I honestly wish I could give more then 5 stars. From the moment I came in I felt like I had made the right decision to come not only to Aligned, but more importantly the River North location. I live in Lincoln Square and pass about 4 other Aligned Modern Health locations, but it was worth it to work with the River North Staff. Jeanine is the most positive, up beat and helpful person you will ever meet. Insurance and scheduling is never easy, but she made it painless. Dr. DiMaggio was a pleasure to work with. I was able to speak openly and honestly about my issues and I could tell he cared to get to the cause of the problem. I had been to a chiro before and felt like they wanted to keep me as a life long patient, but Dr. DiMaggio truly cared about improving my health. He even suggested I consult the nutritionist, when my health concerns needed a more holistic approach. I looked forward to my sessions with him and Eugene, who was very attentive and ensured I had the tools to improve my health at and beyond Aligned. My back pain was at a 7/8 when I started and by the time I was finished I was at a 0/1. I am able to maintain a pain free life given the tools Eugene and Dr. DiMaggio gave me. I have recommended this team to many friends, and my mother even traveled from the Northwest burbs to be treated here. She has suffered back paid for years, and now this year she can garden without having days of bed rest to follow. If I had to make one suggestion, I would employ corporate to get new chairs for the waiting area, they are very uncomfortable and do not promote good posture. In line with other reviews. Doctor Caitlyn is amazing but billing is very very sketchy. My first visit the front desk lady did not ask for my insurance as I was leaving, just a method of payment. This was this difference between a $60 co pay or $300 charge, for a Chiropractic evaluation is insane. I also confirmed with my insurance that I get 10 free adjustments a year. After my 2nd visit when I got adjusted I just got a random $250 invoice. Would not recommended to anyone. read more

I rarely write reviews but unbelievably frustrating... confirmed with 2 people my insurance was taken here. I take the time off work, uber $20 for them to tell me acupuncture is going to $170 and I'm self pay and theres a new note they don't take my insurance. Confirmed multiple times with THEM they took my insurance, so spent money on an uber, and took time off of work, for something THEY confirmed with me? If you are tired of living with pain, then you MUST give the staff at AMH a try! I have intermittent lower back pain and nerve discomfort. My journey with AMH has been stellar from start to finish. I am a client of the River North Clinic on Superior. The clinic manager, Nassiya, is delightful and has gone above and beyond helping me with insurance and billing questions. She is efficient and very responsive. Dr. Painchaud (physician) did my initial exam. She helped me relax with her friendly and positive attitude. I received a very thorough exam filled with questions and diagnostic tests. I did not feel rushed. Dr. Painchaud took the time to get to know me and my condition. Afterwards, she explained clearly her medical opinion on my condition and then (most importantly) came up with an action plan to get me feeling better. I have complete confidence in her expertise and decided to follow her recommendation of chiropractic adjustments and PT. Finally, i met Jay, the rehab specialist. He is a fun guy with a great sense of humor. He has been showing me different exercises and movements to practice at home. He is extremely knowledgeable and attentive during our sessions together. He welcomes questions and enjoys educating you on why you are doing what you are doing. I am "over the moon" on the progress that I have made in a relatively short period of time. I even experienced a complete day free of pain!!!! Dr. Painchaud had the right diagnosis and plan for me to feel better quickly. Her adjustments leave me feeling immediately lighter and better. The improvements I have made with Jay's help are also seen very quickly. I highly recommend these AMH professionals and thank them. I am very grateful for their help and support. read more

I was a patient of Dr Murach's for 10 sessions over 6 weeks and saw zero progress because she misdiagnosed my condition. [I had an MRI which I showed to the Doctor]. I went to a physical therapist a few blocks away and saw significant improvement in 2 weeks because of a correct diagnosis. While she was very nice [and Caroline was too], the rehab specialists were condescending. The clinic was also very disorganized. read more

I have been a patient since 2017 and seen this place go downhill. It's harder to get an appointment for when you need one. In fact, sometimes downright impossible. Need to reschedule an appointment? It'll take two weeks. There have been three office managers/receptionists since I started coming here. Each has been worse than the last. I miss the first one. She was friendly and welcoming. The current one is cold and unfriendly on her best day. There was a time when I could have given Aligned a five star review. No longer. I'm now looking for somewhere new to go. read more

It's unfortunate that I'm writing a neg review as the doctor I saw was absolutely wonderful, however this place has asinine prices and shady billing practices (see Yelp reviews for other locations for people's experiences as well). I researched avg pricing for chiros in the area and spoke to friends/family who regularly see chiros around the city so I would know what to expect price-wise. They did go over billing beforehand, but imagine my surprise when they quoted me $250-$500?? After I had seen/heard avg quotes of $80-$150? I was shocked but felt uncomfortable leaving. The receptionist explained it's usually due to new patient preliminary things - xrays, exams, etc. So here I am expecting a bill on the lower end of that range as I only did a few exercises and was adjusted maybe twice - no xrays, no extensive exam, etc... I received a bill for nearly $400 last week - crazy ridiculous in the first place but okay fine I was given that range. Upon looking further at the bill though, I can see they charged me for "extended time". I called and was told that was for going over the allotted hour for the appointment?? First and foremost, being charged by appointment minutes is absurd and something I've never heard of or experienced from any other medical professional. Despite this questionable practice, I requested a time breakdown as I was sure I did not go over. They then revealed that I had been billed for 25 mins of "non face to face" time - 25 mins that put me over the hour. They wouldn't specify what exactly was logged in my case but said the overall charge is classified as patient preparation, paperwork, reviewing history/results, and writing/sending prescriptions. I had no history or results to review, no meds prescribed and I had come in for a consult days before not to mention filled out a ton of prep paperwork online before coming in. So I was essentially charged for 25 minutes of vague "paperwork". Imagine if you had test results or prescriptions needed. It'd be even more/longer! So they can basically charge you for any amount of unspecified "non face to face" time. Despite trying to fight the charge, they auto charged my card (they require one on file) and refused to look into the appointment time record further despite me pointing out that I was not even seen promptly at 1:30 (the start time) but rather closer to 1:45. Skip this place you can find somewhere SO much more affordable with ethical billing practices. read more

Meh. Not the most impressed with this place. I chose to try it out because it was closer than my other chiropractor but their services did not meet my standards. Their services sound great at first, with the option for medical massage, etc but what I found is other chiropractors will allow a longer and more frequent massage cadence (obviously with medical need) than these guys will. Bottom line is I didn't feel like my pain was getting managed here. In fact I felt like the few weeks I was a patient here it greatly increased. read more

My experience here was great and their approach to wellness seems more holistic than others in the space. Dr. DiMaggio and Eugene were great to work with and helped identify the root causes of my symptoms. It was my first time doing PT alongside adjustments and I wouldn't go back to adjustments only. The whole team at Aligned Modern Health has been so incredible to work with over the course of my visits. I have loved all of my sessions and I walk away feeling stronger and more importantly, better informed on the way my body is functioning and healing. I've been eager to get a real answer for my lower back issues for a while. I have L5/S1 issues and my hips have taken a toll as a result. I love my work out at the Bar Method and my time at AMH has complimented my goals in the Bar Method studio perfectly. I finally feel like my workouts and PT are in sync, after years of trying to find a place that works with my current routine as opposed to dragging it down or fighting against it (or ignoring my passion for my exercise). Great experience all around! Dr. DiMaggio, Eugene, and the front desk staff are all excellent and truly do care for their patients in a unique customized manner. I was experiencing some shoulder pain after an injury and after a series of treatments, I had my mobility back and was pain-free. Have also seen them due to some previous knee injuries that led to hip issues and the team took a holistic approach to getting me back on my normal exercise routine. As other reviews state, I leave the clinic feeling better and stronger than when I walked in. Highly recommend the group here. Very rude! Went into office to try to reschedule since hours at work had changed. The receptionist was very rude and the first thing she said was 'this is the third time we have rescheduled you'. This was not true, it was the second. More than anything it was her attitude that put me off. I told her she could just cancel me as I would not be back. I've undergone chiropractic care for years and have been incredibly interested in health an wellness. At AMH I found everything i need in one place, and it's amazing! Dr. Roberts is incredibly personable and professional - really getting to know you and care about you as a patient and wanting you to live your fullest life vs be hindered by pain or issues. The full staff goes over your treatment plans and unlike other clinics, doesn't try to sell you things you don't need or give you advice that's incorrect. His treatment plan, the physical therapy plan and sessions and manual therapy treatments got me back up and to my normal activity levels in no time - while having a great time. I've expanded the services I go to AMH for and now see their functional medicine doctor and nutritionist. After 5 years of struggling and undiagnosed with traditional MDs, the functional medicine doctor was able to give me thorough tests and we uncovered the true underlying issues and I am currently on a treatment plan and supplements that are 100% helping all of these things. Everyone from Amanda the Manager to each staff member and even staff rotating in from other locations have always been amazing to see and work with and get to know. I never once have felt like I was being diagnosed wrong, charged for things I didn't need etc. Their goal is to get you in and out and get you healthy as quickly as possible. Wonderful care all around. Dr. Murach is my 5th chiropractor in 7 years and she has provided the most comprehensive care I have ever received. The space is clean, the staff is helpful and polite, and it's an overall excellent experience. Not only is the care that you receive at Aligned best in class, but the chiropractors, massage therapists and office management are even better. The treatment plans aren't standardized but customized by patient based on need, which likely encompass chiropractic adjustments, chiropractic massage and/or physical therapy. The combination of chiropractic massage with Victoria and an adjustment from Dr. DiMaggio not only decreases my pain level significantly after each visit, but my overall pain level is decreasing quickly over time. From the incredibly welcoming atmosphere of the office to the expertise of the medical staff, I couldn't speak more highly of Aligned Modern Health if I tried! read more
