I got my lower legs waxed for the first time EVER on Saturday. When I entered the shop, there was no one in the lobby to check in with so I hung around for about five minutes (I'd arrived about 10 minutes early, as the website says to do). There are Fiji water bottles in the lobby but no sign by them. I wasn't sure if they were included in the cost of the appointment or cost extra so I didn't take one. Maybe if I was bolder, I wouldve inquired. They sell a number of sugar scrubs and other products that you can use after your sugaring/waxing appointment at home. At 2:30pm, a technician came out with another customer who'd just finished and greeted me after closing out her appointment. I was definitely nervous but my technician put me at ease with light conversation and music (they let you choose what music you want when you schedule your appointment). I had initially made my appointment for sugaring but I was told that my hairs were too short and that wax would work better. I was a bit disappointed because I'd read about sugaring, but happy that my technician was able to provide good advice. It didn't hurt nearly as much as I expected it to. Great attention to detail! I also really like that you actually have the option to wax or sugar. I'm not picky, so my technician actually did both and I though the service was professional, quick, but thorough. I'm not a frequent hair removal gal but I\d come back! Street parking was hard to find so I ended up in a garage across the street which had a strange phone in/out system that I didn't love, but I didn't have to pay so I can't complain that much about that one little parking quirk. read more

MARIA IS AMAZING!!! I had a Brazilian wax today with Maria and it was amazing (imagine saying that about a Brazilian wax!!!!). She uses hard wax first, followed by sugaring to clean up any missed hairs. This was a new process for me but the result was excellent - no more stray hairs! I loved how Maria kept the conversation going during our appointment to try and keep me distracted from the waxing discomfort. Most importantly, this was probably the least painful Brazilian I've ever experienced. Aside from Maria's superb technique, the salon is bright and clean. Do NOT go see Nina. I haven't waxed in ages and she really hurt me by practically waxing the skin off my arms sticking the sharpest tweezers in my skin to pluck extra hairs, and insisted to continue after I asked her several times to stop. I'm aware that waxing isn't the most enjoyable experience but I thought she was intentionally trying to hurt me and just had a bad day or something. read more

So I had the pleasure of trying Waxpro Waxbar a few days ago on August 13th. I was really interested in trying a sugar wax for the first time and this business had the option. I look through some review and saw some pictures and was content enough to reach out. Firstly, I reached out to the business through Yelp a couple days prior on the 11th and they responded quickly. I inquired about my interest in getting a sugar wax and they listed their available times based on my preferred availability. I chose a time and provided some contact information and the business rep scheduled me through Yelp and sent a confirmation email to me. Easy and convenient. First check. Next, when I actually ended up going, I found the business to be quite clean and the environment was very modern and felt rather fancy. Great decor! The door was locked and I had to knock as a pandemic precaution, no problem. I was quickly greeted at the door by the receptionist. She was super nice. I filled out some consents virtually and she offered me some water, provided me with rose water towelettes for "freshening up" (it smelled awesome) and asked my preferred music artist for my session. Never had that happen before. But loved it. My wax professional was name Katherine. She was really nice and personable. She was also very helpful and explained everything to me. I had no idea I could do a sugar wax, regular wax combo! She explained the difference in waxes and gave me the option of what I wanted. I chose the combo because why not. She was very professional and she was did a very thorough job. I definitely will be back and will be working with Katherine again. She was great! Drove 35 minutes from my apartment and when I finally got there at 7:10 I found parking in the parking garage. It's located in symmetry salon and when I tried to open the door it was locked. I got my first Brazilian a month ago with Nina and it was so amazing. The receptionist was extremely kind and attentive right when I walked in. Those 2 combined is enough for 5 stars in the covid world but they definitely went above and beyond in many respects. Clean, new interior. Nice decor! I called once I arrived for my early appointment and front desk took my temperature and was very courteous. They have a detailed questionnaire and the only one i've seen including travel history which come on is of utmost importance these days. I felt much more at ease knowing they ask every customer about not only symptoms but exposure. Given how stealthy this virus can be, I felt better knowing they screen customers thoroughly. Then the waxing plus sugar cleanup worked wonders. Waxing is never pain free but being quick is as good of a solution. I've definitely been in sessions for 20 min or longer and just dreading every strip. Veronica was professional and engaging throughout the whole thing and I was surprised when she was done. Always a plus when you realize you're done! Good online booking system with reminder and confirmations. I tried the eyelash lift which was looked better than I expected. Due to COVID you just call or text at arrival and they will allow you to come in. Cleansing wipes and water is offered before session. The store itself has lots of pre and after wax care. I highly recommend first timers that are afraid to come here. The staffs make you feel comfortable and willing to answer to all your questions. The price is in the high side but so worth it.
