Maya in particular does an excellent job. She's patient and very detail-oriented with all of her cats and dogs. She also does a great job handling my cat and clipping his nails which makes the whole experience much easier.

During our initial training session, we encountered a trainer who stated that "dogs don't have feelings," and basically told us if our dog was not in our eyesight at any point in time they should be caged which made us uncomfortable. As a result, we requested a refund. We were advised that we could transfer to a different trainer, but when we attempted to reschedule with another trainer, we were informed that our session timeframe had expired, and therefore, we were not eligible for a refund or to schedule additional sessions without purchasing a new package. Furthermore, the receptionist explained that I misunderstood the trainer's comments, asserting that the trainer would never have said "dogs have no feelings," despite having heard the statement multiple times during the session. The receptionist continued to speculate about what the trainer might have said, disregarding our firsthand experience. Due to these concerns, I cannot recommend this facility to friends or family. **Update** We were also informed that additional links for the training collar could only be purchased at the location because they specialize in links imported from Germany. When I called attempting to reschedule a visit, the receptionist stated that individual links could be purchased there. However, upon our visit today, we were told that only complete collars are available for purchase, and separate links are not sold but we could purchase a new collar for $47.00 as if we didn't already waste enough money.

I was equally amazed at how thorough their system was for tracking the volunteers, their time, and the interaction each animal rec'd from the volunteers. The regular volunteers all knew the animals, esp the dogs, and seemed to not only care for them, but genuinely invested in their well being. The staff were also amazing. They too knew each animal, its story, its disposition & needs, and also seemed equally invested helping the animals find their "forever homes". I volunteered inconsistently for several months. I knew when it was time to adopt, I'd only adopt from Friendship. Although these animals are in a shelter, they are truly treated w genuine love. Finally its time to adopt our dog. The Friendship APL staff was very helpful. They, along w the volunteers, were so excited our dog had found a "forever home & family". We had to sign a detailed agreement, including a statement that said if we should decide to get rid of our dog, we'd only give him back to Friendship. They are committed to these animals! 36 hours after we got our dog home a volunteer emailed me to see how our dog was doing and to remind us to take him to the vet. I was so impressed and touched. I sent a few pictures of him adjusting to his new home, and the volunteer & I emailed a few times. I wanted to adopt only from Friendship APL bc I knew the dog I'd get, regardless of his previous life's circumstances, would have truly known love before coming to my home, before becoming a part of our family. We've had our guy almost 8 months and its been great. Friendship APL is a phenomenal choice!

I researched a lot of dog training facilities before choosing Paramount Dog Training, and I'm so…read moreglad I did. One of the most important things to me was finding a program that could help me have a well-behaved, obedient dog while still allowing her to be my baby and beloved family pet. I found that many training facilities seemed to focus on a very strict, military-style or working-dog approach, which wasn't what I was looking for. The team at Paramount understood that both things can be true at the same time, you can have a dog that is well-trained, respectful, and reliable while still being a cherished companion. Their training methods, guidance, and support have made such a difference in our lives. Four years later, I still stop in for refresher classes and to visit the team and friends I've made along the way. The simple tips they taught me, combined with consistency at home, have continued to pay off year after year. I receive compliments almost daily on how well-behaved my dog is, and she even comes to work with me every day. I am incredibly grateful for everything Paramount has done for us. If you're considering dog training, don't think twice about choosing Paramount Dog Training. It was one of the best decisions I've made, and I know you'll be thankful you did too!

We waited until they were finished and I approached the trainer Mel who was conducting the training. I told him I was having a challenge teaching my Labrador to not pull on her leash. He looked at me and my dog and said "No wonder, its a hunting dog." I didn't let this bother me and got the information for training with his company. We met with Alec for our initial evaluation and were happy with him. He was personable and liked our dog. We liked him. Before committing to training sessions we attended two "pack walks". This is where owners and dogs meet at a park to perform training drills in a group. During these pack walks Alec was there but Mel was clearly in charge. As I walked towards the group with my pup she barked. This clearly annoyed Mel. Alec helped us by placing a prong collar and walking my dog as she calmed. I heard Mel say to Alec "Are we OK" Ignoring me completely. Alec said yes. Mel seemed to act like a drill sergeant. No personality or kindness to him. I got a Kind of a Steven Seagal vibe from him. While performing a sit stay where the owner walks away from their dog then calling them. My pup of less than a year old couldn't do it. When I walked away she followed. Mel took it upon himself to go to my dog and lift sharply on her leash which had a prong collar attached. as I walked a short distance. I turned and could see the confusion and hurt in my pups eyes. As Mel held her collar up. we completed the session paid our $65 for the hour and never returned. I now see why it was Alec we first met to represent the company.
