We were randomly walking by and decided to stop and I'm so happy we did! The inside is one of the cutest places I've seen. The Alice in wonderland theme is so cute! The drinks all sounded really unique. I had the glitter cat and really enjoyed it. Also loved the glitter that they added to a lot of the cocktails. The service was great - no complaints there. There's plenty of sitting inside & a really nice patio area. The gift shop is also super cute and has so many Alice in wonderland trinkets to look at. This is such a fun to place to stop in, especially if you're visiting the area.

Such a fun adventure! Love the decor & I'm a pushover for a themed bar. Our bartender was so very pleasant & the ambiance was whimsical & chill. Something to giggle & delight over everywhere you turn. I had an Arsenic & Lace and loved it. Great experience and I'm looking forward to bring friends with us. Pretty exciting photo op, too.

Drink prices were reasonable; bartenders were awesome; establishment is gorgeous! Very 'Alice in Wonderland' vibe in a small space that never felt close. And the drinks were delicious. I had the berry mojito but the Jabberwocky was delicious too.

This place is wild! It's so cute and quirky on the inside with very reasonable drink prices considering how unique they all were. We went here for a cocktail hour before a wedding and had a lovely time and everyone loved their drinks

Alice in Appalachia is such a fun bar! It's so colorful and whimsical, and you have to visit if you haven't been! I couldn't make up my mind about what to order, so the bartender made me a custom drink that was delicious! They have a fun back room with additional seating, too!

    Great atmosphere and service.

It was a breast atmosphere & service! The aesthetics were just as cute in person as in photos!

What an amazing place! We wandered past and immediately felt the urge to fall down the rabbit hole! The atmosphere drew us in with all things Alice. But the craft cocktails were the real magic! Riley always the perfect alcohol alchemist- transforming booze, bitters, and bits of herbs and fruits into truly wondrous elixirs! Try the Southern Charm! When these cocktails say "Drink Me" you definitely should do it!

We just happened to walk by and see the outside of this bar. It looked intriguing. Walked in and it had such a good vibe. The decor was amazing. So much to look at. Immediately greeted by the 2 bartenders. They were also great. We had 4 drinks and all 4 looked and tasted GREAT. Can't wait to come back!

Didn't actually get to grab a drink here. I walked by too early. I was out for a stroll exploring the town and the owner (or relative of the owner, Jim, an older man) let me in to take pictures and showed me around the place. He was so sweet and told me stories about the history of the town, places to see/visit, etc. I enjoyed getting to know him and I can tell this place is well loved and is owned by a great family.

Cute and whimsical atmosphere from the bar to the gift shop. It's a small place and they don't serve food, but you'll be able to try some unique cocktails with a fun theme. They have some indoor and outdoor seating as well as a photo op wall. The Jabberwocky and glitter cat are both tasty with the latter being more on the sweet side. The moon hatter is also a good option with a strong gin flavor.

So cool! Parking may be a challenge as this is in a little town square Overall this is a great whimsical experience. The place is well decorated to make you feel in the wonderland with Alice! The bartenders are so friendly and they are always down to join you for a shot! So make sure to buy your bartender a shot and tip them well! We did not have food but the drinks were pretty nice( most of them) I did have a couple of drinks I was not a fan of but overall they are so cute and well made! And if drinking is not ur thing they also have a gift shop that is themed to the bar right across from the bar. This is a cool place and Iwill definitely come back here.

Came in late on a Wednesday night. Both of the bartenders were really friendly and the inside is decorated very theme-ish. The whole drink menu is also themed. Ordered a Very merry Un-Birthday while my husband had a glittery cat. Interested in coming back for the food and store.

I have been closely watching and waiting for the opening of this fantastical spot. In the heart of Market Square, you will initially be drawn in by the colorful patio umbrellas and window murals. Beyond the patio, which has numerous table and chairs for enjoying drinks, the inside is broken into three spaces-a gift shop with whimsical tea party and garden-themed items, a bar area with more tables, and a spot in the back with amble seating for events. Having just experienced a soft opening, they don't yet serve food (only drinks at the bar), but plan to host tea parties and have finger foods. In the meantime, I will enjoy the quirky gift shop, colorful decor, and drinks with fabulous, Alice in Wonderland drink names. The bartenders were awesome. Evie steered us in the right direction with the menu and served us up some great cocktails. While we waited, we enjoyed a fun selfie corner with a neon sign and hats to try on. We got our drinks-CuRiouseR (bourbon-based with tea and peach syrup) and Jabberwocky (vodka, espresso, chocolate, vanilla) and enjoyed them on the patio, overlooking the hustle and bustle of Market Square on a beautiful day. Can't wait to come back soon and plan a tea party event here someday!

I just know the person I was with had it. We sat at the bar and the ambiance is really intimate. I have read now after being home that I guess they hide drink recipes in some of the books? I am not sure if that is true or not. If you can get a seat at the bar, it's so fun. Trey was great, as were the ladies! Trey puts on a little show with each drink he crafts. When we walked in, she glared at us as if we had interrupted something. She didn't greet us, didn't ask what we'd like to try, only gave us one word answers to any question that we asked. Never once smiled or tried to engage us. My friend was so frustrated with trying to get information from her that he stood up and almost walked out. I kept trying to engage her and even complemented her cute dress. Nothing. Stone face. I wanted to try the amaro flight and asked for it. She prepared it, set it in front of me, and said "so you'll want to close out now?" I told her "yes, that would be great, when I'm finished with my tasting". She proceeded to lean up against the bar with her back to us and didn't say another word. I had to get up and walk to the register, and when she finally turned around, I asked her "have we done something to upset you?" She said "no, why?" I said "because you seem REALLY annoyed that we're here". Her only response was to turn the register screen around and tell me the total. I'm so sad about this because I really wanted to taste other items and get a cocktail, but she was SO unpleasant and we felt SO unwelcome., Seeing all of the other great reviews, I can only imagine that they were with other people. We ordered slushies to enjoy on the patio and a flight with Hi Rye Whiskey, Ginferous Gin (favorite!), Uproot Gin, and Barrel Rested Cacoa Liqueur. I can't believe the differing flavors they can produce within the same type of booze. Masterful! The bartenders are friendly and so dang knowledgable. We purchased a bottle of Ginferous Gin and have kept the party going at home. Can't wait to go back! What a cool spot.

They have some really fun drinks with pop-culture references, a sizable list of mocktails, booze list galore, and keep beer flowing , too. The service is friendly and the prices in line (if not cheaper) with other bars downtown ($11-12 per cocktail). We loved that people are allowed to bring in their own food (they have a few snacks you can order) and that dogs are welcome. In fact, word has it that the bar is named after the owners' dog, Monkey, so it makes sense that they pass along their pup love to our community. Note that huge (but very sweet) dogs may be freely roaming and were knocking into people carrying full drinks and begging strangers for food. Also, we were with a group across from the bar and I will say that it was absolutely deafening. We were next to each other and were yelling, "CAN YOU HEAR ME NOW!?" They could use a few items to soak up some sound like cushions on the bench seating, some rugs, etc. It would also make the space a bit more homey and inviting.

The dark, glamorous aesthetic is stunning--perfect for date night or for impressing out-of-town guests. I loved the gold accents, layered textures, and thoughtful lighting. Everything worked together beautifully. We chose to sit at the bar to watch the mixologists work their magic. They were incredibly helpful in guiding us toward drinks that matched our preferences. I absolutely loved my cocktail--even if I can't recall the name--because it delivered the spicy kick they promised. We also ordered several shareable plates, all of which were delicious. We tried the Carnitas Tamales (shredded pork, ancho mole, fresh corn, masa, cilantro, yuzu arbequina oil), the Vegetable Empanadas (house-made pastry, wilted kale, roasted sweet potato, Oaxaca and cotija cheese, black bean purée, and adobo & chile-lime aioli), and a salad. I'd happily order any of them again. I did find myself wishing for a bit more heat, but I've learned that's hard to come by in Tennessee. At least the staff gave us a heads-up that the spice level is toned down. I'm already looking forward to coming back and exploring more of the menu. The vibe is fantastic--and while they have a nice outdoor space, the interior is so eye-catching I'm not sure I'd want to sit anywhere else.

The souvlaki minis were basically Mediterranean street tacos. That lamb was some of the most tender lamb I've ever had. My aunt treated me to a birthday drink but I couldn't decide on a cocktail so they suggested a cocktail flight, which was a great option. I don't remember exactly which if you get my drift...but I enjoyed each one. Sea bass is my favorite fish and they did a great job with the lavraki, and the orzo pasta was light and buttery. My only criticism would be that the broccolini was still crunchy and could have used more seasoning and the dollop of saffron butter was hardly noticeable unfortunately. I also had a bite of the butter lobster pasta and really enjoyed the richness. I was surprised when the server said they don't make their own pasta because the bucatini was very tasty too. And for dessert, they brought loukomades, or Greek donuts. Very simple in concept but how can you go wrong with frying something, covering it with honey, then dipping in caramel and chocolate. While Kefi is more of a special treat-type place for me due to the cost, my real decision will be: do I go with what I know I like or do I try something else delicious next time?
