This was a really nice business in a cute part of town. I really enjoyed my chemical peel treatment with Ada and she made me feel very relaxed. She's super nice and makes sure to check up on you while applying the treatment The reason I'm not giving it 5 stars is that I had some questions about what is ok to use after that she didn't have great responses for. But I would love to give her 5 stars because she is so nice I saw some other reviews that said the salon looks cluttered and unprofessional, while I agree I would say it doesn't take away from the treatment at all. Great experience! Alight Spa is a small space on the second floor located in an office building. I wouldn't call it a "spa" as I didn't get that type of feeling. The rooms are basic with the necessities to get the job done. There wasn't any relaxing music playing, natural scents, or elements to give the spa feeling. Only a nice selection of tea bags on a tray in the waiting room area. As a tea enthusiast I caught sight of a unique one that I took with me to try. Angela was friendly and talked to me while doing my Brazilian Wax which helped not to focus on it. Made sure I was okay and comfortable the entire time. She's fast and thorough. Also, quite knowledgeable about various hair removal processes which I inquired about. While I saw Angela sanitize her hands after each interaction; I would suggest as an extra precautionary procedure to take everyone's temperature and ask clients to wash hands upon arrival due to the nature of services being provided. It's impossible not to touch anything. It's just for everyone's safety. I took one star off for that reason. Overall, I was pleased as my goal was to get my Brazilian Wax done properly and quickly in a safe environment. My needs was met and I would definitely get it done there again. read more

I have been going to Alight spa for several years for waxing. It is a small salon owned by two sisters. I felt particularly comfortable / safe during COVID coming here as there are only one to two other people in the salon normally. They sprayed my hands and shoes with sanitizer on arrival. Angela has always been wonderful with waxing. Her sister did my pedicure which was a first for me at their salon. I normally go elsewhere but was nervous in a big nail salon with COVID. It was great, and she also does a short reflexology/foot massage during the pedicure. I highly recommend! read more

Groupon for a chemical peel. Upon entering I noticed the relaxing smell and a coffee/tea/water corner in the waiting area. I filled out the consent forms and I was on my way to the room. The peel felt amazing. My skin feels tighter and firmer. During the process there was quite a bit of talking for my taste to plug packages and such. I'm not a talker when I'm getting pampered. I learned a bit about my skin. The peel stung as expected but nothing that I wasn't warned about. Parking was plentiful behind the building. The spa is on the second floor of a building. read more

I had a very nice and relaxing experience here. I found them through Groupon. Scheduling through Groupon was a bit of an annoyance. They would offer times that weren't available so I ended up booking through their website, which was easy. It was a little hard to find the place initially because the signage with their name was a bit small. We found it and was happy that there was parking available. We were greeted upon entering and filled out questionnaires. My boyfriend had his pedicure first and he said it was much better than a pedicure he had previously. I wasn't supposed to be seen until 3:00p but I guess they had time so they saw me immediately after him (2:30p). I really appreciated their flexibility and letting me have my pedicure early. The pedicure itself was amazing. My feet look nice and she took great care of my feet. The nails were cut to a nice level and she was meticulous when applying the polish. Her foot massage was really nice too. I felt sooo relaxed during my pedicure. I really could have fallen asleep if I wanted to lol. That's how calm and relaxed I felt. The normal prices are affordable and they also offer packages. I think we may invest in a package and we'll be back soon. I really liked how small it was. I've only been here for one facial thus far, but my plan is to schedule them monthly. I was a little worried about how this experience would go just because I've never had a facial before, but the ladies here are great. My facial experience was amazing; it was interesting to learn about skin and to go through the experience. My face felt amazing afterwards and it seems to be on a better path following my first appointment. Everyone here is so kind and caring. I've had great facials from both Ada and Sanam (but mostly have been working with Sanam). Unfortunately I've had hormonal acne for years. It's forced me to really be mindful of my diet and stress levels, but I still seem to experience monthly breakouts, regardless. Facials aren't a superfluous splurge for me, they're a must. I've purchased a few packages now, and Sanam has really helped me get my breakouts under control. My skin has been looking so much healthier. I've had regular facials elsewhere, but there is something about Sanam that is so calm and lovely that puts me at ease and makes the whole experience enjoyable. I just finished a full body wrap and I feel aaaaahmazing seriously so good. I sweat CRAZY and it got to me a little bit not being able to move for so long but that's all me, nothing was wrong with the service. Adda did an excellent job from start to finish. I began going to Alight because of a LS or Groupon deal for Brazilian Waxes. I have now been 4 times and just purchased my second package. The prices are reasonable, the appointments are very easy to schedule (you can text them after you've been there and many times they have something available that day) and I always have found all of the employees to be super friendly and professional. The technician does a great job- keeps it very fast and about as painless as a Brazilian can get. The waxing room was always completely clean and they use good products. The only reason I don't have 5 starts is because I think the ambiance leaves something to be desired- they offer so many services that the place seems overcrowded with stuff. read more

I brought a Groupon for this spa before reading reviews about this place. I showed up to my appointment about 15 minutes early with only one person ahead of me. All of the employees seemed to be busy. No big deal, traffic was awful getting there so I could use the few extra minutes to destress and mentally prepare myself for the pain. After waiting for a total of 45 mins, I was becoming agitated and if it wasn't for me needing to be waxed badly, I probably would've left. The lady at the front desk must've sensed my agitation and let me know that the technician wouldn't be much longer. Hmmm, interesting. There were about 4 women in uniforms but somehow only one of them waxed *side eye*....about 5 minutes later, and young Black woman walks in introduces herself and shows me the back. After some small talk and me undressing it was time to get to waxing. IT. HURT. LIKE. HELL! OMG! Now this was only my second wax but the young lady (whose name I can't remember right now) was NOT gentle at all. I literally wanted to leave with the wax still on and try to get it off myself at home. To add insult to literal injury, the lady acted as if her damn near killing me was a bother to her. Ummm ma'am I'm sorry that I'm about to die. To make thing worse, after not trimming me down first, then forcibly ripping my hair from its follicles and catching an attitude with me for no reason, she decides to use a strip to get whatever hair she THOUGHT she saw. OMGGGG, soon unneccessary! I couldn't wait to get out of there. The walk back to my care was beyond painful. Sadly, Ms. Kitty wasn't pleased and we will NOT be returning to this place ever again. *Two stars because the lady who works the front was super nice and helpful. I was welcomed and taken to the technician's station. There was a great selection of colors without a lot of overlap and clutter. I had a Groupon and seemed to be treated as any other customer. I had an enjoyable pedicure and an acceptable reflexology (I will ask for more pressure next time). The technician was able to squeeze in a manicure as well for my much neglected fingernails. She asked some questions to get the mani/pedi just as I liked. As to the atmosphere, the salon is small and fits a lot in. I was very relieved it did not smell of formaldehyde and acrylic like so many salons. I have had a terrible time trying to find a salon that I could stay in without be knocked over by the chemical smell. I bought a massage here as a gift to myself for Mother's Day and almost immediately after the massage, I felt severe pain and spasms in my neck. It got progressively worse throughout the day. I have been having massages for over 15 years and have never felt this pain after a massage. I contacted the manager about what happened and she said she would call me back on Monday about what could be done. I am hoping to hear baxk from Alight Spa but it would have been nice to have had an appointment made over the phone as an assurance that their masseuse would work on the pain that was not there before I had the massage. Not so great. I had a reflexology appointment (thanks to Living Social) and combined it with a manicure and pedicure. Reflexology appointment was at 5pm for 30 minutes. I walked out close to 8pm. Couldn't figure out where the time went. The nail technician was sweet enough and gave me a better massage than the reflexology person. However they lack the tools and the ability to sanitize when they book appointments back to back. So while the tools are cleaned, they aren't sanitized from the last person. Um, yuck. My cuticles are exceedingly dry and I need to soak pretty long before they can be cut away safely. The bowl wasn't available because it was being disinfected from the last person. The cuticle cutter and emery boards seemed dull as well and she kept cutting me. I won't be going back. read more

I showed up to my Brazilian waxing appointment so sweaty from jogging, so I felt bad for my technician. I forgot her name, sorry yelpers. I had a groupon and no hassle using it. The salon seemed clean and it was a decent space with private rooms. The restroom is outside the salon, in the office building. The bed was comfy and the room was well lit. The waxing took about 15 minutes and didn't hurt too badly. There were a few hairs left over though. I liked the pricing with the groupon, and I think the full price isn't too expensive either, so I would return. read more

Purchased a living social voucher for a 70minute deluxe facial for my birthday. I made my appointment online and showed up to my appointment soon after on 1/10/18. I was serviced by Aida for my facial. She was super sweet and gentle on my face. We had great conversation about What I'm doing right as far as what I put on my face and she recommended what I could do better without trying to sell me anything.
