This is a perfectly fine wine bar with creatively designed dishes and a really nice wine list. We (party of four) stopped in for lunch on a Friday and had the mushrooms stuffed with artichoke and spinach, meatballs (with spicy ginger sauce), pulled pork nachos, polenta cake, and a short rib sugo with bucatini. Cocktails were well done and the wine pairings recommended astute. Nothing to complain about except some of the items were cold - there was one person serving the entire bar and restaurant and obviously had some timing issues. Also some attitude: after delivering cocktails to my wife and me he forgot her mom's - after I reminded him he said "oh I know" and then proceeded to serve four other patrons' order at the bar and then another two top's before even starting hers. It finally arrived after the cold mushrooms were delivered. I'm chalking this up to a short staffed situation and a specific individual, so if you live nearby or are traveling through looking for a nice spot for dinner or lunch I would definitely recommend. Well after an 8 year absence I met my wife and sister-in-law there around 4pm. They had already been served a glass of wine each but in the 20 minutes that I sat there no one came and asked if I wanted anything nor did anyone come by and check on my wife and sister-in-law. Had mixed results on dinner. Stuffed mushrooms were a hit. Nice size and flavorful. Beef tenderloin medallion and Brussel sprouts were also well done, with the exception that the steak was ordered medium and was served medium rare. The balance of the meal was less impressive. The tuna ceviche was basically 4 ounces of cubed tuna and cucumber...somehow missing the "ceviche" part of it...no bite or depth at all. The second disappointment was the squid ink risotto and lobster. The lobster consisted of about 1 1/2 ounces of a small claw and something that looked like extruded lobster product. When asked about it, i was told it was not. My second guess this morning is that it was the meat in the legs...this was a first. All in all we would probably return. First time here. Ambiance is a cellar-like wine bar with wood & cork walls and bar. Nicely done. After being seated and given water, we weren't able to the place order for another 10 minutes, due to there only being 1 server. The food was delicious. The service was good when we got it, but it intermittent. It was $1 for an extra dressing. May come back, but not when I have to go back to work that day. Not good for quick lunches. read more

Very cute place - kind of romantic. We started with the Dippity Do which came with some pretzel bites and beer cheese sauce. There was also a whipped cheesy thing and spinach/artichoke dip. It came with some pita crackers, crackers, and celery sticks as well. All delicious. I decided to get salmon for dinner which came on top of a bed of rice and green beans. The salmon was cooked nicely with lots of flavors. My side were a little plain. Our waitress was super friendly and cleaned up our table pretty quickly and kept our drinks full. Nice place. A group of five of us visited this gem of a place today for a weekday birthday lunch. We were seated quickly and waited on by Daniel, who was very friendly and knowledgeable about the different menu options that were offered. We had our drink orders taken soon after we were seated, choosing from an extensive wine and cocktail menu. We enjoyed the Dippity Do for our appetizer which features 3 of their different dips/cheeses while sipping our wonderful wine and cocktails. For lunch we had the pulled pork nachos, short rib ragu and three of us had the lunch cocktail combo with 1/2 sautéed shrimp flatbread and the harvest vegetable bisque. Everything was amazing and Daniel was very attentive and made sure we didn't need anything during our time there. The birthday girl got a complimentary birthday dessert (tiramisu) complete with a glowing candle! I would 100% recommend this fine establishment. read more

They also have a full food menu with amazing salads, steaks and more; as well as small bites and charcuterie. Live music every Wednesday, and Jazz every Saturday night. Happy hour can't be beat, everyday from 3 to 6 as well as all day on Monday. One of my favorite things about the place is the fact there there's no TVs. So people actually talk. Loved this spot for my pre birthday drinks and apps. Bar staff were fabulously friendly and welcoming. Its was pretty busy and everyone seemed to know everyone. I wanted everything on the menu as the food being served look delicious. Settled on a bartender recommendation appetizer and some wine, old fashion and a special margarita. Everything was great. They had live local music and it can definitely be a large crowd. It's not a huge place so I say come early. I need to try more of the menu next time. read more

First time here , overall experience was good . Staff were friendly, decor & ambiance really nice . Appreciated the cleanliness , especially the restrooms. We had the pork chop and salmon dinner. Both meals tasted great, the salmon and pork chop were cooked perfectly. Deducted points for the rice, it wasn't cooked all the way, found pieces of chewy rice and uncooked rice. We also tried the tiramisu trifle. I didn't really care for it & couldn't tastes the rum in it and the ratio of tiramisu cream to ladyfinger biscuits was not what I expected . Having said that we did finish the desert though . When serving the coffee there was only sweeteners in the basket, & had to ask for sugar. Overall feedback is for constructive feedback , sometimes it's the small details that can make a good restaurant great . read more

We had Tuesday Tacos/Margarias for $16 (the Tuesday night special), and they were delicious! we had options of any margaritas we wanted flavor wise! Water Into Wine was a gem to find! Our group of 4 enjoyed the most delicious "Kevin's Bloody Mary's" I also enjoyed a light, refreshing drink called the Desperate Housewife. It was drink worthy enough that I will be trying to duplicate this drink at home. We ordered the Dippity Do platter with the spinach dip added on. That, along with the hummus, a pimento cheese purée flavored dip, and lastly, a delicious beer cheese with 3 hot baked pretzels (although it needed more). There were also tortilla chips on the platter, but they were pretty much all crumbs. I was surprised anyone would serve them at all. They later brought us out an extra plate of tortilla chips, but we were almost ready to leave at that point. The cocktail bar is very clean, and our service was wonderful. read more

Such a great addition to this Farragut neighborhood! Located near the primary school you can avoid the chaotic masses lingering within Turkey Creek and enjoy a great glass of wine on the small patio or inside. We went on a Wednesday night and it was hoppin' and had great live music. There are high-top tables around the walls and a HUGE bar surrounded with seating. However, we thought the coolest part was the small lounge area in the back with wine barrel trays/tables, couches and just an overall comfy, cool vibe. It took a bit of time for us to be greeted and seated, but we appreciated that the workers were interacting with the regulars like they were family. We ordered the pretzel and beer cheese app and a few glasses of wine. The service from our server was good and our app was fine, but we would probably not get it again. Too many other delicious sounding drinks and food to try next time! We are looking forward to coming back with some friends sometime soon. read more

You can sit outside on a smattering of tables or inside on booths or tables. There's spots at the bar too. I tried the vegetable lasagna. I thought it was outstanding. I've taken pictures of the meal itself along with a look inside. I think more pictures should be taken of food after a bite or two has been consumed. The lasagna is filled with a variety of vegetables including peppers, squash, onions and tomato sauce. It's big enough that if you ate the whole thing you don't feel stuffed but not so small that when you're done you feel like you're still hungry. It was a relaxing dine in/out. I was quickly shuttled inside when the rain started to fall. They pay attention to detail. That's nice. Example; I ordered a Sazerac. When it arrived it had 1 large whiskey/bourbon rock in it. The bourbon fan that I am found that a pleasant surprise. Sure, they're known for their wide variety of wines but, they do not take their eye off those of us who have a preference otherwise. read more

I hadn't visited Water into Wine ("W2W") in about two years, but when I posted my first photo of my appetizer on Yelp, W2W owner, Candice, popped up and yelled out my name and then came right over to say hello and pick up our conversation like I had just been in last week. Hard to beat that kind of personal service...really makes you feel special. DRINK: W2W has a full bar with an extensive wine list (of course). I decided to "create my own flight" of three 2 oz. pours of red wine ($12), a Nero d' Avola, a Malbec, and a Bordeaux. All were good, but I decided to go with a 9 oz. glass of the Bordeaux to pair with my entrée ($11.30). FOOD: I started with the Spinach Artichoke Dip, served warm with corn chips and pita chips ($10), and it was very good. For my entrée, I chose the Blue Cheese Crumbled Meat Loaf ($18), served over rice pilaf with a side of green beans. So good, I literally cleaned the plate.
