joelle and the Brinkman Team knocked it out of the park. If you're looking for a realtor who's honest, experienced, and client focused, Joelle is the one you want in your corner. Highly recommend!

As you've probably guessed, Lenore is a very patient agent. She's also very down-to-earth and has that old South Austin vibe (she's been in the biz for like 3 decades). I don't even remember how many homes we looked at, and Lenore's advice was on target for each one. She'd tell me to walk away from a house, even if it meant more work for her down the line. With Lenore's advice, I actually ended up being the winning bidder and went under contract for all three homes that I pursued. Three for three - that's an amazing score in this super-hot Austin market. She was very helpful with how much to bid and how to tailor all the other contingencies so that we would come out ahead of the other buyers, but without getting into a ridiculous bidding war. Unfortunately, the first two houses turned out to have severe structural issues upon closer inspection, and I backed out of them (with Lenore's encouragement). The third house wasn't as pretty, but Lenore told me to go for it because it had great guts - I ended up closing on that and feel very happy about it 6 months on. I submitted a maintenance request for black mold on August 27th. They ignored my request for an…read moreentire MONTH during which time I got extremely sick. I told them this and they did not care. They then tried to send someone out who is NOT licensed in mold assessment and remediation to remove the toxic black mold and tried to tell me that it was algae. I am an ecologist. That is just laughable. I gave them several attempts to correct the situation and they continued to gaslight me, did not thoroughly evaulate the extent of the mold as I had to keep calling them back out there for more mold that was discovered, neglected and ignored all communication from me for six weeks until I went on a social media mass embarrassment campaign, and tried to send in someone untrained to remove the most toxic mold there is. They are still refusing to work with me. Beware! They are lazy, negligent, incompetent and do not care about non-luxury listings. If you find mold in your house, report them to the Texas State Health Department and call out a Code Compliance Officer.
